Stopped into Kupcakerie in East Point and it was exactly the vibe I needed. I grabbed a cappuccino and a Purple Rain kupcake, and both hit the spot...the kupcake was super soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet, and the cappuccino was smooth and well-balanced. The staff was super friendly and really knowledgeable about all the different kupcakes. They helped me pick out the Purple Rain and gave great descriptions of the flavors without making it feel overwhelming. I ended up getting some work done while I was there, and the window seat became my favorite part of the visit. My first choice was closed, but I remembered attending a Yelp event here and made my way to East Point. They're located across from the East Point Marta station. There are a few parking spaces in the rear of the building. They have a nice amount of flavors to choose from including some that were vegan and gluten free. I ordered a dozen mixed variety cupcakes. The total was around $38. My friends and I really enjoyed the cupcakes. They were moist and not too sweet. This is my favorite place to get cupcakes, I not only go every time I am in the area, but I make up reasons to go. I always have to get street parking, and usually it doesn't take me long. There is seating in the window as well as a few tables in the front. I think the back is an event space people can rent out for things like baby showers, I am not sure if it is available when it isn't rented. I have tried many flavors from here, as well as gotten coffee and tea. I think my favorite cupcake I ever got was a seasonal one a Cherry Coke flavor. Red Velvet is also a delicious, but their strawberry is my default buy when I come in. I love their seasonal options, I wish I got the chance to come in more so I could try all the new ones all the time. I also love grabbing their cake pops when available, I have gotten a few flavors, I am not sure when they decide on flavors, but it seems that they normally keep at least vanilla in as a regular. I'd been the to Grant Park location many times in the past and absolutely loved the Strawberry Blonde cupcakes. Since they closed, I decided to travel almost an hour out to try the East Point location. Even though they were cooked through, the cupcake itself tasted uncooked... like oil and flour and sugar. I tried four different flavors and all cake had the same raw flavor. The frosting was overly soft and tasted too much like powdered sugar to taste much else. And the strawberry blonde cupcakes I would have given my baby toe for? Disgusting. The flavor is no longer anything like they tasted at Grant Park. It was like biting into a tan sponge made of flour and cornstarch. Absolutely not worth it. read more

Happened to be in the area and decided to stop by for a sweet treat. There's free parking nearby so no need to worry about that and it's located right across from the East Point MARTA station on the same side as OZ pizza and H&R Block. It's a super cute shop with an area to sit and enjoy a beverage and a cupcake or three, there's a space in the back where you can host meetings and other events, and I also noticed a cute little area full of books as soon as you walk in the door. The space had a cozy sitting area along with a couple of tables and chairs and definitely gives a come in and chill vibe. A young man welcomed us right in and was super sweet. The flavors are all listed on a menu on the wall but he was more than happy to answer any questions that I had. There is also a display of each cupcake flavor available so you know exactly what you're getting. I ended up with 4 cupcakes to go - 24 carrot gold, red velvet, the main squeeze, and jazzy Jane. My mom endnotes the 24 carrot gold, my aunt enjoyed the red velvet, and I had the main squeeze (basically a key lime cupcake) that wasn't too sweet and there was just enough lime...then I had the jazzy Jane a couple of days later which was a vanilla cupcake with buttercream icing and sprinkles. The cupcakes were delicious but for the price, I think they could've been a little bit bigger. I think they're like $3.75 a piece but I did enjoy them. The cupcakes are sooooo good! I purchased Jazzy Jane and Berry Cheesecake cupcakes, and Majestea lemon ginger green tea. All great, but first of all the berry cheesecake... to die for! This one is the cupcake of the month, but I really hope they decide to keep it around longer. It's a cupcake with berries baked in, a dab of cream cheese in the center, topped with berry icing (that's not too sweet) and berry garnish. The cupcakes are moist and the size is perfect..... Yesterday, after visiting a popular tourist location in Downtown Atlanta, we took the MARTA train to Kupcakerie, which is across the street from the East Point train station.  Kupcakerie is located in a brick building on the corner of Cleveland and Main St in East Point.  Street parking is free for 3 hours on Main St, and there is a free parking lot behind the building. We walked through the front door and I immediately liked the intimate and cozy vibe that this old place gave off.  Tall barstools were at the high counters against the front and side windows in the corner.  