I was surprised (but glad) to see a Kung Fu Tea here. Aside from one or two ethnic restaurants, the Pearland Town Center has largely remained stagnant since its construction with generic American brands. Though it's not my favorite boba tea place, having an internationally established chain such as KFT answers Pearland's increasing calls for Asian cuisine/desserts. Also, I never knew that KFT offered lactaid options for lactose intolerant individuals! Way to be considerate. I shared the thai, kung fu, and taro milk tea among friends. They preferred the regular sweetness level, which all tasted overwhelmingly sweet for me. Unless you're a sugar fanatic, I recommend opting for 1/2 sweetness. The thai and kungfu tea tasted decent but lacked an aspect of authenticity; I suspect that I had merely been distracted by how excessively sugary they were. That was certainly the case for the taro milk tea, which contained so little taro flavor that I had mistaken it for a classic milk tea. I'm back in town for several months so I'll likely give this place another shot at my preferred sugar level at some point. This location in particular functions more as a to-go shop. On any given day, the amount of foot traffic will likely exceed the comfortable seating capacity inside (~4 people). However, you can find several larger tables immediately outside and the shop sits adjacent to an open pavilion. read more

Located in the center of all things Pear, Kung Fu has never disappointed. I don't come here often, but the staff has always been super friendly, the service has always been quick, and my order has always come out as expected. What's not to like? The storefront itself is a small waiting area. Definitely not somewhere to post up for work, or in a group. Much more of a grab 'n go vibe. It is literally in the town square so you can't miss it. First time visiting Kung Fu Tea. Not a big fan of how they make most of their drinks in general, especially the milk teas and yogurt-based drinks. The franchise has the nutrition information and ingredient list available online and I was disgusted. They don't use any fresh dairy for most milk teas. I don't care for milk alternatives. The Yakult yogurt used is not authentic in my opinion. Contains too much sugar and artificial ingredients instead of using plain yogurt and adding real sugar. I ended up ordering the honey green tea as it's one of the very FEW drinks on their menu that has the least amount of: ingredients, little to no artificial ingredients, and total calories. I doubt they use 100% real honey. They have seats inside and some outdoor tables. They also sell macarons. read more

Their tea is called Kung Fu tea, and Kung Fu- according to a poster proudly displayed in their store, is ' purest form of self improvement and going beyond ones capabilities'... and they try to achieve that with every cup of tea served. I came in early morning into the Town Center and was looking for a decent cup of coffee to begin my day and found this place. They have 3 sizes for their drinks- medium , large and Hot, yes, hot is s standard size of drink here. They have many fancy varieties of tea including vegan. They also have something called a milk cap which is different flavors of tea made with heavy cream and lactose free milk ! I just wanted a hot coffee so i ordered hot cappuccino. It comes at a standard heat of 160degrees and a set size. It was perfect hot for me but a less sweet, i asked for sugar, they don't carry sugar sachets like usual shops, he jus added sugar to my cup- my recommendation would be to keep sugar sachets out or atleast keep them handy for am sure people drink with all sorts of sweetness in their coffee or tea. I also got myself a raspberry macaroon, they have soooo many displayed everywhere you just can't help getting tempted. It was cold and packed to carry as to go but i ate it right after my coffee and must say - for the cold temperature it was at i did not expect it to be so soft! It just melted in the mouth. While I was there I saw a fresh batch come into the store. Their teas or coffees have toppings to choose from, of course one of them being the bubbles. Other fruit teas (Berry, Orange, Grapefruit) must also be ordered off-menu as Black Tea instead of the meh Green. I like Lemon Oolong too (hides). Every bit as good as the Lemon Black Tea, are the Egg Puffs aka Puffles aka Bubble Waffles. Adorably, they break them into single puffles and put them in a bag, so it's more like french fries or popcorn (who else does that?), but more impressively, they taste more moist, more flavourful, more pillowy, and more under-done (which is how they should be) and yet piping hot instead of lukewarm (which is an absolute must), so I'd say these are probably the very best Egg Puffs I've had anywhere. As good as the street ones in Chinatown Manhattan. Gong Cha Houston makes great ones too. But these are our #1. On our most recent trip to KFT Pearland I was able to talk to the owner for a while and he's super cool. We agree about the other locations, he has his head on straight, a really friendly guy. Now I just have to convince him to tell his new location (on I-10 inside 99 Ranch Spring Branch) to serve Lemon Black Tea as well, even though corporate is moronically, stupidly taking our drink (and KFT's best) off the menu. They still have all the ingredients needed, so it shouldn't be a huge issue. Yes, come here. I searched Thai Coffee on yelp and this place popped up! Unfortunately they DO NOT have Thai coffee. We still ordered, though because there was really no place in the Pearland Area to get that. The guy at the register was so confused when I asked if they had Thai coffee. This place is clearly a Boba tea type establishment, which is fine. They did have a couple of coffee drinks to pick from, though. I got a coffee Slush with red beans with no sugar. It was watered down coffee that took forever to drink because it was mostly ice. The red beans were the best part of the whole trip. Red beans make just about anything better. I asked the guy which macaron was the best and he said the Dark chocolate was his favorite. I tried that one and it was pretty good, way better than the coffee slush I had. I also got a Lychee strawberry one and it tasted like perfume-y soap. Awful, like I washed my mouth out with soap. My Mom and I came across this place while shopping in Pearland. We had been outside so I was looking fo something cool and refreshing and decided to try this place out. I was pleasantly surprised. It was super cute and they had so many options, with it without tea, blended or on ice, dairy or no dairy. My Mom got the honey lemonade tea and I got a blended pineapple drink which was delish. This Kung Fu tea is located in the Pearland Town Center. Just like any other Kung Fu tea I enjoy coming here. The only good thing is it's not as far as the other Kung Fu Teas! The drinks were good and prepared pretty fast. I also want to note that they sell food. I noticed that they sell Banh Mi sandwiches, macaroons and other things. So if you want to grab a bite while enjoying your boba then this place is a good choice. They also have these cute monkey tables which is pretty fascinating to look at. =) The store itself is pretty small, but they got outside seating. Plus, its the town center anyways and it's right outside the pavilion where there's a lot of seating options. read more

