This Kwiker has a wider parking lot and pump space than most but what the hey another corn field down on the west side of Red Wing. We may enter on the further drive to avoid traffic at the pumps if not seeking fuel for the auto, but just fuel for the soul. The usual Kwik Trip variety laid out in easy categories, (but no big belt buckles here). A happy cashier who actually smiled and said something cute. Easy exit out the drive avoiding a near collision with the pump traffic. read more

"Getting Tanked" Yes, yes, I know. You can just jump on a gas app to find out which station has the cheapest fuel. But if driving through Red Wing and you haven't read my review, how else are you going to know that as you make your way from downtown out to Burnside, there is a direct correlation between the sketch level of the three Kwik Trips you will drive by and how far north they are located. To risk the least amount of bodily or car body harm due to parking lot chaos, go north young man! While all three locations offer the same tasty soup options, fresh produce, hot spot snacks, and baked goods (don't look at the nutrition label on the muffins--it doesn't count if you don't look, right?), the Burnside location also has the best coffee bar setup and engaging customer service. On the front door is a sign that says masks required, no one but me was wearing a mask except one employee but she didn't have hers covering her nose. As I was looking for what I needed I saw the smoker come in and go behind the counter, without a mast. So out of 3 people working 1 person was wearing a mask, but not completely. I decided this wasn't the store for me and went down the road to Kwik Trip where they are friendly and not rude, and everyone was wearing a mask because it's required. I don't like wearing a mask either, and I would love for all of us to be able to stop, but you have a sign on your door about two feet from where you're smoking that says they are required, but apparently not for you??!!

Also, watch out for the half-and half dispenser. Nearly always the nozzle is bent/pointed towards you--not down--and when you push it, it sprays the cream AT YOU. We have three Kwik Trips in Red Wing now but this one seems like it is run by another company or something.
