They let us carry our deposit into this year. I have been involved in youth hockey for 18 years. This is THE BEST banquet facility I have ever seen in our area. Our group was 65 people. The room we were in could have easily accommodated far more. The layout was perfect. Most importantly.... the food was excellent. It was served buffet style. I have come to expect mediocre fare over the years from other venues but Spruce Lodge put out a spread that had the players and parents raving. The chicken parm was delicious and moist! The Caesar salad was fresh and crisp. They had marinated vegetables on skewers that I couldn't stop eating. The steak was superb. I did not have the penne ala vodka but reports from one of our senior players, leading defenseman and known food snob (my kid) said "this is the best I have ever had. Anywhere". The staff was very nice. Special shout out to the bartender- the facility has a nice bar set up in a perfect location adjacent to the banquet area. I forgot to get her name but she was dealing with a bunch of thirsty hockey parents and high school aged boys loading up on. Shirley Temples and Coke. Friendly and fast. Again, I cannot praise the food enough. If you are looking for a banquet venue, small wedding venue, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Capt Over

I'm really not a fan of the mini-Hotel rooms in plain sight upon entry and the parking was atrocious,if it raining bring a 4x4 for parking and levitate to the front over small ponds. Wedding venue in Middletown, New York…read more.. My friend's son had his Wedding Rehearsal and dinner here on a Thursday evening, then had his wedding ceremony and reception here on Pi Day 2025. It was amazing that this venue could accommodate all three events... plus, provide a cocktail party in-between the wedding and reception while the main room was being transformed into a dining area with a dance floor in the middle! At the end of the night, a coffee and cookies station appeared at the exit so guests could grab some snacks for the drive home! That was a nice touch! The staff were very professional and helpful! One of the glass vases tipped over - spilled water and shattered glass were efficiently cleaned up! Thanks so much for a memorable time!

From the…read moreday I chose the location until the day after my wedding, the staff were so responsive and extremely helpful. Tommy and team helped me with every detail of my wedding - from giving me their feedback on the vendors I chose, to giving me tips of what to do/not to do. The experience we had was simply incredible. The food, the service, the kindness, the guidance - you would be making a huge mistake if you don't choose this venue. The staff just blended in with us and felt like they were a part of our family! Their food - I can rave about this for days. My family is very picky, and we have gone to many weddings, and I will say to this day, all we hear is how incredible the food was. They go above and beyond to make sure you are happy, and with a smile on their faces. Why would you ever spend money on a wedding planner? Tommy and team took care of every single detail - from making sure that my pictures, pamphlets, signs were up in the right locations, to bustling my dress the night of. The Maitre D was incredible. My family lives 45 minutes from the venue, but my husband and I now live in Florida. A lot of my planning was done from afar. What this team did to make sure every single detail was taken care of was just incredible. They made everything so easy, and so pleasant. I made the best decision of my life marrying my husband- choosing Falkirk was the next best decision I made for my wedding. If you are reading this, stop and don't go any further. I promise you, you won't regret it. In fact, it will be the best decision you make. Give them a call! Mona and Carsten

The Ardmore Mansion is a former summer camp that has been renovated and is now a wedding venue…read more There is a small ballroom and several guest rooms in the mansion, a 'barn' (former gym?) that can be used for larger events and summer-cabins for overnight guests. The interior is gorgeous with ornate fireplaces, beautiful moldings and polished wooden floors. The ballroom is somewhat small, but has a wrap-around porch that guests can wander onto. The venue photographs beautifully. The outdoor spaces are not landscaped: it's pretty much grass fields and paved paths. There are structures (outdoor stages, etc) from the former summer-camp scattered around the property. Cocktail hour food is sub-par; consisting of mostly fried selections. I have not attended an event that included 'stations' which suggests that they are cost prohibitive as an add-on to catering packages. There is only one small bar during cocktail hour, so a line forms almost immediately. Dinner entrees are similarly uninspired, consisting of meat, potato and a frozen vegetable blend. The vegetarian entree choice seems to be pasta ..or pasta. The wait staff is friendly and efficient and the event hosts are charming, but the deficiencies in food and drink need to be addressed. The rooms in the mansion are small, with comfortable beds and private bathrooms. However, the rooms are not air conditioned, which can be uncomfortable. There is no staff on the premises after the event ends, even if rooms/cabins are booked with overnight guests. For Summer 2012, room prices were approximately $150/night. Cabin accommodations are fairly rustic, but significantly cheaper than rooms in the mansion. I have not attended an event in the 'barn' but it seems like a unique venue. Overall, Ardmore is a reasonably priced, beautiful venue for hosting an event, which this area desperately needed. However, food and beverage service and accommodations need improvement.

I didn't get much of a look outside either time, because of bad weather. The parking lot is well laid out though. There are two long tows of spots on either side of the main entrance. Then there are more spaces further away. My first visit was remembered by a frenzy to get drink refills, because they ran out of glasses. So we were served cocktails in rocks glasses. But, the service was given with a smile and there was nothing else notably bad. My second visit started out very good. They even had enough glasses during cocktail hour. But then the groom asked me about what I ordered looking very worried. The manager never took note that a few dishes had to be gluten free. They made up for that with a big tray of gluten free brownies by dessert. Plus, the dinners were served gluten free. One thing I really hope they improve is the table service. My server served the dish and then circled the table looking for empty plates to remove. She even stood over us asking if we were finished while others were still eating at the table. We began asking each other to watch our plates. If you looked away your plate was taken! Then when I needed a lemon wedge for my fish my requests for attention were ignored. The best feature of the venue is their staircase. Its the first one you notice when you enter through the main entrance. The big beautiful window at the top makes it look vast.
