Great dentist. I had bad root canals and implants done by another dentist which caused pain and discomfort. Dr. Kuy had to remove them, complete bone and gum grafts and replaced the implants about 8 years ago. He did a quality job and I have not had any issues since. Team is considerate, and cleanings were easy. He may be a little more expensive but well worth it. Highly recommend. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Ky's since 2014. Fast forward to 7 years later, and I am still a loyal client of his. Some things I really like about this place: 1. Cleanliness: this place is always on tip top shape. 2. Professional employees: they are always dressed nice, carry themselves well, and you feel welcomed there. 3. Great communication skills: I have never had issues with appointments. They give you an appointment card & also send text reminders 1-3 days before your appointment. 4. Dr. Ky is hilarious! I like a dentist whose not too serious with a great sense of humor! The only cons I can think of is how busy Dr. Ky can get since he has such a loyal group of clients. Sometimes, there's a wait time even with an appointment. Once in awhile I'm already seen, but I am there longer than anticipated. I also love the dental hygienists there! Dy Ky said the tooth was bad and had infection and needed to be pulled. He gently administered local anesthetic and 1/2 later pulled the tooth out.he showed me the infection. I'm really sad to have to write this review. I started seeing Dr. Kuy a few years ago and have recommended him to my entire family here in Stockton. My husband just recently went and saw him, due to my recommendation, and had a really disappointing experience. My husband had an appt. to get some fillings done. His appt. was at 9am, but he was called by staff early that morning asking. If he'd like to come in even sooner, at 8am, instead. So he arrived at 7:45am. He stayed in his car and called at 8, like instructed to do, but no one ever answered. He then just went to the door and went in where he had to wait in the waiting area for another 1/2 hour. After finally being brought to a chair, his whole mouth was immediately numbed for his procedure. And he waited for Dr. Ky to return. And waited and waited. For AN HOUR, numbed, just sitting in the chair. Now for anyone who has had their face numbed before, you know it's already a weird uncomfortable feeling. But that was seriously aggravated by sitting there for an hour, with not a single staff member coming to check on him or let him know there was any kind of hold up. My husband is also a veteran that suffers from ptsd and the anxiety levels were risen due to not being able to feel his face and just being totally left there. But, my husband being the nice guy he is, was trying to be understanding. He went ahead and got the fillings. He did tell Dr. Ky that he wasn't pleased with being left there waiting. All while they are the ones that called him to come in early, and he wasn't even seen until after his original later appt. time anyways. Very frustrating when we have to make baby sitting arrangements and having no communication from staff about the wait. That evening, my husband noticed that one of the fillings was already coming out and he couldn't close his mouth because another filling was too high. So he called Dr. Ky's office and they asked him to come back early again the next morning. Yet again, the next morning, he had to wait a very long time, but that was expected since they squeezed him in between appts. My husband brought up his frustrations of what happened the day before to Dr. Ky and Dr. Ky came across defensive and justified that he had other patients to attend to. So why book multiple procedures with multiple patients at the same exact time?? Dr. Ky fixed the fillings and thankfully refunded my husband. Fast forward to now, a few weeks later, my husband now can't drink or eat hot or super cold things without his teeth bothering him, nothing he ever had before. The filling is still sticking out and we have no idea what damage may have been done from Dr. Ky's work. Ultimately, I'm really disappointed in the entire experience and treatment my husband got. I had been going to Dr. Ky myself and had referred literally my entire family. Sadly, we'll all be finding a new dentist. read more

So check it out yo, first off I hate going to the dentist, but it's a necessary service that we will all use at some point. Having said that Dr. Ky is probably the best dentist that I've ever been to. He's really down to earth but very professional and confident in his training. So let me tell you I had a pretty big cavity that was pretty deep but I guess it hadn't reached the nerve, which was a good thing for me. Dr Ky came in and said "do you want a shot" and I'm looking at him like "are you crazy of course I want a shot". He said "I don't think you need one" I'm like "dude are you that confident in your skill that it won't hurt, because getting your teach drill has always sucked for me". He was like "sit back and raise your left hand if you want me to stop and give you a shot" I said "deal". 15 mins later he was done and I didn't feel anything other than the normal drilling being done. First time I've ever had a filling done without a shot and it was amazing. I love how Dr. Ky is a real person who loves his job and gets along well with his staff and they aren't afraid to joke with him with fear of being terminated. I was so scared going in for my impacted wisdom tooth extraction but it wasn't what I expected. It was fast and painless. Prior to finding his office, I went to an office in Tracy and i felt like they didn't want to help me at all. So I called around and started using Yelp to make the process easier so then I found dr. kuy ky's office. they told me if I could provide them with a copy of my X-ray they can give me a price and we would go from there. Oh Dr. Kuy!! What to say about Dr. Kuy! First off he is AMAZING!!! One of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. I found Dr. Kuy by watching a morning health program. He was being interviewed and talking about all the amazing new things that can be done to treat dental situations. I live in Sacramento and drove all the way to Stockton to meet this dentist that I believed to be a perfect fit for me! I walked into his office in desperate need of dental help. Actually I needed and Angel and a miracle. I am chronically ill with a chronic pain disease and have been avoiding the dentist for a long time due to not wanting to be caused more pain and because I was ashamed of my teeth. I came in to the office in January for a consult and hoping all my dental work could done by my upcoming wedding on May 20th. My hope was to truly smile on my wedding day! I have Dr. Kuy quiet a challenge. I had broken teeth, discoloration, and was missing some of my smile. I hadn't truly smiled in years. Well today was my finally appointment and I just left his office smiling and crying the happiest tears. My honey says that Dr. Kuy gave me something that no one else in the world could have given back to me. All the love in the world from my spouse couldn't have given me what Dr. Kuy did. Having a beautiful smile makes you more confident, puts a little pep back in your step, and in my case it has helped bring back the life in me. 1 day after my completed work and I can't stop smiling! Dr. Kuy is truly amazing! He was up for the challenge! There was a few appointments where I was there all day. He took his time and was patient with me when I needed breaks. He offered to get lunch for us on multiple occasions. He is very gentle and most of the work was pain free (if I didn't have a Chronic Pain disease I believe it would have all been pain free) including the removal of broken teeth. Most importantly there was not one moment where Dr. Kuy made me feel bad about my teeth or the condition they were in when I came to him. He never once said anything along the lines of what I could have, should have, or would have done definitely. Every dentist I have been too has made some sort of comment along the lines of "if you would have brushed 4 times a day, if you would have come in 6 months ago, or you should have used this product" but not Dr. Kuy!!! Everytime I left his office I left feeling better than when I arrived. Dentistry is not just a job for him. Dentistry is his life, his craft, his baby!
