Definitely worth a visit but maybe no more than one. It was fun for the friendly experience and the…read moremeats are pretty good. It really is an experience and being immersed in a culture and style is fun. Seating is limited so be sure to make reservations. Not a big fan of seating family style (with other families) and it is extremely warm inside. You may be put on the spot so if you are shy or introverted this may not be the experience for you. But otherwise, its definitely worth the fun. FOOD: Good but not great. Not a whole lot of variety. Various meats all cooked just right are available. Few side dishes and all root vegetables. We shared the Rurik's Feast so we would get a variety of meats and it was good. I really liked all three meats and it was worth it for the cost. I do wish there were different root veggies like potatoes. I don't know much Viking history so not sure how authentic, but they did have a nice variety of options. They did have risotto for the vegetarians (sure that wasn't part of the Viking staple!). SERVICE: Loved the music. Loved the atmosphere (except for the heat). Loved how friendly and nice everyone was. Service and plating were A+. COST: It was definitely worth it for the volume of food and the experience. Like I said, probably wouldn't come back, but definitely recommended for anyone who wants a fun and memorable night. Definitely worth doing once.

Found this pub in Old Town Stockholm when we went to watch some weekend football matches (European…read morenot American). The pub itself had a good vibe where everyone was friendly and genuinely enjoying themselves. The decor of the pub was a lot of a lot of pub signs and usual things that you would find in a pub. It has a small but pretty cool layout when you could go down some winding stairs and find yourself in another seating area. Because of the pubs popularity and game time it was very packed in the bar area but the bar tender did a good job of attending to everyone. As for the food I enjoyed the fries we had and the vegan burger was alright. As you know my ratings go off of the expectations of how the place rates against similar places so as old school pubs go this was good, but do understand that typical old school pubs aren't well lit, don't have all balanced tables, and great seating in the entire place to enjoy the game. So if you're looking for those things you might want to check out some other places.

An incredibly fun place in Gamla Stan!…read more Spread over two floors, the main one at street level has the big TVs for watching sports and the Jameson Cellar at the basement level is AMAZING! it's like a maze of sorts with a lot of nooks and little alcoves for quiet conversations. Even though the main area where the band sets up is a tight squeeze, it helped us to make friends with locals fast and had a great time. The FREE music is awesome too. I hated the fact that the bartender measured my gin when I asked for a G&T, but what the heck! this is Scandinavia right? I need to pre-game at the hotel next time before going out.

What a great spot to have a cocktail inside a courtyard during the summer months! We recently had a…read moretrip to Stockholm, Sweden and this little gem was just outside (or inside the courtyard) of our hotel room. Pretty hard to find if your just walking the streets in Gamla Stan but so worth it if you find it. Excellent drinks and while we were there, they had a beer special that was up my alley- so to speak. We also enjoyed some smoked salmon for an appetizer that was awesome as well. Some colorful lights and a large umbrella with some space heaters help to take the chill out of the late summer nights. And the bartenders were spot on with a drink or beer when needed. Just what we needed after some full days of walking through the historic town that is so full of great things to see. It's not often I want to try something a second time, but this space deserves a return trip.

The seats, dim lights, and warm colors of the decor were super cozy. We had six courses which included a burger and different samplings of bacon. We had scrambled eggs with truffle and smoked salmon, which was incredible. Each small dish was very tasty and different. I also got a cocktail which was refreshing and really well made. For dessert there was a strawberry sambuca shake which was out of this world. I would definitely want to come back for dinner, but for a special occasion. The prices were a bit high (although I do think it's worth the price). Will definitely be back for drinks, though.

The area around Mariatorget has for a long time been missing a good place for a glass of wine. The…read moreowners of Dryck apparently also saw that and decided to open this charming wine bar. They offer a good selection of mainly ecological wines by the glass. Three to four sparkling wines, and around 10 each of white and reds offered by the glass as well as a handful of artisanal beers and some other beverages represents a good selection. The wines are in general good quality, perhaps not the most exciting ones but well selected wines of good quality and at a pretty good price level. Most wines by the glass can also be had in smaller taster glasses. They also have a small selection of snacks and simple dishes to nibble on while sipping your wine. The place is nicely designed and in summer the outdoor seating is really pleasant. The service is friendly but my main objection to the place is how they organized things. All orders need to be placed at the bar so no table service. That would be fine if they were reasonably fast but on the past two occasions we have skipped ordering a second glass due to the line being to long and not moving at all. They would really make more money and be a more pleasant place if they had table service.
