Tim at TD Real Estate has been the Property Management Company for my rental property in Cheyenne…read moresince 2004. I live in Southern California and have only been to the property once years ago, so having a local PM company that I can trust is critical. Tim and his entire staff are professional and have NEVER EVER let me down. My rental property is inspected ever 6 months and the pictures are posted in their owners portal of their website. ALL of the financial information is in their portal making it SUPER easy for year end tax report of all the expenses - a HUGE benefit! On the rare occasion that I do have a concern, I just pick up the phone and call the office or ask for Tim directly. I would estimate 75% of the time my concern is address on the first call. When they do have to call me back, I have NEVER waited more than a couple of hours for a return call. My rental property has been rented over the last 20 years, I would guestimate it less than 6 months vacancies during this entire period which is AMAZING! That's roughly 2%: (12 X 20 = 240 = .02%) I have two other rental properties, one in Texas and one in California, both of which I have to fire the PMs multiple time. Shortly after I was able to get the home under contract, I was severely injured. The house had been under contract for less than a week and I immediately called after being released from the ER and informed him that I would not be able to go through with the purchase of the home. I was a single parent suddenly requiring multiple surgeries, was unable to drive and unsure if my ability to walk again would ever fully be restored. I was also waiting for health insurance to kick in so knew I was going to be buried in medical expenses. Since the home had only been under contract for a few days and I had been told there were multiple bids I was hopeful that the seller would be able to take with one of the other bidders. While the seller was a government entity I was still concerned about them being able to still sell the property as quickly as possible. I felt *terrible* that I was not able to see the contract through and wanted to minimize the inconvenience caused to them. Instead I did not hear anything back from Mr. Scott for well over a week. I returned to work on crutches, awaiting surgery, unable to drive and unable to take medication for pain. He called me on my first day back at work and began to threaten me. Told me that I owed him money and that I could not legally back out of the buying contract. As a young single parent he apparently felt that I was too dumb or naive to know that he was lying. I told him repeatedly that I knew that was not correct and that I was at work and needed to return to my desk. After 20 to 30 minutes of these threats and lies I finally told Mr. Scott that he could contact my attorney and he continued to bluff and claim that an attorney would not be able to do anything for me as I now legally owed the purchase price of the home. Since I did have an attorney on retainer I even spoke with them regarding his call and was informed 1) He was absolutely lying and 2) that they had dealings with him before and was not a scrupulous person and that if he continued to harass me to let them know. I contacted the seller to apologize for not being able to buy them home and felt that they should know that I had informed Mr. Scott over half a month before that I would not be able to buy the home. He apparently did not notify them for two to three weeks. The agency the house belonged to attempted to send me back their half of the earnest money I had placed down on the property. They understood that the contract fell through for reasons outside of my control and as such sent me payment. They advised they could only return half of the money as half went to them and half went to Mr. Scott as the listing agent. I had in no way requested such a kind gesture and certainly didn't expect it. The reimbursement ended up not coming to me though and was sent to Mr. Scott, who then told the seller he could not get in touch with me to give me the payment. After a few weeks I contacted the seller again and was told that the funds we about to be sent to the state's unclaimed funds since Mr. Scott had informed them he could not get in touch with me even though my address and phone number had not changed and he had not attempted to reach me since the threatening phone call. Needless to say, I would not recommend purchasing or selling a home through this individual.