Another area had some tables, chairs and a small conversation area with a comfy couch. We were greeted warmly by one of the employees behind the counter.  I ordered my favorite cupcake flavor, Red Velvet, and a hot chai tea latte. R ordered a Lemonade cupcake and a cafe au lait for R. Prices here are very reasonable. Since the front area was mostly occupied, we sat in the large back room where there were two long tables with chairs, and another couch.  From our table, we enjoyed our cupcakes and drinks, thankful that we were sheltered inside while watching a fast moving torrential thunderstorm raging outside. I absolutely loved the Red Velvet cupcake!  The cupcakes here are not the gourmet oversized cupcakes, but, then, they also don't have inflated prices.  The cupcake was soft and moist inside, yet was just firm enough not to crumble apart as I ate it.  The creamy frosting was perfect for me, with just enough sweetness that didn't overpower the Red Velvet flavor.  I highly suggest the delicious Red Velvet cupcake created here.  The hot chai tea latte was very good, and also had the right level of sweetness to it.  R loved his Lemonade cupcake and cafe au lait. It's only Wednesday, but let me tell you...I've been waiting ALL week for this treat! I've visited Kupcakerie once before, but it was for a baby shower. I thought it was super cute then, but sadly didn't buy a cupcake. I only had the baby shower dessert, which, very well, could've been supplied by Kupcakerie...but I'm not exactly sure. Anyway, Kupcakerie is beautifully situated on a downtown East Point corner. While I initially had a hard time finding a parking spot, I found it to be plentiful after making a right on Cleveland Ave. with a large lot saying "Free Parking". I didn't park there, but instead parked across the street in front of the local stores and restaurants. Lots of parking, just have to look for it. I was greeted immediately and gladly ordered 5 cupcakes, a cake pop and an iced vanilla latte! I live maybe 35 minutes away from Kupcakerie, so of course I had to stock up for the rest of the week and maybe share one with the hubs...maybe. I love a good cup cake- they're the perfect size to avoid the guilt! I tried both Vanilla and Strawberry- the Vanilla was lovely, cake was light & moist, the frosting (just enough) and decorated beautifully. However the cup cake was cold, and i'm sure would have been better at room temperature. I was not very excited about the strawberry cake as there was nothing extraordinary about it- it could have been a regular box cake. I had such a wonderful experience here from the moment I stepped in the shop to leaving with my goodies. There was a line when i got there but it moved quickly once they caught up on drink orders. In terms of their cupcakes, I dare say that the GF/V cupcake tasted better than the red velvet! Both cupcakes were moist and flavorful but I enjoyed the strawberry blonde better. You can taste the strawberries in both the cake and icing, though I found the icing a little too sweet for my taste. The red velvet was delicious with the most perfect cream cheese frosting. The latte was also a nice touch, thought was a tad too sweet for my taste. Tried this place out for a Yelp event and it was fantastic! I'm usually pretty picky about my strawberry cupcake but this was divine! It was perfectly moist and the buttercream frosting was delicious! I also got a caramel iced latte with oatmilk and this was also perfection! Let's just say they have the best cupcakes! The magic is in their perfectly whipped icing- not too sugary but hell lot a creamy. I'm not a fan of key lime but their key lime cupcake is heavenly. I have ordered mini cupcakes twice now for parties from Kupcakerie, and the most difficult part of the process is selecting the flavors. The second event we ordered customized minis for a graduation party, and they put tiny little university logos on a very thin disc of fondant on top of the frosting. Not only was it was adorable, but the fondant also was so thin that you really didn't notice it as you ate it--which is great for those of us who aren't really fond of the flavor and texture. The very best part of the order, though, is the TASTE. These cupcakes are addictively good. Even in mini form, they are incredibly moist and flavorful. Kascha was very easy to work with and their prices were unmatched. They delivered the cake pops to our venue on the day of the wedding for a minimal cost at a specific time so we could ensure they hit the dessert table at the right time. Thanks Yelp!! I have driven past Kupcakerie a million times and have never stopped. Service was excellent this day. I was greeted upon entry. I told the lady I was there for the Yelp event. She crossed my name off the list and took my order. I didn't eat the cupcake right away. It actually ended up being my midnight snack. To be honest, I was shocked at how good the cupcake was. I forgot the quirky name but it was a basic vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream icing and sprinkles. All I could say when I bit into it was "WOW".
