The food options are not what you would expect. There's a freezer section that wouldn't be out of place in many grocery stores. There are made to order sandwiches, and hot foods, and all the usual beverages you'd expect like bottled water, fountain soda, slushees, etc. The thing that shocked me was the pre-made chicken salad sandwich. No one has high hopes for a gas station sandwich, but this one was fantastic. The bread was delicious. The chicken salad was the perfect balance of ingredients. The whole thing was what you would expect if they had made it fresh. So, if you're running low on gas, try to hold on until you get to Byrne's. You'll be glad you did.

All the others give dirty looks the whole time, they don't say hello or have a nice day. I'm not asking for them to be overly friendly, but to at least smile for once or say hello rather than just grabbing my stuff and not wanting to have a conversation. They clearly want to just get you in and out so they don't have to deal with you. The 7 11 on Oakwood Ave in Elmira Heights consistently lets their coffee sit out too long causing…read moreit to get cool. I have repeatedly spoken to the staff about this and nothing ever changes. On May 6, I again said something about this to the employee working and once again was simply given the runaround, being told that the coffee "was just made", and "coffee keeps for two hours in the carafes"! It's time to start going somewhere else every day for coffee instead of paying over two dollars a cup for luke warm coffee! Do you people even care that you lose customers left and right because you simply don't care about anything?
