The fresh and varied hummus's, falafel, and kabobs appealed to our finicky children and provided a wonderful base for the full flavored wine. The service was great and the staff friendly- they brought art supplies to the kids and, late in the evening, a memory card game to occupy them as they'd become a bit restless. (One highlight was the silly pics I snapped of the kids with a gigantic hookah in the basement near the WC! ;) P.S. Also, a big thank you to Marita, our friend who lives just up the Straße from this memorable restaurant!

We had the Labneh Bil Thoum, Batata Harra, Halloumi Kase, Baba Ghannousch, and Sambusil Bil Lahmeh. Also included was warm flatbread for the dipping. The flavors really popped with each dish and I would say you don't need to order a salad because there is plenty as a garnish (see photos below)! I would say it compares to some of the best we had in Beirut in 2022!

Great food for few money. If I want to grab a well-tasty lunch to take with me, I get a Schawarma -…read moremuch cheaper than a "Döner" and with many more spices. Classically, it's filled with chicken. There are also variations without meat like one with Halloumi cheese or falafel. One other great thing: Every guest gets a small cup of Arabic style cinnamon tea (that can even be bought for a reasonable price to make at home). It doesn't depend on what you order - it's standing on the shelf where you order and shortens the waiting time. Although that's not needed most of the time as you'd rather burn your mouth from finishing the great, hot tea than finishing it before the friendly staff serves it to you. You can get the meals either as a bread to take with you or as a plate dish to sit down. Well, you may also sit down with the bread, but the portion in the bread is only if you are not that hungry. That's because I like them - the Schawarma doesn't make you feel sick after eating them like it happens after a really big Döner. Well what I want to say, if you are really hungry, you better choose a plate dish. They also taste great.

The food is so refreshing, so great for eating on a hot day. I was also amazed by the price of the food, it is so cheap for such large portions. I ate my meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner again the next day in a wrap. I actually got the appetizer platter instead of a meal but I can't imagine eating anything after that it was so filling! They also gave us complimentary tea and baklava, and before the meal some bread with dip, it was absolutely amazing. I would (and will) definitely come here again.
