A CAUTIONARY TALE for future customers of St Nicholas Gun and Sporting Goods…read more In 2018, I was given a gift certificate with no expiration date to use at St Nicholas' new gun range. I took a friend for a range session. I used the gift certificate to pay for both of our range charges. There was a balance of approximately $48.00 on the gift certificate. I was handed a St Nicholas-branded receipt with the remaining balance handwritten. I stuffed the receipt in my gun bag. Years pass. While cleaning out my gun bag one day, I found the gift certificate receipt with the outstanding balance. Returned today for another range session. Pulled out the gift certificate balance, here again with no expiration date, to pay, and was told that it would not be honored. The reason? There was a new owner. Admittedly, it had been a while since I had used the gift certificate. Still, regardless of time, the money had been paid to St Nicholas Gun and Sporting Goods. Take this experience as a cautionary tale that may or may not influence any future business you might consider doing with St Nicholas Gun and Sporting Goods.

They do a good job in making sure everyone is following safety procedures while at the gun range. To use a lane at the range is about $20 and you can bring your own ammo or purchase it at the store. I also went to the beginner's gun course that this store offers for $99. It was a good introduction to handguns and goes over the basics on how to fire a gun. They also offer concealed carry classes as well as others.

What I like about it: 1- The range officer is always present and never leaves anyone on the shooting line alone. Safety is the highest priority and it shows. I've had to ask for help before and have never been made to feel less than or dumb for not being comfortable doing something (in this case it was clearing an ammunition double feed). The range has up to date technology and is clean and well maintained. 2- The staff in the retail area are very knowledgable. They won't tell you what to buy but if you describe the characteristics of what you're looking for, they can help you narrow down some options. They encourage you to hold and handle as many as you'd like and I e never felt rushed. 3- There's a pretty large selections of firearms available for rent. The ability to try a firearm out really helps when making a costly investment. You can also rent the safety equipment and purchase range ammunition and targets. 4- The price for both daily range use and/or membership is reasonable. They have a nice discount for military members. If you go for a membership you can bring two guests for free per year. My personal wish list: 1- One-on-one training/classes with instructors for those who would like to work on skills beyond the basic firearm safety/concealed carry class that is offered. Other topics (like marksmanship, home defense, etc) would be great too. 2- Would love to see a female behind the retail desk and/or on the range. (Sorry if they have one and I just haven't spotted her yet!) The gentlemen are great, but sometimes a lady just wants another female perspective when talking about firearms as they pertain to women. 3- That's pretty much it. I'll update the list as new come to me.

I go into GT Distributors November 2024 and I purchase a Sig P365 X-Macro. I wait the 3 days i pick up smooth process. So, I go on buds gun shop and I order an AR Pistol next and send it to GT Distributors who I asked prior to sending it if it was ok and they said yes. Okay now here is where it gets messed up. My order arrived but I was a little nervous because Buds gunshop used an old phone number and address on the piece of paper they put in the box even though I changed all of it (because i moved) to the correct stuff before ordering. So, I didnt think it would be a big deal I called GT Distributors once I saw it was delivered. The woman on the phone says to me "Sir, you're solid. Just go in if no one has called you yet. We charge 25 dollars to expedite putting your firearm in the system and you can literally just come in when you see it delivered pay 25 for the expedite and then the FFL transfer fee and we will get you squared away" I go in and im told something completely different and im made aware that Orange Park GT Distributors doesnt answer their own phones its some person in like Kentucky or something. So, instead of being difficult I left and waited until like 7pm and I called the number back so I could give GT Distributors customer service a hard time because I was a bit pissed i wasted and hour of my time and gas for nothing but i was in no way upset with orange park facility. The woman put me on hold and I guess called orange park and she talked to i forget his name but hes a manager white hair white beard kind salt and pepper and a little shorter but a complete asshole. She gets back on the phone and says "Sir, You're all set you can go in tomorrow and pick up your firearm" I asked her if i would be good because i didnt want to have a bad repore and i wasnt upset with orange park and she says "Our job is to sell firearms and transfers no one is upset with you for calling" So, I am like oh heck yeah this is going to be easier than i thought. I go in the next day NOW that guy I mentioned before he Starts SCREAMING at me infront of customers threatening to return my firearm and telling me he doesnt care what the people on the phone said. He also tried saying the lady on the phone said i was running my mouth and then i told him i dont understand why youre yelling at me infront of customers and we can call her right now and if i wanted to be actually difficult with you i would of called them from the parkinglot when you turned me away the day prior for the miscommunication of information. He chilled out and then let me do my FFL stuff but my point being is this place gives me anxiety. I tell EVERY single person from on target sports to basics gun and range all their employees and members i meet about that experience with GT Distributors and its wild because everyone always knows who im talking about. I wana say the dudes name was Mark but dont hold me to it. People also say when i mention what happend that if you arent a LEO they pretty much dont want your business. I am a COMBAT Veteran 10th Mountain Division and did 1 combat deployment and 1 gucci deployment i say that to say F OFFF!!!! Ill never shop there and im going to run my mouth to every single person i meet about your location. I think what could fix it is retraining the manager because no matter what the customer is always right and he is from a generation that should understand that. I think they also need to be the ones answering their own phones. Everyone else there seemed really cool and the person who checked me out after cock boy yelled at me was really cool. I want to say the managers name was Mark so if it were me id avoid them. They have good stock but On Target Sports is right down the road from them and have a bigger selection and are super cool and Basics Guns & Range will start your 3 day wait from the day you made your order on buds gun shop and not from the day you finally get to go in and do the paperwork. Both better more stand up organizations that GT Distributors!

