    Durum
    Aileen K.

Note: they only have chicken as their meat option! After failing to get to Mustafa's in time before they ran out of durum, I came here to get the chicken durum and was a bit sad that their durum wrapper is a bit hard. I kept thinking I was biting into actual bits of paper. But once you get past that, it's pretty good food. The portion size is incredible for such a cheap price and although they are very calculating (literally) when topping the durum with ingredients, when it's all over and wrapped, it's still plenty of food so I can't complain. The chicken was very moist and flavorful-and not too salty like other kebap places I've had here. Best of all: they put potatoes in the durum! It was fantastic and reminded me of California burritos. Ask for extra hot sauce when they put it on so that you can get it on the durum itself! I brought in my beer from a store nearby and they never said anything. It's probably because they don't serve beer, so it ended up being a perfect meal. Plus they have lots of eye candy in the store to look at while eating: sentiments left by other diners. I myself left a little something under my table...I wonder if it will be there if I ever visit again. It's a cutely decorated place and I recommend you get yourself out here! There will probably be no lines and it seems to be a very local spot with people tricking in just to get take out orders.

Kebap! Hands-down, this tops my list of places to check out in Berlin. I stopped here twice during my stay and I'd have been back again if I stayed any longer. Total cheap-eats street food that was so good! I had the chicken donor - chicken, fried veggies with lettuce, tomatoes and onions with a squeeze of lemon, cheese and sauce.

There's not a lot of space to sit and still a line out the door. The chicken doner is pretty good and definitely worth the stop if you're in the neighborhood. I like the seasoning they put on the fries too.

Low cost, healthy, tasty food. Beautiful rustic interior. Hähnchen oder Vegetarische, beiden sind gut!

I like to come here just like I want to eat kebap. Place specializes only in the meat of chicken. Kebap serve with the addition of freshly grilled vegetables and refreshing mint. The meat is very very juicy and what to me terribly important non-greasy. Sandwich is huge, but after eating the whole I don't feel fat. One downside to this is the spicy sauce is not spicy. The restaurant is small and I was full impress that very clear. Kitchen facilities are very well cared. The staff are very friendly and keep an eye on the queue.

This was probably one of the best places I ate at during my 10 days in Berlin. Fresh, healthy, tasty, fast, and cheap. I just needed beer and it would have been perfect. I went at a weird time so was served pretty fast, but It's no secret this place is a gem so it can get busy, but worth the wait.

Probably the best kebab you will get. Lovely interior and friendly staff. We only spent €10 on two drinks and two kebabs.

It's extremely difficult for a doner place to set itself apart from the competition - and somehow this place manages to do so. The owner is the nicest guy in the world. They have anything kebab related, vegetarian food and even Turkish hot dishes. Don't forget to treat yourself to a baklava after eating!

Doner with salad and spicy sauce!

I tried 6+ different spots and ruyam was by far the best. Came here on a Thursday at ~11am (to avoid the lunch rush) and it was jam packed with students and working professionals. Luckily the staff here are super efficient yet patient with customers. It's self-service. You order at the counter and they'll call out your number. Many claimed their seats before ordering, which id recommend as there are only ~15 tables inside. Once I ordered, food was ready in ~5min. And it was huge! A fresh flatbread slathered with a delicious garlic sauce and stuffed with warm juicy chicken kebab sliced fresh off the spit and fresh salad mix. The thought of this kebab sandwhich is making me drool. The toppings were almost falling out because of how much they stuffed in. Probably one of the best bites I had in Berlin! And for €8, it was a steal! When I went it was not crowded and typical. The staff mentioned it's usually a 40-60 min wait with lines out the door.

Located just off a side street near the city centre, it has a simple, no-frills exterior with bold signage of mouthwatering items (from the eponymous doner kebab to extravagant meal deals) and a laid-back street-food vibe that draws you in. Inside, the space is straightforward and casual, with bright lighting and functional seating where people come for great doner at all hours of the day; there's limited seating, though it's next to plenty of other food stall options with more space. After a late and diverted flight, our group of eight girls was starving for any sort of food, and this was one of the only options in the wee hours of the morning. At 2am on a Saturday, the space was half-full with no line, and it was easy to order (they spoke both English and German). Everything on the menu falls between €5-15, from small snack items to large meal deals. There's plenty of options for different dietary needs, with a variety of protein options, and customizable toppings of fresh vegetables, sauces, and toppings. I ordered a Beef Doner Kebab (€8), which was a huge portion of flavorful shaved beef in a pillowy seeded bread, piled high with crunchy cabbage slaw, tangy beet salad, crunchy onions, creamy feta, and slathered in a rich, spicy sauce. This was an incredibly large portion for the price, and I loved how I could choose unlimited toppings for no added price. I will say that they were out of chicken at that hour, though I won't blame them, as it was late. Döner Inn is excellent value for generous portions in a city where fast, hearty meals are a Berlin staple. I would certainly recommend this as an option for anyone; it's energetic, informal, and perfect for a satisfying bite on the go or a hearty meal after exploring the city.

The food itself was affordable in the context of quality and quantity. I ordered a döner kebap with everything topped into it including sauces. Upon biting into their döner kebap, you can sense the freshness of all the vegetables and cooked meat. The food's combined mouthful was sensational given the vegetable's fresh crunch, the bread's fluffy chew, and the meat's succulence. The only critique that I do have is that the döner kebap that I ate did not have as much flavor as I have anticipating. The delicious smell of it did not match the flavor experience unfortunately for me - I hope this was a one off thing.
