So, we knew about this spot, driving by Anjoo a lot on our way home from shopping in Duluth. Walked in on a Friday afternoon and 5 people were there and all busy at work. Still, they were able to accommodate my father and I. Thuan Pletcher is the manager here and she had a spot open since I had my father go first opening. I got lucky because she knows what she's doing. We had a conversation about how I'd like my hair cut, what would look good, and the way she would get me in and out of the chair asap while making sure I was happy. She's super personable, friendly, and funny too. We discussed my heritage and she was understanding of why I have my parents with me here in GA. Laughed at my jokes, which always is nice, . I walked out of there and I was very pleased with the results. It's always a toss up when you go to a new spot, or even go to a place like great clips because chances are you're not going to be 100% happy with the results if you're not going to your usual stylist. HOWEVER, I was jacked up in the best possible way. Just the way I needed the cut, the sides blended in nicely since it grows out sideways from the side of my head instead of down, with gravity. My bangs and top were cut enough to grow out by the time I head off on vacation and will be great for photos. The cost is on the higher side, but when you're pleased with the results it feels like you're making a sports gamble/bet you know you'll win. My father is loyal and may go back to the old barber, but she's elderly and may not be around long term. So I have a choice, which is never a bad thing- and it's so much closer than Duluth from Cumming. Thank you Thuan for making me look and feel good! Hope to be back, but I wanted to tell people that this shop is there (hard to see since you're flying down Peachtree Industrial Blvd at speed) and you should want to visit Thuan P. I definitely recommend you call to get an appointment...they are SLAMMED! The place itself is really cool. Memorabilia everywhere, tvs, comfy chairs and I can't say enough about the staff. After the sudden retirement of my barber, my quest has been to find a traditional barber. One who…read morethrough apprenticeship or attending barber school has mastered the art of cutting men's hair so that it looks great long after leaving the shop, instead of a hair stylist who cuts your hair so it looks good leaving the shop, but by the end of the day needs continual combing to appear acceptable. Additional bonus points for working in a shop with a TV in the corner and lots of well read magazines next to the chairs in the waiting area. (yes, I'm nostalgic for shops like "Floyds Barber Shop" in Mayberry, although with a modern update) This place comes close. I stopped here yesterday with no appointment. Just walked in. I was very happy to get seated right away. Scott (I think that's his name) got started on my hair and in a very short time had succeeded in reducing my overgrown mop to a short tight well groomed head of hair. So far so good. In fact after I was pleasantly surprised this morning that while I was getting ready for work today I noticed that I didnt even have to comb my hair. It fell into place. No comb needed. Based on that alone I will most likely go back. Did it feel like a traditional barber shop? For the most part yes. Scott felt a little new, but everyone's gotta start sometime, and with Mikael right next to him the traditional ways are passed on. I did miss the constant sound and feel of scissors as most of the cut was done with clippers. That's just picky, I know, but the results were unmistakably great. The one thing I did miss though was smelling like witch-hazel when I left. but then again, I'm old and that's not something most customers would miss. final judgement: Great cut, 2 thumbs way up!

The owner (Mike) greeted me, explained he was committed to two scheduled appointments but assured me one of his colleagues could see me. He offered me coffee and invited me to wait. Before my coffee could cool the personable Duane introduced himself and took a few minutes to chat about what I wanted and quickly got down to business. His skills with clippers and razor were immediately clear and I was trimmed, shaved and neatly tended to with uncommon graciousness and respect. The charges for the services seemed very fair and included "value added" items such as hot towels and lotions. As important was the precision of barbering was, more important was the gentlemanly attitude uniformly displayed by staff and clientele. The artwork and atmosphere is tasteful and indeed educational and inspirational. A comfortable setting for people of all ages and genders.

Was reached out to, to receive a refund. Was there since 9:50 as Alexis said he would be there at 10. Around 10:10 a staff never mentioned he wasn't in yet. Left at 10:15 and called the owner back to tell him to just keep the money. Was then told he's been there the entire time. Walked back in and the same staff member I talked to had an attitude with me. Business is tough and even more so when you have people like that representing you.
