They didn't paint areas just left with drywall mud said had to order paint we will be back. the floor had paint and stair glue all over the quality of work was really missed on touchups and other things like doors not closing or out of alignment. the owner John was not a good person at end of job was using profanity towards me when I would ask about Warranty work

This meant a demo of wood, demo of tile, new carpentry, new tile, reinstall of a fixture, additional pipe, and new baseboards. We decided (without any pressure for add-ons) to extend the work to the whole bathroom floor instead of just the localized area. So our results feel like not just a repair, but a remodel. Things that stood out: Communication - We felt the main point of contact, Anthony, was clear and helpful through the whole process. This is true of every crew member we interactacted with as well. Questions were answered patiently, things were explained clearly, we new what to expect next, there were no overpromises. Everyone that came into our home was respectful. Our input was sought at appropriate times, and we were shown progress consistently. Execution - Everyone seemed competent and capable of the tasks at hand. The results look good, feel good, and inspire confidence. If there was a mess made, it was promptly cleaned up. If there was a concern, it was handled appropriately. Initially I was a little skeptical of the proposed timeline but after seeing the work in action it made sense and was accurate. I would advise any others to just be ready to communicate a little, and inspect the results at each stage, since there might be use of different crews for one stage or another. This is a story of a leaky shower. After literally years of hiring various well regarded plumbers…read moreand handymen to try to remedy it, it always leaked again - usually in less than a year. When mold showed through the ceiling of the room below the shower and the mold remediation contractor cut through the ceiling it was clear we needed to consider replacing the shower and much of the subfloor. Serious perusing of reviews on yelp led me to JRW. Just one phone call made me hopeful. First they re- grouted the shower pan/wall connection so it could be used until they had an opening in their schedule a few weeks away to replace the shower. Finally the big day came. Joel (the owner) sent me photos (it was a tenant occupied home) everyday and explained every step of the way what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He respected my decisions. He also picked out materials subject to my approval - and I always said yes because his choices were excellent as well as in budget. I had been concerned of the impact of a big project with workers in and out every day for a week or so on the tenants. I needn't have worried, the day after it was complete the tenant emailed me unsolicited and said that the workers did a great job: excellent workmanship, seemed trustworthy, respectful of the tenants and house, cleaned up everything and though they hope no more issues arise, they said if workers are ever needed there again they would hope it's the crew from JRW. Two small issues arose unrelated to this project (sticky door and gutter issue) and Joel took care of them for a minor charge. Most mom and pop landlords will tell you- the dreaded call from a tenant that something is broken causes you a few minutes of angst trying to figure out who to call to get it fixed. Now that I know about JRW, I won't feel that worry anymore.
