I have been looking for a local barbershop for a while now. Each time I went online, Kutinfed kept coming out on top. So, I checked out their website and liked what I saw: clean shop, contemporary orientation, good reviews, and an appointment-based system. I selected Elan for my cut service. I showed up at the appointed time for my "same day" morning appointment...did you hear me say same day!??! I loved that, particularly since it was a Friday and her calendar was booked!! So, you know I arrived a bit early. The shop was clean, professional, lively, and contemporary. I was greeted when I came in. I took a seat while Elan completed her work. And, while she was working on a gentleman, his hair cut and facial hair grooming did look quite good. Right on time, Elan got to work. I showed her a photo of what I wanted. She asked a few clarifying questions, went to work, and about a half hour later, bam!!! There it was. And, I loved it!! It was ultra short with a bit of fade, and a side part. Flawless!! The only surprise was just how much hair she cut off. I didn't realized how tightly packed my hair was. So now I have found the place to keep my ultra short cut in good order. I liked that Elan had good conversation even as she worked her magic. The price was on time as well. We've tried a handful of barbershops in the Dallas area, but Kutinfed has been the best! Not only can all of the barbers here cut very well, their customer service is wonderful. They work by appointment only, so they are on time....there's no random walk-ins here.They acknowledge everyone who enters the shop, you don't get ignored or side eyed.....you all know what I'm talking about. They also have very easy scheduling on their very nice website! I'm a woman with short natural hair and I'm particular about how I want it cut. I want to look feminine, professional, and chic. I also like the details to be on point and for my barber to just do what I ask for. Empress (Elan) cut my hair wonderfully......she gave me the exact look I asked for. I showed her a picture of a tapered cut with a part and she executed it perfectly within about 20 minutes!! We even talked the entire time and that didn't slow her down one bit. Her skill mix is a rarity in barbershops nowadays, she is very professional, very client focused, and a master barber! How often do you find that??? I'm just sayin! Bryan and Q have cut my 2 little boys hair and they both do wonderful work as well, are punctual, and give excellent customer service! We are very pleased. Came in here for an emergency haircut, had to set up an appointment online day before and from recommends from Yelp I reserved with Chyno. Barbershop was 15 minutes from my house, came in and chyno was waiting for me already. I told him what I wanted and he proceeded with the cut. I'm picky about my haircut because I have a barber that understands my hair and how to fade it up and unfortunately not every barber is the same. Chyno did his best and when I examined it one side of the fade you could see the line in it. I told him about it and he gladly fixed it with no problems. I already have an established relationship with my barber which is not in Yelp because he is out of his home. Would I come back here, yeah as a backup. The reviews were great and the one name that kept popping up was Elan. People raved about her skills and I was really impressed. I made my appointment and she didn't disappoint. First off I was nervous and wasn't sure what hairstyle would best fit my face. I showed Elan a few styles and told her how I eventually wanted my hair to look. Recently, I was working in Dallas and I was looking for a good barber during my stay. I came across Kutinfed Barber Shop on the web. They seemed very professional, so I decided to give them a try. Looking at both barber's portfolios, I couldn't decide who I would choose to cut me up because they both had impressive work. Both owners "D" - DeShone Williams and "Black" - Willie Horn have SKILLS, but I chose DeShone because I saw more of his work. After setting an online appointment (love this feature), I showed up a little earlier than I was scheduled. No worry here about being on time for an appointment and waiting and extra 30 minutes before you get in the chair like some barbers. DeShone put me in the chair a couple of minutes of ahead of schedule. After sitting in the chair, I explained to "D" how I wanted my hair cut. He listened and made sure that he understood exactly what I wanted. "D" took his time and when he showed me the mirror I was like "WOW"! "D" gave me one the best temp fades that I've ever had. The barber shop was very clean, neat, and modern. "D" and "Black" seems to have a great rapport with each other and they kept the conversations appropriate, unlike so many other barber shops. The pricing ranges from $20-$25, which is pretty average for this type of shop. As "D" cut my hair, I was just impressed with "Black"s work. In addition, Kutinfed is not your ordinary around the way hood barber. They can cut on a multicultural level too. In a nutshell, my experience was GREAT! I received many compliments in Dallas about my hair cut. If ever move to Dallas, "Kutinfed" will definitely be the place where I get my hair cut. I was on vacation. I wasn't worrying about no haircut. I work for a national sports network. My boss hit me up and asked me since I was in Dallas could I do a quick project. It required me to be around professional people so I had to get a cut. Driving by, went into Kuntinfed my man Chyno said he could get me in the chair in an hour. I was apprehensive as hell. This place is legit. Clean, professional. Friendly. I've been searching for a convenient barber shop for my boys, African American, since home haircuts no longer cut it. (Pun intended). All the guys were pleasant and made my kids feel comfortable. I loved the experience. The co-owner, Black, had his kids there and they entertained mine while I was in the chair. I have been to other barbershops that were crowded and unprofessional *cough*Razorz*cough* in their interaction between barbers and clients; just not an environment I want my kids exposed to if I can help it. At Kutinfed, 3 of the 4 barbers worked on us. All did terrific. My fidgety kid had JP, who was calm and patient and earned the extra tip. I had D, who was talkative and funny and engaged me. My other son had Bryan who did a quick bald fade, top notch, in under 15min on a 5 year old. Legit. They take credit cards which was a plus since I don't carry cash much and I can leave different tip amounts depending on services and which barber gets my fidgety kid. They are appointment-only which makes planning ahead, by day or by month through their website, great (since I'm trying to schedule 3 cuts at the same time) and also, I can walk right in and my boys and I can get it started since they're terrible at waiting. The cuts are very reasonable ($15 kids/$25 adult, add-ons, extra services available, prices on website) given the professionalism and how nice the space is.