Well I'll start by saying that I tried to review a product on their web page and despite it posting…read moreafter sending me an email to confirm I was the reviewer the review magically dissappears once the web page is refreshed. I also attempted to post the review on their Facebook page and it wouldn't post either so something is shady. Here is the review: I'll explain the pros and cons of the holster below but, just to sum it up quickly for those that do not wish to read my entire review, the holster has way too much slop between the pistol and the holster especially when compared to other manufacturers holsters. It definitely does not fit like a glove and a significant amount of daylight is visible around the entire pistol with the exception of the trigger guard. The only way to eliminate any movement within the holster is to tighten the tensioning screws to the point that it requires an unnecessary amount of force to remove the pistol from the holster. This might vary on other holsters manufactured by Concealment Express so this is strictly a judgment of the Sig P365 holster. To start, I purchased the following for a new SIG P365 that is replacing the Kimber Micro 9 I currently carry. So I ordered the IWB Kydex holster in carbon fiber (SSR-P365-CF-RH-VAR), the claw kit (CE-CLAW-KIT), the 1.75" belt clip (CEX-175BLTCLP) and the quick draw lubricant (CE-QUICKDRAW). TOTAL $70.80. At the moment I'm using a Vedder LightTuck holster with claw attachment and prior to that it was a Badger Concealment holster. Both companies had pros and cons to their holsters and Concealment Express seemed to bridge the gap. I liked the large plastic clip of the Badger but it lacked the adjustability of the clip that the Vedder and the Concealment Express holsters have as well as a claw kit. I did modify the Badger to accept the claw kit but that's another matter. The Vedder on the other hand has the adjustability and the claw kit however I am not partial to the metal clip that they use. They also are also more expensive. Perhaps you get what you pay for. Quality wise both Badger and Vedder make excellent products. The goal with the Concealment Express holster was to bridge the gap because it seemed to offer the best of both holsters and was cheaper than the Vedder at $79.37 shipped. Pros: the kydex, clip, hardware and claw kit all appear to be quality. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not need the 1.75" clip that I purchased in order to use the holster with my current gun belt which is slightly under 1.75". With both Badger and Vedder the 1.75" clip was required to accommodate my belt. Shipping was also quick and free. Cons: as mentioned above there is a significant amount of play when the pistol is holstered and the tensioning screws are adjusted to an acceptable level. If you tighten them to the point that the slop is eliminated it requires an ungodly amount of force to remove the pistol from the holster. Can you say wedgie! Now granted my experience with both Badger and Vedder has only involved a Kimber Micro 9, a SIG P226 and a Kahr CW9 however none of them had anything close to the amount of slop that this holster has. I can only conclude that this is a) poor design and engineering or b) i received an outlier which speaks to quality control. Also the claw kit is more robust than that used by Vedder however the extra bulk doesn't aid in concealing the pistol anymore than the less obtrusive Vedder claw. This is strictly opinion. I am skeptical of the reviews on here as they're all rated highly (another reason for choosing Concealment Express)and I cannot possibly believe that someone that has experience with other holsters would find the holster that I have acceptable. So, in conclusion, it looks like I'll be buying a Vedder so I can compare apples to apples and I will update my review at that time if it allows me to.
