They serve the community with a wide variety of music in public affairs broadcasting and I can highly recommend it. Whenever I'm in range of the transmitter, I keep my station 91.9 MHz. I'm a longtime supporter of KUSC here in the Los Angeles area, and listen to it as I do most of my work in the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley areas. However, when duty takes me to the north, I tune in to KDB. The only word that comes to mind is...serene. For a while, I had thought that KDB was gone in the winds of station-format change. How grateful I am they are still here, and that I can hear them online now as well.

The station is directly next to a Good Will donation store and center. The people of Santa Barbara are wonderful and every time I go to Goodwill to donate, the parking lot is full of other people already donating goods. This time, as the lot was full, I turned on my emergency flashers and parked in the only open space next to a Kjee truck. I'll be honest the spot did have a restricted no parking sign, but all I needed to do was drop off shoes then leave. As I stepped out of my car, Kjee employees run up to my car, speak to me with profanity, and demand I move my vehicle. They were not kind, they did not explain why I could not run to drop off my donations, and they were not willing to listen to a word I said. Of course I moved my car, but how rude of anyone to speak to another in such manner? After donating my items to Good Will, I walked into the office to demand an apology or an explanation for the obscene language as I was truly embarrassed. The office employees just ignored me. Needless to say, I will never listen to Kjee radio station again and hope other people choose not to too. I wish all good luck trying to bypass the Kjee bridge tolls to donate items to Good Will. Finally, I do not recommend anyone to step near near this office or even attempt to communicate with these inhume people. Imagine working for them. What kind of training would that be?

Its like they only have a few cd's at their radio station to play. The same songs and artists especially, Tom Petty, Billy Joel, ELO, Billy Idol, Steve miller etc. Would not be bad if they played different songs from these artists, but its always the same artists and songs. I think they need new management that would play a better variety of songs. Maybe a rule not to play the same songs and artists in a 24 hour period would be a better action plan. I really liked Julie and was sorry to lose her but the addition of Lynn in her place, well she is just hilarious. She has lightening wit, puts up with Davids' sH(t and is a total hit with us. The only reason I give this station 4 stars is because I wish A). David wouldn't interrupt her so much, and B). Their play list would bring on more NEW MUSIC. It seems however, that they have been trying that lately, at least in the morning. We really appreciate NEW MUSIC along with the old classics. I mean, yes, we love Jackson Browne and they play his old stuff. Jackson Browne has newer music that is fantastic. Why not play new stuff that they older artists are still creating, not just the same stuff over and over and over...?

I don't like the guy who comes on after Sean, so I quit listening at 3pm. I also don't care for Jim Siryyawni and try to tune him out whenever possible. Now, the main reason for my review. People who listen to KTMS 990 (Conservatives, like me) don't like Bill Marr and would never buy a ticket to see his show. Therefore, your ads for him are not only a waste of money, but very annoying to your Conservative listeners as well. (I can't imagine Liberals or people who like Marr listening to KTMS 990.)
