I have taken over 24 hours to process my interaction with Dr. Mallick yesterday and I hope that…read morewith my feedback, Dr. Mallick will truly take time to self reflect for future patients and for others to take this into consideration as they search for a doctor. I was really excited to meet with Dr. Mallick. He seemed like exactly what I was needed. I have chronic gut health issues (poor digestion, nausea, bowel issues) and he emphasized finding the root cause. This is just what I was looking for and after being so sick for 3 days, I booked a call with him. Looking back, I see similarities to my interaction on the call and the interaction we had in person. I scheduled the call, watched the linked video which looked good, he seemed to be the type of doctor I needed to truly heal. On the phone call itself, I briefly explained my issues and the call seemed a little bit rushed but I assumed he was busy, he is a doctor. I was handed to his receptionist and scheduled my appointment, he said to think of this first appointment as an interview. My husband, who took off for this appointment and my 1 year old son came with. The appointment begins and he talked a lot about the process, asked me some questions - but not with the intent to get to know me, understand, or to listen but because he was listening for the response he needed to decide whether to take me as a patient. During the appt, he told me he has ended consultations early in the past, once he learns that they are not the right fit for him. He asked many questions, some in repeat because he was making sure I was committed to his process and he made this very known. He seemed understanding of my son being there but when my son needed me for a moment (I was still listening, parents learn how to multitask) and said how "he will wait" before continuing. At the end of the appointment, he talked about the investment which for 4 months (which is what he recommended for me) it was $5600 and included everything such as supplements, future appointments, etc. When we started discussing financials, we felt pressure to sign up for their financing, apply right there, and we will be all set to start. We took time to privately discuss and I decided that I wanted to give Dr. Mallick the benefit of the doubt and asked if I can discuss some concerns with him. I didn't want to write him off without trying - this is about my health after all. I shared my concerns about how the interaction felt very different than I was expecting. I explained that I was seeking a human to human interaction, someone to truly listen to me, to take time to ask about what I was experiencing, and I asked for more transparency for what the treatment plan is which he doesn't usually share in detail as to not overwhelm the patient. He said he has had 3-4% of patients that would drop out of his process. He said "it's called vetting" to describe what his initial consultation is for. Reflecting back, I consider that a small percentage when the percentage of patients who likely walk away after this type of interaction are probably much higher. When I said that I was looking for someone to truly listen, he said "Didn't I listen when I was asking you questions about (XYZ)?". There is a difference between listening for the right response & truly listening to someone. He also said how the appointment can't be like "having a coffee and chatting". Which looking back, I feel that my concerns themselves were not only refuted but again, not truly listened to. We left without signing up for anything and I went home and sobbed and prayed to God for help. I felt like I would never find anyone to help me until, with the help of God's direction, I found Dr. Joel Miller, a functional medicine doctor that loves to serve and listen. Dr. Mallick, I hope you truly reflect on my feedback and the concerns that I see others have shared in the past. I also encourage others to read his responses to previous negative reviews.

Chantelle who works here in labs has an attitude and does not double check what labs you are coming…read morein for before doing your labs. I had to correct her on the labs I was supposed to be getting done (what I scheduled the appointment for) and she gave me a huge attitude because she was incorrect. I had to go back to the nurses to have them double check my labs and have them re-communicate them to the lab techs. I was the first person checked in and scheduled at the office and the lab tech assisted 5 others before me just out of spite. Also she did not verify my name and date of birth when placing my information on my blood sample, I had to ask. And when I did she covered my information on purpose, refused to show me my information blocking it with her hand until I ripped the paper out of her hand to finally see it to confirm (the paper actually ripped she was blocking my information with her hand so tightly) and gave me more or an attitude. Chantelle should not be working in the medical field. I have proceeded in filing a complaint with Texas Health and Human Services regarding Chantelle and her poor care and service she is providing patients.

He's located within the Presbyterian Allen hospital on the first floor. Not looking forward to when he retires and I have to look for another doc. Well, can't worry about that now. Made my appointment on Friday to see him this morning for some blood work. I've never ever had a problem getting an appointment for either that day or the following day. That's really great for a busy practice. I'd highly recommend any of this physicians in this practice. I have seen them all at one time or another over the years. Any of these doctors would be wonderful "gate keepers" if you needed to bridge to additional medical service such as cardiology, orthopedics, etc. Most pleased with the care and answers received. 44/2019

Unwarranted Charges, Rude, Unprofessional!…read more Found Dr Grandjean through a list that my insurance carrier provided as I wanted to set my yearly physical. Called and made an appointment, but the front desk told me it would be several weeks before I could get in. Made the appointment anyway. Came in the day of the appointment and stood in line for 20 minutes before I was able to talk to the front desk. The receptionist was very rude and she seemed like she annoyed by my presence. 40 minutes later I finally saw the doctor. Dr Grandjean was nice at first, and seemed interested in my well being. He asked several questions then proceeded with the physical. He then proceeded to provide me a series of stress and life history tests on a tablet that I have never done before in a physical, and he never once stating that these tests would not be covered under the basic physical. Once completed he asked me to get lab work. They sent me to the wrong lab and was charged an hefty charge and it took over 30 days for the dr office to provide the results. Then I received nearly 500 dollars worth of bills for extra charges by the doctor and being sent to the wrong lab. The doctors office refused to remove the charges. It is obvious that this doctor is in it for the money and to take advantage of their patients. I have never once been charged for a yearly physical, as this is something covered in my health plan, so it is obvious that he purposely added extra tests without my knowledge or approval. I would advise for anyone to go elsewhere.

She has even hung up on me after they have overcharged us and I was trying to get a refund - she did so in such a fashion that you would think she considers herself the queen of England. I am disappointed that Dr. Kelly would hire such a self-important, unfriendly, unhelpful and repelling receptionist. We are forced to change doctors - we are just trying to get treated by a professional doctor, not to be insulted by a receptionist!

In short, the appointment was for our 18-year-old daughter. She has had severe symptoms uncharacteristic for someone her age: insomnia, migraines, fatigue, chronic pain throughout her body and more. A good physician knows how to make a patient feel as though they are being cared for, that their concerns are valid, and that they are being heard. Dr. Lavery took the time to listen to her concerns, look over her medical history, asked a lot of questions and had several ideas on how to troubleshoot the situation. Dr. Lavery was more than willing to work to figure out what is going on with her. Rather than rushing into diagnosis too quickly, he assured her that he had a process in place and once he received all of the data he needed, he would talk to her about a diagnosis. Dr. Lavery up to this point has been vigilant about following up on tests and communicated those results through a portal he offers his clients. Our daughter is empowered to talk to him any time of the day and he responds quickly. Having access to your doctor like this is remarkable! Thus far he has become a strong advocate for our daughter. He has helped her get medicines approved, secure an appointment for tests or meet with a specialist, and access other necessary services. The best doctors are willing to go the extra mile for their patients' well-being, and this certainly describes Dr. Lavery. We are in the early stages of solving this problem, but after years of waiting to find the right physician to crack this case, Dr. Lavery has been worth the wait. Peace be with you.
