Glazer Doughnut with Chocolate Drizzle: Kwik Trip is a convenience store/gas station chain located primarily in the upper Mid-West. It was founded in 1965 in my home state of WI, specifically, Eau Claire (have fun pronouncing that all you non-Wisconsinites). It wasn't until 2003 that Kwik Trip introduced their Glazer Doughnuts. I couldn't find a lot of info on Glazers, but they appear to simply be the Kwik Trip version of a glazed doughnut. The Glazer that I got my hands on is a yeast/raised doughnut, covered in a sweet glaze, and has a chocolate drizzle on top. There's a pale/whitish appearance to the doughnut since the layer of glaze is so thick. With an appearance like that it reminded me a bit of a zebra or oddly enough, the Warboys from Mad Max. My glazer was satisfyingly sweet, and the chocolate drizzle was a nice touch as it was not simply for aesthetics, but did add some milk chocolate flavor. Warming it in the microwave for a few seconds elevated it to near Krispy Kreme status (aka perfection). Even though it's an ersatz Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnut (to be fair, all other glazed doughnuts in my experience are), Kwik Trip's version is still tasty enough to be Doughboy approved My top doughnut shops: 1. Great gas prices? Clean pumps and good variety in their convenience store. Only draw back was that about 5 pumps were out of service. There were plenty of pumps though. Fast on and off the expressway! read more

First time coming here, wanted to grab a quick snack on my way to Oshkosh. Great location, very clean and friendly, social staff. Great stuff on sale and always has great fresh food like their other locations. Ample amount of parking as well. Overall great location to visit. read more

I'm as surprised as you are that I'm reviewing a gas station, but when you have a great experience you kind of have to. I stopped at this location on my way back to Chicago from Wisconsin because I knew gas off the Ryan Rd exit tends to be among the cheapest. I filled up and went inside to grab some coffee for the road. A woman came up and was super friendly, talking about their Karuba gold machine; she went through how it works and which were her favorites and even offered to get my coffee for me since I was passing through on a holiday. The store itself is a pretty typical Kwik Trip, but the customer service is superb. I'll be back, and not just for cheaper gas next time. read more

The elite car wash is only $11!!! Easy access right off I94 (currently construction, but it isn't too bad) and the location has enough space where you don't feel cramped. There are two lanes one is for soft touch and the other is touchless, I opted for soft touch and had zero issues. The car wash has a cash or card option. After you lay there are buttons next to each wash option so you can select what kind of wash you're looking for. Elite is their most expensive option with all their bells and whistles that they offer. I was very pleased with my results and definitely will be back. I don't appreciate the public education killing politics of ownership, but the workers here are so nice and helpful, the store is always clean and well stocked, I don't usually have to wait long in line, the gas prices are usually good, and the tire air is free. read more

The gas price matches the Love's and Pilot across the highway. The mini grocery store has fresh staple items. There are two car washes here, one with clothe and one that is touchless. The get your car clean unlike some places. There are two no fee ATMs here. The cashiers are every friendly, they informed me you can buy lottery tickets with an Debit card. Kwik Trip is your 1 stop shop. I'll start with the negatives so I get those out of the way: -sometimes long wait times at the register--even when there are unoccupied registers and workers behind the counter that won't help. -deals on items are sparse--rarely on energy drinks, gum (that you'll find for cheaper elsewhere), and the hot sandwiches are pretty pricey. Now the overwhelming positives: -great hot food options--always very tasty and fresh for gas station food -wide variety on all food/drink options--coffee/soda bar, ground meats/sausage, liquor options behind the register, donuts and pastries galore. -staff always seem to have a positive/upbeat attitude. Not always helpful (see above) but I think they mostly try their best. -competitive gas prices and oh so conveniently located just off I-94. In all aspects--come empty, leave full. read more