We also had the Milk green tea with coffee filled bubbles. Really good.. Macaroons are not normally my go to for a sweets fix but these will change your mind. We tried the lavender & honey, pb & j, and the Nutella. The first two were beautiful in every way but the Nutella wasn't as good as I hoped it would. The customer service is top tier. I used to work in this mall and frequented KF Tea. Its been a year and I decided to stop by for my bubble tea fix. Unfortunate to say within the year everything seemed to have gone downhill. Original Kung Fu Milk Tea:: Little to no tea flavor. I got light sugar and it was flavorless. Was I always just drinking sweetener? I also got egg pudding in my tea. It was also bland. Chai Milk Tea:: Hello chai flavor? Where you at. Let me know if anyone finds it cause I couldn't. The day we arrived they had a BOGO deal going on. The girl who took our order didn't even mention it to us. I noticed afterwards as I was looking around. We also ordered bubble waffle. Forgot about it and left. I understand it was our fault. But the girl that gave us the drinks didn't remind us that the bubble waffle will take awhile and actually handed us the drink and told us bye as if that's our order. We were still in the mall from walking around, remembering that we ordered the bubble waffle I returned and asked about it. The girl told me that it went cold and they threw it away. And that was that. No follow up. So I spoke up and said if they could make a new one because I did pay for the food. She was hesitant and had to ask the other girl who was working. They seemed very hesitant to make another batch. Which...I think all of it was terrible customer service. After a 10 minute wait. I finally got my order... my order of soggy smashed bubble waffle. It's sad, but when you move to the suburbs, you are more happy that local chains have expanded to the outskirts vs, when you used to live in the loop and complain about why national chains start on the outskirts and move inwards. Well in this case, I am quite happy to know that our favorite bobba tea place has opened up a Pearland location. Pearland is not exactly close, but it does beat driving into town. GOSH I SOUND LIKE AN OLD FOGGIE. Anyways, this location is between Macy's and Dillard's on the main street through the outdoor mall. It surrounds the Pavilion. I've been here a couple of times and their boba is a hit or miss. Sometimes the boba is covered in honey or not, chewy or not, etc. When they first opened, they didn't have stamp card. Then they started having it for only large drinks. When they ran out of stamp cards, they won't give stamps for later. Now, they don't have stamp cards because they are switching to a reward program in the process. This is why I give them three stars. I've tried a variety of drinks and they are good. We were sooo excited to hear that a Bubble Tea place was opening up west of 288 in the Pearland Town Center. The location is great, near the pavilion and fountain, so this is a great place to stop in and grab a drink while on your way to one of the concerts, or to do more shopping. I wouldn't say this is a good place to stay for a while and study/work/socialize unless you plan to sit at one of the outside tables, as the place is pretty small and when the line gets long it really cramps what little seating area they have. There are a limited number of parking spots right out front, but plenty within a short walking distance more toward the hotel in the back of the Center. As far as the tea itself, I ordered the coconut milk tea with boba. The flavor was good, maybe a little sweet, but they make it very clear on the menu that you can adjust the sweetness to your liking when you order. My husband and I also ordered two macarons, which looked beautiful but unfortunately didn't have the best flavor. The Pistachio was fine but had an artificial flavor to it (think Jello Pistachio instant pudding mix), but the lavender tasted like straight up lavender dish soap. read more

Bubble tea is now in Pearland!! I no longer have to drive to Sugar Land (not that far lol) or head off of Bellaire. The employees are so nice and energetic! The decor is just right. The menu offers a lot of options and is presented on a screen. My favorite drink is Thai Tea, but they don't have it on their menu. The young guy (I forgot his name, sorry) offered me a milk tea option. I purchased a medium just in case I didn't like it. I ended up loving it.
