I've lived in Fredericksburg for over 40 years and this was one of the most unprofessional customer interactions I've ever had with a local business. After I paid, the owner/manager ran out to my car demanding to know why I was getting a wash with a storm coming. I answered honestly: I had used car wax on my headlights and wanted to rinse it off. He immediately escalated, claiming it would "destroy" his machines and could ruin other customers' cars for days. I calmly offered a simple solution--let me wipe the headlights myself before going through. Instead, he launched into a long, angry, rambling lecture. I asked for a refund. He said yes, abruptly walked into the building, and left me standing outside while an employee tried to justify the situation. I eventually went inside and again confirmed I would be refunded. As of tonight, no refund has been issued. After reading other reviews, it's clear this kind of behavior from the owner is not an isolated incident. Multiple customers describe similar rude, confrontational treatment. We left and went to Smitty's Car Wash on 16 near H-E-B--cheaper, newer, better equipment, better vacuums, and genuinely friendly staff. Night-and-day difference. If you expect basic professionalism and respect, I recommend spending your money elsewhere. read more

I've not had a bad experience yet and I've come here a few times. I've always gotten in and out timely. My vehicle was cleaned well and I think complaints mostly are from people expecting a personal detail job which is not relatable here. read more

I see a lot of 1 star reviews. I'm from San Antonio and if you think this car wash is bad, most likely you haven't tried the ones where I'm from. Two older gentlemen washed and scrubbed it from top to bottom before I went into the wash. I got back to my room I got out, looked at it and was very pleased. The car looked brand new. Good job guys! Trust me, stay at home and wash it yourself. For $17, I not only had to re-install the radio antenna I did not want removed but also had to finish drying all the water left on the sides of my vehicle. The rinse gun (notice I didn't say 'rinse jets') must be something they got from the fire department because it not only blasted water around the weatherstripping in my sunroof leaving several drops of water on my center console but also removed a cover to my bed drawer system and did it's best to remove two bumper stickers from my rear window. The vacuums suck and I don't mean that in a good way. They barely suck up crumbs from a rubber floor mat. Bring some window cleaner because there's no spot-free rinse either and your windows will be covered with spots by the time you finish vacuuming out your car. read more

Went last week, May 17, for full service wash.. front bumper, grill and outside mirrors not cleaned when entering automatic wash. Quick brush and off I go inside. Upon,viewing by me, deemed unsatisfactory and requested a 2nd run thru and brushing. Manager gave me a ration of excuses. Claimed I did not pay for "extra bug removal" option, at additional $4.00. Wasn't on menu when pulled into pay. Very argumentative Mgr. Have used this car wash several times over the years. Quality and customer service has reached the bottom of barrel. It was as if I was attempting to "con" the place. Like I really wanted to spend extra time getting a wash. read more

Excellent quick and easy in and out. I first thought this was a do it yourself car wash, but it is an automated service. I generally don't like automated places, fears of the whirly gig spinning brushes of dome smashing alongside the car, makes me a tad nervous. However, the gentleman helping me made sure to make me feel comfortable with using their service. I opted for a number one. 12 Bills. I don't know if that is expensive or not compared to other car washes. It was a pretty quick ride through the line and I was on my way. They do offer free vacuuming once you go through the line and covered areas to wipe down the car and do some interior detailing yourself. They have a full detail shop and a dog wash. Yes, a do it yourself dog wash area. I think it was $10. That's a pretty cool idea and incredibly hip for an area like Fredericksburg. read more

