Wide variety of liquor, wine, beer, and spirits. Typical stock of convenience store items (snacks, candy, soda, canned goods, milk, etc.). Prices are in line with other similar stores in the area. The thing that set this one apart from the others was the friendliness of the clerk.

And let me tell you it was a very nice surprise! This place is family owned and the cashier was one of the owners. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable and loved to share his knowledge about fresh, organic food. I had the XL Taco Salad which is so big is good for lunch and dinner. And had the peanut butter cocoa smoothie. Both are really good. I am from Los Angeles and I miss my PB smoothie from my local favorite place and this took me home! I really like all the variety of dishes they have. I am happy to say I have found my local place in Rock Island! The only thing I recommend is to check when you pay extra for avocado. I payed extra for the avocado and I barely got 3 very small pieces.

This gas station was right by the Clinton Bridge and I take advantage of the cheap gas before for heading over the border. Even late at night, the gas station had a lot of hot food items. Staff here was pretty friendly and the restrooms weren't too bad at all. Overall, I thought this place was worth stopping at!

Other than that, it's a regular gas station with friendly folks. You have to check out the 1/4 pound hamburgers. A cheeseburger runs about $2.02 after tax... half the price of one sold by the red headed clown's restaurant. The meat is of very good quality. Trust me on this - I am a van driver that runs railroad crews around the and I know a lot of great eating places. This is the best burger value I have found yet in the state of Iowa. A cool train U.P. conductor bought me a burger last night. After I dropped him off, I went back for another! If you like jalapenos, have them put some on your cheeseburger. You'll be glad you did...

The inside of the place actually looks a lot like a Southern diner, complete with a rack full of bumper stickers for sale. Within minutes I had ordered a drink from the woman who owns the place, and within minutes after that, I knocked my drink over, spilling everything and breaking the glass right there on the bar. Since I had never been there before, it would have been very easy for her to have kicked me out and not had to deal with my clumsiness. Instead, she got me another drink without me even asked me and assured me that all was going to be well. We spent the next half an hour hob-knobbing with the locals who were very friendly and had a great sense of humor. I get the feeling that I will be back there again, and I can't say enough nice things about their hospitality.
