Went to customer service today (10-15-2025) to return something I bought on 9-16-2025. It was unopened and didn't expire until sometime next April 2026 and I had the sales receipt. The lady in the customer service desk was very unfriendly and never said hello or asked how to help, just stared at me with a disgusted look. With a smile on my face, I took the item out of the bag and gave her the receipt and said that I just wanted to return something within the 30 day window. She rolled her eyes at me and said she can't take it because it's past 30 days. I said that no, it will be 30 days tomorrow but that it's 29 days today. She said again, no it's 30 days now. I asked her if she knows how to count because it's 29. She screamed at me saying no, it's over 30 days. I asked again for her to explain how she keeps saying it's over 30 days when the receipt and calendar clearly says 29 days and she yelled at me again but this time saying she isn't returning it. I was very angry and just left. I regret not demanding to speak to a manager and I'm debating on going back before they close today. This store is by my house, so it's nice stopping in to get something quick, but I may need to suck it up and drive 20mins out of my way for now on as I don't see me ever going back there. read more

Worst experience ever. We do all of our grocery shopping here, and never have had an experience like today. We finally got power back yesterday after the terrible storms. So, today we headed to Kuhn's to do our replacement shopping. We needed pretty much everything. We spent a good hour and thirty minutes shopping. We headed to the registered, there were two cashier's open. Lane 2 was free, and as soon as he saw us coming, he sighs loudly, throws his elbows on the counter and puts his head in his hands. He starts saying "Oh my F'ing Go* Man" (with the actual swear/inappropriate words). He rolled his eyes and flailed his arms around as if he were tasked with the worst possible chore for no compensation while being reprimanded by his mother who was about to go get her belt.. He proceeded to sigh, smack his lips, and make noises while complaining under his breath our entire transaction. He was throwing/flinging our groceries around as if they didn't matter. He made no eye contact and gave no greeting. My husband offered to bag for him, and did. He didn't say a word in response to my husband. He allowed the belt to sit, so I was unable to continuously load groceries as he scanned. He made it appear that sliding chips across the scanner was the most difficult thing someone could possibly do. He saw a bagger, though my husband was bagging, and he would occasionally throw something gap-hazards into a bag, he then told him, "You're going to have to help me man.". It took a whopping 15 minutes for our order to be scanned and bagged, $327.58. He didn't tell me my total, he didn't say a word. He complained it's been a hour since he got to look at his phone, he said that to himself. As the receipt printed he placed his hand over the printer to force it to crumple up, then crumpled it more, held it out toward me, kind of, then immediately walked away, pulling up his pants and complaining... Never said a word to me as I said, "thank you, have a nice day.". I called the store while loading my vehicle with groceries. The manager, Mark didn't seem to care so much. He asked me who, as if he didn't know? Obviously you have two cashier's only one is male, only one just walked off the cash register.. seriously? I did noting but spend money here, I asked for no discount (though I missed the 15% off due to my power not being back). I was polite, I smiled, I spent my hard earned money here. No assistance, my money from my debit card. I asked them for nothing, we even bagged our own stuff (most of it). We got nothing large or heavy other than a case of water we lifted for them to scan. We were calm and didn't deserve to be treated this way. I won't be back to Kuhn's until that cashier is gone. The prices are higher than competition. I go there for location, because it's small, they pay their people well and we have a good experience every time. I can't say we have always had a good experience now. I'm disgusted with this treatment. I don't know what I wanted from the manager, maybe not him being condescending, "what cashier was it?", isn't not obvious? That was condescending. Whoever owns this place needs to take a look at their staffing and make adjustments or they are going to end up losing all their customers. read more

Had to swing in for a quick in and out for a couple items. This is not where I regularly grocery shop, but it was conveniently on the way home from my son's school. Over the years I've been here a number of times. It's a smaller grocery store, a family run chain, but well stocked with most everything one might need. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've never had an issue with product quality or any employees. I'm not a member of their rewards program. This visit I was in and out within 10 minutes with what I went in for, no worries. Good spot to shop, if you're inclined to avoid the big bird in the area. read more

I don't typically shop at Kuhn's much but saw a few good sales and decided to stop in. We picked up a few produce items on sale. We also did some browsing around the store and largely were disappointed with the selection. We did find some pretzels we like though. We went to check out and the blackberries were ringing up $3.99 and not $0.99 as the sign stated. The cashier asked if we had a rewards card, which we did not. She did not offer a store card use for one time (as many stores do). She did not offer any information or ask if we wanted to sign up for one. She rather rudely just said that's the price. First it makes no sense to me why some of the sales are with a card only and others aren't. Second the cashier should have made some sort of effort. I have only been in this store maybe three times and every time the cashiers have been rude and/or short. I don't think I will be back. read more

Love this neighborhood grocery store. For being a smaller store they have a lot of variety and things I can't get at Giant Eagle. Also, they are super helpful when trying to find something and the few times I have looked for something they didn't have, a few months later it was on the shelf! read more

Clean, fresh and remodeled. I like what they have done to the market. It's easy to move around and a really great new look. I stop in for the flyer special. I don't do my weekly shopping here, but it's close enough to run in for a few things, and the red box is outside. I would recommend this market! read more

I was sexually harassed there as an employee. I would not recommend this store. Even after going to management, I was ignored. I have come across other women, all from different Kuhns grocery stores, who were sexually harassed. They went to management and nothing was done. Kuhn's is a small family-owned chain of grocery stores that started in 1967. They have 9 total stores and employ over 800 people in the Pittsburgh area. I have been to quite a few of them over the years, but most often to their location in the north hills. I discovered this location about 5yrs ago or so, but only just recently have been shopping here. I was undecided on how many stars to give cause like what's really exciting about family-owned grocery stores lol. However, Kuhn's is a great alternative if you're used to or tired of shopping at Giant Eagle. I feel like Kuhn's is similar to Shop N Save in some ways. This store is in a small strip mall that has a PNC branch, vision center, hair salon, bar and a dry cleaners. I love that to the right of the store entrance you can find a couple old school RC Cola type pop machines for only .35! You'd be hard pressed finding many machines for so cheap anymore these days. The bakery department is not the best. I have previously purchased items from their bakery that has not been very fresh in particular a New Years Pretzel which was stale but had a sell by date of January 1. I called and spoke to the store manager and all he said was I'll let the bakery manager know. I told him I just bought this yesterday which was. New Years Eve. These were $6.99 each and I was expecting the manager to advise me to bring the product back in for a exchange or refund. Neither one occurred. read more

I had the worst customer experience at kuhns today. I needed lunchmeat at the deli, I waited 10 minutes. Only one person was waiting on people at first until another one came to help. My number was picked. when I spoke up the guy held up a finger and waited on another gentleman who was before me. I waited, my number was up on the board. He skipped my number and went to the next! After I waited all that time! That was terrible! I went to the office to complain and the manager did nothing to help me. Very bad customer service! That manager should have wanted to go the extra mile to help me and did nothing! She should have went back to the deli and got my order for me! You need all new management down there and you need to teach employees to respect and have empathy towards their customers! I will never shop there again.
