Not gonna lie This…read morewas one of quickest and most pleasant home service calls I've ever had. My AC went down on Saturday. I called Pride Mechanical on Sunday and left a message on their non emergency voicemail. They called me first thing Monday morning, and we set up an appointment for a timeframe that worked with my fairly busy schedule for that day. Really convenient. Got a text saying they were on their way about 5 minutes after the 3 hour appointment window started. They were at my home in like 20 minutes after receiving the text. The inside of my house was kind of messy, but they didn't even need to come inside. They were able to go straight to my units and start their diagnostics less than 3 minutes after arriving at my home. Within about 15 minutes they had successfully figured out and fixed the problem. I could not have asked for a better experience. I was very grateful and impressed. The technicians were polite, friendly (and not aggressively friendly if you know what I mean), and did a great job discussing my HVAC system and answering my questions without getting overly technical or insulting my intelligence by being overly basic. As AC repair experiences go, this was the best I've ever had. The speed of service and professionalism was first class all the way.

They initially came in after another HVAC company completely unwired my heat pump and stated they could not repair. So I requested a new service contractor and it was assigned to Mike from KT&S. He was amazing. He fixed the issue and remained professional the entire time. He took the time to educate us as homeowners what the issue was and how we addressed it. A couple of years later we had another issue and again, used my warranty company, who assigned a contractor who never called me, after repeated contact attempts. I resubmitted a request for KT&S and they quickly contacted me and was out to see me the same day. Again, Mike was great and issue resolved. Well, we had another issue recently where it was a warm day in Chesapeake, VA where we used our AC and had a problem. Again, we submitted a claim through our warranty company and they assigned the work to the same company who failed to respond to my previous claim. I had indicated in my claim submission I preferred KT&S since they were familiar with my home and I was familiar with their service. When I resubmitted my claim due to lack of contact by the assigned contractor, the warranty company reviewed my submission and assigned it to KT&S. Within two hours, I was contacted by KT&S and they were out that afternoon. Mike was the assigned tech and was able to fix the issue within 15 minutes. With a warm weekend expected, I am once again thankful for Mike and the KT&S team. I appreciate how Mike treats my family during his visits and would recommend the KT&S team for all of your HVAC needs.

This was the second HVAC installation at our home in less than three weeks…read more So dissatisfied were we with the first company, that we had the system pulled back out and we went almost a week without a system. Air Specialty Heating and Air, installed another system, yesterday. From the get go things were done in a more professional manner. Rather than jumping to and only offering the most expensive solution($16,000) --which clearly wasn't working-- our Sales Solution and Information Advisor T. Mulè addressed our issues and offered us three possible solutions. Upon further discussion and suggestions, we scaled back and went with the tried and true, 2-stage RUUD solution, an upgrade from our original system(Goodman). With the first new system(the one we had removed), a variable stage 3t York system, our upstairs became almost uninhabitable, with the temperature never coming down to the set point (73), and humidity above 50%. The system struggled to reach 73 degrees! (Our old downstairs system holds easily at 72 degrees and 36% humidity, and old upstairs was matching those numbers until it finally died...) Adding that the York ran continuously and while whisper quiet outside, ran like a jet engine overhead inside the home where, I really didn't want to hear it! It never stopped, it rarely hit 73 degrees and the humidity was always higher than comfort level. The first day of install, it took 8-hours to cool from 88 degrees inside down to 78 degrees, with humidity in the mid-50s to mid-60s! This new RUUD almost immediately hit the set point of 73 and the humidity dropped to 43%! (Less than 4-hours) And the installation process itself was far more professionally done. Upon going into the attic after the three installers left, I was amazed to find just how neatly the job had been completed.. The previous installers left a real mess behind. Loose screws on the floor holes in the sheathing, the overflow wasn't even over the pan. The three installers (Matt's team) with "Air Specialty," left the attic in beautiful condition. All of the mess was cleaned up. Everything was tied and in place. Access to the system is easy to reach. Moreover, they even left the manual in a hanging folder within reach of the system. Honestly, there was a night and day difference in the install process and the system solution match for the home. I would, without reservation, recommend Air Specialty Heating and Air for any HVAC needs!

Seeing as the furnace/air-conditioning system was over 30 years old, we opted for a complete replacement.  Greg was very professional, knowledgeable and explained how the system would work.  He was wonderful to work with and answered all our questions and concerns.  He scheduled the work and kept us informed throughout the process as to when parts would be available (pandemic caused some delay with backordered parts) and which technician would be doing the work. He even got our old AC system to work until the new one could be installed.   Christian, the installation expert, arrived bright and early on the day of the install.  He got right to work and did a fantastic job removing the old system and installing the new one.  He worked the entire day and put in the extra care to make everything look neat and secure and was properly working.  He is a true professional and so pleasant to work with, putting up with our questions as he was working.  He also left our home neat and clean when he was done.  Greg came by the following day to follow up and to install a different thermostat we had requested/   He again checked and made sure everything was working properly and that we knew how to work the system.  We are 100% satisfied with everything that was done.  Greg and Christian made it clear that if we had any problems, questions or concerns, just call and they would take care of it.  Very reassuring to receive such personal service from a company.  We also signed up for a yearly service contract and will always call them for any of our future needs.

The technician was on time, great personality, professional and cleaned up after the job. Each routine maintenance service call prevented a bigger problem from developing. I am grateful that they are so skilled at repair and maintenance . I have grown to trust their expertise. I have great confidence in their work and in the company in general. So recently I had a really bad blocked drain in the kitchen. I did what I could to unclog it but I was unsuccessful. I realized that Chris Mechanical also has plumbing services available. I called on a Sunday and the plumber was able to fit me into the schedule a day later. Since it was just the kitchen and not the entire plumbing line it was ok to wait. If you need emergency services the plumber would probably be able to get there ASAP. Anyway, if you are looking for a great team of people that are honest, fair, have a great work ethic and are trustworthy then give Chris Mechanical a call !!! Thanks so much.
