I'm a longtime supporter of KUSC here in the Los Angeles area, and listen to it as I do most of my work in the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley areas. However, when duty takes me to the north, I tune in to KDB. The only word that comes to mind is...serene. For a while, I had thought that KDB was gone in the winds of station-format change. How grateful I am they are still here, and that I can hear them online now as well.

The station is directly next to a Good Will donation store and center. The people of Santa Barbara are wonderful and every time I go to Goodwill to donate, the parking lot is full of other people already donating goods. This time, as the lot was full, I turned on my emergency flashers and parked in the only open space next to a Kjee truck. I'll be honest the spot did have a restricted no parking sign, but all I needed to do was drop off shoes then leave. As I stepped out of my car, Kjee employees run up to my car, speak to me with profanity, and demand I move my vehicle. They were not kind, they did not explain why I could not run to drop off my donations, and they were not willing to listen to a word I said. Of course I moved my car, but how rude of anyone to speak to another in such manner? After donating my items to Good Will, I walked into the office to demand an apology or an explanation for the obscene language as I was truly embarrassed. The office employees just ignored me. Needless to say, I will never listen to Kjee radio station again and hope other people choose not to too. I wish all good luck trying to bypass the Kjee bridge tolls to donate items to Good Will. Finally, I do not recommend anyone to step near near this office or even attempt to communicate with these inhume people. Imagine working for them. What kind of training would that be?

I will never listen to the station ever again. The music sucks now; not only is it very generic sounding, but it is crappy Christian rock. I'll especially miss the acoustic sunrise on the weekends. Turns out KRUZ broadcasts out of Santa Barbara, in the 805, but I *am* able to pick up the signal in the Conejo Valley and most areas of the San Fernando Valley. The music format of this radio station reminds me a lot of Radio Alice, up in the Bay Area, and I for one am very happy to have found a similar radio station down here in SoCal!
