The impact was not minor -- repair estimate is about $1,000. When I reported it to the manager, Robert Ellington, he was shockingly dismissive. He told me it wasn't his problem, that he didn't care, and that I needed to contact their parent company. The parent company (Linn Company) responded by immediately saying they weren't to blame because "no other car reported damage that day." Between the negligent equipment and the complete lack of accountability from both the location manager and the corporate office, this was one of the most unprofessional customer experiences I've ever had. Bottom line: their "touchless" marketing is misleading, their equipment is dangerous, and their staff/leadership will not take responsibility. I strongly recommend avoiding this car wash -- not worth risking damage to your vehicle or the headache of dealing with indifference from management.

Apparently this the way things are with Circle K. You now have go into the 'convenience' store. Then, if you want to fill your tank, you have to GUESS how much gas you need. Then you PREPAY for your gas and go back out to your car and hope you paid enough to maximize the use of your Rewards points. And if you're unlucky enough to talk to the snotty uninformative employee I encountered, you're crabby about her too. Then when you get home and call Cub's main customer service you get to try to deal with someone who barely speaks English and knows nothing about what's going on in Minnesota.
