But now I will be coming here to get my female yorkie spayed and microchipped. This prices are extremely generous compared to my actual veterinary. I like that they have walk in appointments throughout the year which is great because you never know if you will be able to make an actual appointment. Especially if you like me who likes to do OT on the job. So being able to walk in during the week and weekend is awesome. Because many vets don't have that option. Give them a try they are very nice at the front and will answer all your questions if you have any!

I'm a newer cockatiel owner. I have done a lot of research and reading about the care of these birds before rescuing a pair. I have also previously had a large breed dog for 14 years, and although we lived elsewhere in NOVA and went to a different vet, that gave me an idea of prices to expect, also considering that birds are an exotic pet, which I expect to be more pricey as it requires specialized care. I found the prices to be extremely reasonable. I was offered basic meds for the issues they were having, like us taking an Aleve, and the general care to be thorough, attentive, and very loving. We spent about 45 min on each bird during our initial visit, and about 30 each on the follow-up. Every member of the staff was beyond lovely and loving. They truly care about pets and educating owners in order to empower us to give our pets the best quality of life possible. Highly recommend using this vet.

When booking the appointment I had called a few times with questions and the girls at the front were SO kind and friendly. Eager to help and really did well to make sure I had anything I needed answered and went above and beyond. In fact when I was driving to my appointment I realized I didn't have my previous vets paperwork for my pet and 15 mins prior to my appointment she was calling them herself to have them sent over without me even having to run home to get the copies or anything. Even though it was totally my fault I forgot. Then in the exam room Dr Drake was sooo good with my cat. It was a thorough exam and while she was doing it the whole time the other vet helping her was giving my cat a treat and it made it so easy on everyone involved. I've never seen my cat so calm at a vet visit before! They offer great insurance programs too for pets to get routine care as necessary.

I scheduled the appointment for first thing in the morning and intentionally didn't walk her so her bladder would be full. Despite this, we were kept waiting past our appointment time as the front desk staff seemed preoccupied chatting. My dog ended up peeing on the floor, and I had to leave her for a few hours to allow her bladder to fill again. While the vet was great with Penny, I felt that the front desk's communication was poor. One person confirmed my dog's health records had been received from her previous doctor, but when I arrived, I was told her immunization records were missing. I was also told she would look into this and follow up with me via phone, but I received no call. I have no idea where that netted out. Overall, I think my dog had a good visit and there is plenty of parking in this shopping center.

We take all of our animals to Potomac Animal Wellness Services (PAWS) but one instance made me a customer for life. One morning I woke up to discover my rambunctious feline had burst an abscess on his hind leg. I was upset and confused because I had not noticed any fluid or raised areas on him during his evening cuddles. I contacted Potomac Animal Wellness Services (PAWS) and they scheduled me to be in their office in less than two hours. The Vet Tech Shylah was reassuring and kind reminding me that sometimes things happen but their team would get my feline back to playful shape in no time! To help him heal, a Convenia Injection antibiotic was administered to make it so I didn't have to wrestle my cat to give meds at home. Potomac Animal Wellness Services (PAWS) also offers emergency animal hospital grade K-Laser sessions to speed the healing process. The cost total for the sick pet exam, Convenia antibiotic injection, Clip/Treat the abscess area, and 6 K-Laser treatments totalled less than $310.00. If you're not willing to use their online store they try to make it more difficult to get your prescriptions filled. And it's not just me. I had a stray cat patrolling my house for months and decided to get it vaccinated and a check-up since it was outdoors for over a year and was staking out my birds going to my bird feeders. Once I heard a squawk of a sleeping bird nesting, I decided to feed the small cat. It would stop by day and night and rotate with the foxes visiting for any possible vittles. As the seasons changed and one arctic breeze passed through, the cat would still sit on the porch waiting for anything. It did not like the shelter I had built for it. It was needing care due to some observations made. There was a winter arctic blast warning that evening. I found this clinic by word of mouth about a program for strays. I finally was able to bring the cat in and am delighted that the staff are vivacious and friendly! I was very impressed by the comfort I was provided while making the unusual appointment ( I had never cared for a stray animal), the waiting area ambiance, the ease of paperwork, the visit with the amazing vet technician and Veterinarian! I held my breath as they courageously opened the carrier bag and they handled the cat with finesse and great care! I loved Dr. B's mannerisms and how she delicately treated this cat that had no human contact for most of it's life. Dr.B and the techs were absolutely amazing and I cherish this experience in all of my years of owning pets. After having stress for over 4 months immediately dissolved into relief for this cat. The cat's demeanor has been more relaxed since the visit. The clinic called to check on the cat and I am grateful for this and the overall care from this staff.
