This is a really nice park in a good neighborhood. It's not that big but appreciated the big trees and plenty of shade. There is a covered sitting area with a few benches. There's a trail that goes around the park if you want to get in a walk or a run. Met some friendly people here who live in the area. read more

Like other people have mentioned, La Verne needs to install adequate shade to most of their parks, especially now that summers are soooooo HOT! Playgrounds in most parks are run down anyways and are due for an upgrade. It would be great if they added an ample amount of shade to enjoy during the summer months and also get rid of all that sand/dirt on the playgrounds. Please add the rubber tiles to the playgrounds it can prevent so many accidents with kids as things on the floor would be much more visible. With a preschool right across the street it makes sense to update the children's playground as parents love to pick up their kids and go across the street to let them run and play. Again, unfortunately without proper shade on the playground, kids cant play as the playground is burning hot. Hope the city of La Verne puts more efforts into upgrading their playgrounds. read more

This is a very nice park to hang out, exercise, have a picnic or just relax. A lot of shade trees, quiet, have clean restrooms, but the playground is currently closed for renovation. You can also find here the oldest tree in La Verne. read more

I've passed by this park a number of times thinking how beautiful it looked and how my kids would love it. First time here finally and overall it's not that bad but the shading is everywhere except for the playground. For me that is frustrating as the slides and other play equipment become too hot to play on. Also, for the park being in La Verne, I thought it was kind of dirty with old empty cups on the grounds and overflowing trash cans. I was not very impressed by this park. Hopefully they clean it up and provide adequate shading so children can play comfortably. read more

Wonderful little park, even on a gorgeous Sunday. A great time was had by all. However, the trees are no longer available for climbing. They are fenced off but that's totally understandable. Better to preserve them! The playground area is not shaded but there is plenty of shade nearby including park benches and picnic tables. read more

Small, quiet park. Located on a main street, but you wouldnt even notice. Plenty of shade and beautiful historic Craftsman style homes to look at while you are there. Admire the 100 year old Carob tree in the middle. read more

The park is really nice and clean. The play ground is pretty boring and worn out. Thought the playground posted with the red or orange slides was in this park and wasn't. It's another park. Would recommend but it gets over crowded when there's more than 5 kids and the playground isn't that spacious. read more

Nice open space. Decent playground. Picnic area with covered area as well as additional seating. Beautiful 100+ years tree in center of park. However can get very busy with kids who are t monitored by parents or caregivers. A lot of lappers and dog walkers also frequent the 1/4 mile cement walk. Still a nice park. read more

Super cute park close to University of La Verne, medium size with trees and enough shade perfect for hot summer days you can also walk here to downtown La Verne and all the shopping of farmers market. It can get busy during weekend. read more
