I'm not sure why, but choosing a dentist for my son was so difficult. Why? Because I want to make…read moresure that my little one gets the best care and treatment possible of course! After doing some research, we decided upon Kids Care Dental. I knew of the business because my old hair stylist used to work at another of their locations. That was over 15 years ago and they are still open. This, to me, signaled that they are a company I can trust and one that is there for the long haul. From the very beginning , my experience was a positive one. I received a call from the receptionist, Rio to schedule our son's appointment. She offered an appointment that same week! Already, I was happy with the quick access to care. Upon our arrival to the appointment , I was happy to see Rio was the receptionist checking us in as well since she was so friendly and knowledgeable. She offered our son some coloring sheets and crayons. Being that coloring is one of his favorite pastime's , he was ecstatic ! Any nerves he had shown before were calmed by this activity and by the child-friendly atmosphere. I noticed they had a cute dry erase board to the right of the desk that said "Welcome new friends" and on it , were the names of all the new patients that day ! That was the cutest, most personal touch. Our wait was short and the appointment was timely. When my son was called back, he ran to hide behind me when the RDH walked up and mentioned x-rays. She said her name was Angelica, and I noticed she caught on to this bundle of nerves right away. She spoke calmly to him and explained everything she was doing as she did it, and provided reassurance along the way. After x-rays, he seemed to have established a sense of comfort and trust, and happily followed her to the exam area. He was elated to see tv monitors above each exam chair ! Angelica was great with him as she checked his teeth, cleaned them, and worked with him. Shortly after she saw him, the dentist Dr. Annabel came up and introduced herself. She was also very pleasant and had a calm demeanor that really helped our son feel comfortable. Angelica gave our son a goodie bag with a little toothbrush, top, flossers, and toothpaste. He loved that ! She had previously asked what his favorite color was, and made sure the goodie bag contents matched. More personalization ! As we left, they took his photo and printed it out for us. So cute! We left feeling great about the visit we had and confident about his new dental office, and any care he would subsequently receive. Lastly, as if the excellent visit weren't enough , a few days later, our son received a thank you card in the mail. He was over the moon to receive his first personal mail. Great job KCD!! Highly recommend!

After I called back and provided the correct information, the appointment was rescheduled. Having my son's appointment rescheduled twice, especially after arranging time off work, was frustrating and inconvenient. Additionally, my interactions with Perla were not as friendly or welcoming as I expected. Her communication came across as very direct and lacked the level of customer service I would hope for in a pediatric dental office. Due to the repeated scheduling issues and overall experience, I have decided to move forward with another dental office. My appointment for my wisdom teeth removal was on 8/28 and I called on 8/26 because mind you their lodi location only opens Tues and Thurs, i was informed by the their admin Natalie which in no form is her fault that the services will be $171 dollars. The appointment day comes and they actually texted me that i could be seen sooner. I live far out so i didn't reply since i would be there roughly still the time of my appointment. Well then they called. They had those two opportunities to tell me my insurance wasn't going to cover the full amount, they didn't. They told me after they did everything it only took 10 minutes and then said it will be $306. That was almost double what i was quoted. Mind you they didn't even offer to do anything off their mistake. Its was like they valued more the money than a customer to build a relationship with their business. After i physically showed i was upset their only proposal was to pay have and then the rest when i came back. Im sorry but at that point i was like this is a joke. Speechless i left paying the $306 it was going on a credit card anyways. I left hoping they would do the right thing and offer me back my money no call. I waited to leave a review because i was hoping even now they would call to give me my money back and nothing. At this point i just want to warn young adults really looking for a lifetime dentist to not fully trust because people do take advantage unfortunately. Enjoy my not given tip.
