This was a convenient gas stop to fill up with gas and take a restroom break. The station is clean, including the restrooms. The food selection was excellent as well as drinks, cold or hot. On a cross-country road trip our son left his nice, new coat with a pocket full of Pokémon cards in the restroom. He realized he didn't have it 2 hours after we had left and was so sad. When we called and talked to Jordan, we were so happy to hear someone had just turned it in and that they had it up front! Jordan went above and beyond by offering to hold the coat for us in the back room until we drove back through Altoona a week later. The kindness and warmth extended to us was so wonderful! I come here because it's close to one of the places where I occasionally sleep and the staff is good people. Today though I was forced to stop because a taradactyl took a dump on my trucks driver's side window. How does a flying dinosaur, poop on a vertical window of a moving vehicle? Projectile pooping? We should weaponize these fuckers. My window looks like a crime scene. K&G's window cleaner that they keep in the buckets by the gas pumps smells like Wintergreen Lifesavers. I dig that. Plus it powers through dinosaur poop like a lonely single fat woman polishes off a pint of cookie dough Häagen-Dazs on a Saturday night while waiting for someone, anyone, to swipe right on her Tinder profile. My preferred brand of cigarettes, they always have. My preferred flavor of Monster, they always have. Casey's and QT still have ya beat when it comes to fresh food but I appreciate the effort. But if you really wanna know why I'm liking K&G more and more these days here it is. Hats off to whichever K&G corporate genius got rid of those ugly ass ties that they used to make their employees wear. I guarantee you whenever you got rid of that ancient policy, employee morale skyrocketed. I regularly visit this location. Every. Other. Day. They have the cigarettes my husband smokes and Xyience energy drinks. I started going here for the price of the Xyience. It's a better deal than Casey's across the street and I can't even Quik Star is another review (they don't carry Xyience). Most of the time, the place is amazing, friendly, clean and fast. I buy a lot of Xyience there at one time. They offer me flats to carry them out in. Food.....I'd kill for a Kum & Go B&G, I never thought a gas station could have good biscuits and gravy! By comparison, and you kind of have to compare because it's RIGHT ACROSS the street AND it's been the nearest gas station for YEARS, Casey's B&G is real good, but Kum & Go is bomb. Sausage egg and cheese croissants are delicious too. I've had egg rolls and of course I'm a glutton for Cheeseburgers and theirs hit the spot when I'm heading off for errands or whatever. You can tell when the boss has his day off though. Seriously. That place gets gross when he isn't there. No place is perfect, but K&G is pretty dang close. Staff is super helpful! Our battery died while we were getting gas & my husband had to go in to get help. One of the employees offered to help jump our car. It didn't work but instead of leaving us to figure it out, he walked back inside and asked another employee for help and she brought her car right over and we got it running! I liked the convenience of this place. Then the cashier decided to cop an attitude when the register rang up different than the price on the shelf. "Now all these people in line are going to wait while I go change this." He made me feel like a total asshole because I refused to get ripped off. My bad, man.