Absentee owners and poor management. Since they sold to the new owners, it has gone down hill quickly. The culture, and attitude of the employees is horrible. The yellow sunshades over the vacuums are turning black and dingy. Everything needs a good cleaning. This was the most expensive car wash of my life! I went to get my Enclave washed today. I have to say that I have never been more disappointed with a manager, I am a bit shaken. I was treated rudely from the start and this is my attempt to get the owner of this car wash's attention. Before my Enclave goes into the car wash bay, a young man brushed my car off with a broom. As he was brushing the tailgate of my Enclave , the broom hooked on to my back wiper, the wiper snapped off of my car and it broke. I watched the arm of the tailgate wiper snap and fall to the ground. When I spoke to the district manager, he told me that it was not their responsibility. It was broken before I had gotten there and there was no way they caused the damage. When I explained to him that there was nothing wrong with my wiper before today and I saw his employee break the part, he repeated it was already broken. He started to point to a part of the arm of the wiper stating this part is missing, it was only holding together by a spring. I tried to explain to him that there is no way that part was like that before I got here. I live down a mile long dirt road, the part was clean. If it had been exposed it would be caked with dust and dirt, like the rest of my truck. It has clearly had a part that covered the spring. The manager became frustrated with me as I refused to accept it was already like that and started to rush me out the door, just repeating it was already broken. I asked for the owner's contact information, which he wouldn't share. At no point did he recognize that I saw his employee's broom break my wiper. At no point did he offer to refund or discount my car wash. At no point did he apologize. At no point did he ask for my contact information. He rushed me off walking away clearly not interested in the damage to my vehicle, keeping my business, This is my attempt to let the community of Fredericksburg DO NOT use this car wash! I am walking away with $100 repair bill - most expensive car wash ever! When I came home from my business trip I took it to my mechanic and he agreed they broke it! read more

I went and spent the $69 on the "Big Kahuna" and it was worth every penny! It is just one step short of a detail and they did it in 35 minutes (I had a very dirty Jeep Cherokee)! I am used to car wash places streaking windows, not cleaning cup holders, etc...I have been in and out of my car for three days and can't find a thing wrong with it. Just got in town on a business trip, needed a car wash, searching yelp this was the only one? 5 minutes to close I pull in. Felt bad but my car was filthy and needed a bath after a dirt road customer visit that left it even dirtier. The gents were on the spot with the pre wash cleaning and happy to give me a thumbs up that I could vacuum after close... very pleased with this! If I'm not, I point it out and they will redo it! Never had a complaint about the customer service. If you aren't happy, don't bad mouth the place, point out what needs to be improved. read more

I purchased the $69 wash and detail. When I was taken to my car after a $5 tip I discovered it had been vaccuumed but not cleaned as per the service I had bought. I brought it to the young man's attention. He apologized, asked for 10 more mins. The next time it looked okay until I left. When I opened my hatch at HEB I discovered it had not even been vaccuumed. Came into town get a truck washed. Had to wait about 8 mins for a manger to help me. They only had two other cars on the lot and had a total of 4 employees. Finally got into the car wash and it broke down! Had to wait 20 mins in line again so I could get an actual car wash and not just a soaping. Manager never apologized or anything. Very unsatisfactory. I do not know who owns the car wash not but I will not be suggesting this place to anyone read more

For such an over priced car wash, I expected more. The wash was average, the rinse didn't remove all the soap and the dryer barely worked. Ended up pulling into a vacuum bay (one side had little suction, other side didn't work) and tried to dry off my entire car. Go somewhere else!!!! read more

This is the second time in a row I've been here and the service was sub par. We've been going here since they opened and it used to be great. I paid for the #3, which is the most expensive, short of a custom detailing. The last two times they didn't empty my trash can. I have Weather Tek mats and they didn't appear to even be touched. There were scuff marks on the inside of all the doors and the back of the seats that I just wiped clean myself after I got home with simple water and a rag. So I'm wondering what I even got for my $34 other than an exterior clean. There were only 2 people working the whole place. One person at the car wash entrance and another guy collecting money and then cleaning the cars. Mine was the only one at the time being cleaned so it's not like he was in a hurry. read more

The guys at Kustom Klean do great work! My truck was extremely dirty both outside and inside. I took it there today to have them detail it and it almost looks brand new (aside from the scratches and dents I've put in it). I would recommend this place to anybody. The only downsides were a more expensive bill than some other places and having to reorganize my truck since they take everything out to ensure a thorough cleaning. But again, it was a great job done and my truck has only been cleaner the day it came from the factory. read more

I got the 160.00 clean on my mothers car so I can sell it. They did an ok job with the clean. I was disappointed that they did not even touch the rear view mirror or mirrors in the visor. They also missed the ashtray and did not wipe down dashboard real well. Disappointed for the money I spent, and I will not bring my car there for a detail like I had planned. read more
