First physicians Group has several doctors working in the practice providing general medical care…read moreand consultations. It's located next to Sarasota memorial hospital. There is a parking garage and also valet parking if you prefer. My appointment with Dr. Shah almost always runs on time. I rate Dr. shah as an excellent doctor. He doesn't rush me and takes the time to do a thorough consultation. The only reason I am not giving five stars is because of how difficult it is to get through to this office on the phones. It can sometimes take over an hour of waiting. They do offer a call back service but if you miss that then you have to start all over again. Given how busy they are and how many doctors they have, they should really employ more people for the phones. It's often quicker to drive there and speak to the front desk than it is to call in.

Three years ago, I had a frightening confrontation with a physician. I later looked up his…read morebackground and learned he had previously worked as a pharmacist. He was rude and intimidating, and he told me, "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out." So I left. I also once found a doctor I liked, but he immediately ordered a heart scan that came with a large copay. I didn't believe it was necessary, given my excellent health and athletic lifestyle. When I returned, I was told he had retired; no one had informed me. I've also had other disappointing experiences. I often feel that patients aren't given enough attention and that the practice operates like a corporate production line. I've had problems with the front-desk staff, too, and I'm not alone in feeling dissatisfied. Unfortunately, the practice is tied to Sarasota Memorial, which no longer accepts my UnitedHealthcare plan. I've had difficulties with both organizations and find them overly corporate. I personally prefer Doctors Hospital. That's my choice, informed in part by my own medical background and training. I have a degree in health science, nursing administration. spent two year clinical in nursing homes. I have a background in mind body medicine, and I was a adult aging social worker, so I do have a background and normally I'm extraordinarily happy with any medical facility except this one, but of course that's just my opinion and my experience. If I could drop this by, reliable MD is one of the best organizations I have ever been to, but that's just a side

Myrdalis Diaz - Ramirez, MD - This is what I can do because of pain management

Dr. Diaz-Ramirez and her staff have given me my life back. From the first initial appointment to…read morethe monthly checkups - the service, concern and quality of care I have received has been consistent and top notch. Prior to being taken on as a patient, I was suffering from debilitating pain which would land me in the ER twice, sometimes three times a week. It kept me from being able to perform simple, menial household chores - checking the mail, washing dishes, even sweeping and vacuuming were extremely taxing on my person. It was an exercise in futility trying to find a comfortable position to sit or lay down just to relax and good, quality, restorative sleep was nearly impossible and generally only achievable once I was utterly exhausted, and if I was lucky enough to catch a break from the pain I was experiencing. From the first visit, my quality of life made a complete 180 degree turn. I was finally able to get to sleep at night, I could mow my lawn, sweep the kitchen, vacuum the hallway, walk my dogs, make a satisfying meal and do a multitude of things most people don't even think twice about. I had finally gotten a sense of normalcy and purpose back in my life - things you can NOT put a price on! Dr. Diaz-Ramirez and her staff will listen to your questions and concerns and do their best to resolve any issues. Contacting her office and making the first appointment was one of the best things I've done for myself. I have no regrets and highly recommend her to anyone looking for the best care possible.

Had approval for a test since 7/11/2020. no test yet. Head aches over 15 months because she screwed up a Spinal cord stim removal. Also Never got the Spinal cord Stim that was removed and paid for by my insurance...(wouldnt be surprised if it was inplanted in someone else) Take hours to get to the Call center and then no call backs. I am now filing a medical malpractice claim against her BEWARE!! She deserves NO stars. that should be an option
