Let me start off by saying Kyle agreed to Dj my daughters wedding 1 week before the wedding and on a holiday weekend. We didn't think we needed a Dj at all until we realized that we did! Kyle was great from the beginning all the way to the end. We are so thankful we found him and that he was willing to take the job so last minute. We used Kyle for our November wedding. He was referred to us by the special events coordinator at our venue (Lawry's). Kyle was very helpful and professional right from the start. He met us at a Starbucks that was convenient for us. He gave us lots of information and gave us a questionnaire to fill out which helped him to get to know us better, and to give names of the members of the wedding party, etc. My husband and I spent many late nights making up our playlist, with many very specific songs. Kyle was accommodating as far as our special requests and what songs to play when. We used uplighting and purchased what is called a "gobo", which is a lit sign that projects onto the ceiling. The whole effect was very nice. While we weren't present during the seating or the cocktail hour to hear what music was played, we did note a couple of things during the reception. Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond started playing at one point...my husband and I looked at each other because neither of us had put this on our playlist. We weren't sure if maybe he played this to get a feel for the crowd (if it might get them on the dance floor) or what. During much of the reception, the volume of the music was fairly low. I heard from one guest that they liked this, because they were able to easily talk with the other people at their table. For us, the low volume meant we were unable to hear what songs were being played while we greeted our guests. There were a couple of important songs that we didn't hear at all, and we aren't sure if it is because they weren't played or because we just didn't hear them. The only big negative was there was audio feedback at the beginning of our ceremony, but it was fixed right away. I will also note that Kyle was our most expensive vendor, aside from the venue itself, due to the uplighting and the gobo. Overall, we were happy with the services he provided. read more

We met Kyle (KSDJ) at a local bridal show. It's funny that they call these bridal shows, with so many guys there. I'm glad I went and had a chance to see the different types of djs that are out there. Some seem like real douchey attention whores that like to hear themselves on the mic (like YOUR wedding is THEIR night). ...Then there's Kyle. As a salesman myself, I've gotta admit, Kyle has a great pitch. He hands out flyers asking you to take time out of your schedule, so he can take you for a coffee at Starbucks and discuss your needs. Even if you end up walking away, at least you got a cup of coffee. You walk in thinking the DJ plays the music and emcees the night's events, and then Kyle educates you...or well, he educated me anyway. He told me how important it is for a good dj to communicate with wedding coordinator, photographers and so on so that everyone was in place, aware and ready for things like the father-daughter dance, the cake cutting and more...he's doing far more than just playing your music...he's helping to choreograph your perfect night. He told us of how he'd be there to help put out any fires that may occur and referred to a previous wedding where there was a power outage and he literally went to Home Depot to get generators for power. A quick peek at a previous Yelp review and the story is confirmed by the bride. Fortunately for us, there were no disasters, but he was still there offering my bride and I the even the simplest of services, making sure we were good on drinks, were happy with the schedule, etc. Me, I only had one real request...I wanted to hear some Snoop Dogg. Holy Freakin Tilito! If I could give Kyle 10 stars I would! Kyle was awesome throughout the entire process. From the second my fiance (at the time) and I met Kyle we knew we were going to hire him. He was the only DJ we met but we both felt so at ease after talking to him. I knew he was going to be a great DJ but he exceeded our expectations. We hired Kyle for our wedding on Saturday 11/1/14 and we could not be more happy. He isn't just a wedding DJ, he is almost like a master of ceremonies for the reception. We had a corporate event tonight (Holiday Party) and we utilized the services of KSDJ. I myself had to show up an hour or so early to set up for the event and it was refreshing to find the DJ already there - setting up well ahead of time. Our DJ was Barrett - a very clean cut professional who was well mannered throughout the evening and very good at his job. The night went without a hitch. Barrett kept the music tasteful for each segment of the night. He was very low-key throughout the evening - which was the perfect temperament for such an event. Barrett did an excellent job of keeping everyone happy - a tough challenge with our crowd. The quality of the equipment (speakers and lights) was very good as well. The music had a great high quality sound and the lighting was super cool and caught many of our employees off guard (as this was the 1st year we've had that sort of thing). Everyone loved it!! I was asked to handle the music for the evening and KSDJ made me look great to my staff and superiors.