Gosh, I can't say enough good things about this place. I go out of my way to go here! Pros: -Convenient location -Low gas prices -Amazingly friendly staff -Fresh hot food and bakery - the cake donuts are awesome! -Fresh coffee is always being made -Great hot cappuccino selection -Clean restrooms -Best automatic car wash in the area! This location is right by the highway and if you're coming from the east, it's the closet station and isn't in that horrible clutter further down. You don't need to come here for gas; you can just run in and grab some food. -Always the cheapest prices on gas, same as Love's and Pilot's further down, if not lower. -The food inside that they make is delicious! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it's all there. The prices are just slightly high but it's so good that you shouldn't let it be a factor in deciding what you want. I mean, pretzel and cheese without having to go to the ballpark and cheese-filled breadsticks without having to go to a pizza place? I would pay whatever for them! -The variety of other products is extensive, like a mini grocery store. If you're coming home from a trip and know your kitchen is empty, you can get your bread, milk, eggs, and dinner here at a great price to hold you off for the rest of the day. -The place is always clean, the aisles are roomy and not crammed, and the staff are always helpful and polite with a smile. -They have different specials every month on food and drinks so be sure to pick up a flyer before leaving. read more

I feel almost odd writing a review about a gas station, but that should tell you how they run things there. KT is known amongst me and my employees as having the best fresh food. What a reputation to have! The burgers and hot dogs are a treat. And the coffee is fantastic! Lastly, I actually felt compelled to write to their corporate offices once due to the service I received at this specific location. There has YET to be a visit where I was not greeted pleasantly. They always try the extra "Would you be interested in..." line as I am checking out, but NEVER makes me feel obligated or uncomfortable. That's actually a very good thing. Overview - Easy on/off I94 with nice employees. Customer Service 3.5/5 This Kwik Trip is so easy to access heading west off of I94. Right turns all the way! It's clean, tons of pumps, and staffed well. Their Karuba Gold specialty coffee drinks, tho they come from a gas station, are really good! Their donuts are decent but just slightly overpriced. The employees in my multiple shopping experiences have always been good-really nice. I haven't had a single experience of bad customer service, so that helps! read more

I never thought I'd take the time to review a gas station, but I have to today. The staff here is phenomenal, particularly Samantha. Last night, I got into my car after school in southern Wisconsin, and I realized I had very little gas in my car. When I reached for my wallet on the way to the nearest gas station, I realized I had forgotten it at home. With little gas and no way to pay for it, I decided to try to make it home to Milwaukee anyway. I was in Oak Creek when it became very obvious that I wasn't going to make it home. I pulled into this Kwik Trip with next to no gas, and called AAA to bring me gas. AAA told me over and over that there was nothing they could do to help me if I didn't have cash or a card to pay for whatever gas they brought me (I am calling AAA today to complain about this whole mess). I had no cash or card, since I didn't have my wallet. I knew nobody in the area, so I was pretty much just stranded. Samantha, the cashier, noticed I was in a bit of distress while I was on the phone. She asked if everything was okay, so I explained the situation to her. She IMMEDIATELY OFFERED TO LEND ME MONEY for gas. I told her she would be an absolute lifesaver if she did, so she went in the back to get some money (at least I think that's what she was doing). While she was back there, a customer next to me, who had watched my interaction with Samantha, handed me $10 for gas. Even though I ultimately got the money from that customer, I think he was prompted to give it to me because he had seen how willing Samantha was to give me money. I ended up putting the $10 of gas in my car, and got home safely. This darn gas station is a holy place to me! Those two strangers, including Samantha, saved me last night! They were my guardian angels. They had never seen me in their lives, and they were willing to do what they could to help me out of a most unfortunate predicament. I am so thankful for their kindness, and the whole event honestly brings tears to my eyes and gives me faith in humanity. I will pay their good deeds forward over and over. Kwik trip advertised eggs on sale for .99 cents through the end of April and then cancelled the sale. Store clerk claimed it was because of egg supply too low. Went down the street to Aldi's and eggs were on sale .68 cents. Aldi's must have a better supplier or is kwik trip gouging it's customers?? read more

Alas, I find myself reviewing a gas station. When given the choice, I always pick Kwik Trip over all others because of the familiarity and variety. This particular location is probably the nicest gas station I have ever seen, for what that's worth. I make frequent trips between Milwaukee and Chicago and I really appreciate that even in the middle of the night can get a decent cup of coffee without feeling like I'm disturbing movie time at the truck stop up the road. read more
