Why doesn't Yelp have NEGATIVE stars? This place is AWFUL! I have LOVED Krystal burgers all my life with one exception, they changed pickle brands while I lived out of town, so I no longer like their pickles, but such is life. I still love the little burgers. WHY won't Krystal hire people who can accomplish this simple goal? They NEVER have change. They NEVER have unsweet Tea. This is LITERALLY the easiest thing to make! They NEVER have the proper supplies. Their Receipts don't PRINT. Their drive-thru register is broken down. They OVER CHARGE YOU. Your change back doesn't equal what it should! Then when you ask for a receipt you can read, they start making more excuses. Then they say stuff like, "Don't start smashing up stuff in here". I'm in my vehicle at the drive through. I hardly ever eat at Krystal anymore because my wife looks at me like I'm killing myself for eating this crap... so I rarely do, but I admit it's sort of a guilt pleasure. Yesterday I went there but didn't tell anyone. It's like something I do in private that I don't want anyone to know. I love me some cheese Krystal's and a couple chili cheese pups. The food was regular Krystal fare... the place itself was a absolutely CRAZY! There were two or three people in the back literally yelling at each other at the top of their lungs (incoherently , I couldn't understand even a word) .... Even Waffle House is closed to inside diners. A Krystalsworker was outside and said they were closed except for drive through. The store manager invited us inside! What? Really? Is this a joke? After moving away, I actually missed Krystals. So I was happy to see this new one on my visit back. The food was delicious and hot, just as I remembered. The only downside was feeling rushed at the drive thru order speaker. I was deciding what I wanted as I see there are many more options than before. I was asked every few seconds if I was ready. I wanted to try Krystal since it is a restaurant unique to this part of the country. I went to this location despite other negative reviews. I see what the negative reviews are talking about now. First, the cleanliness of the restaurant was not up to par. There were flies, sticky substances on the ground, and jelly smeared on the tables. Second, the all you can eat Krystals took a long time to get refilled. Third, the refill of Krystals was ruined because the bread was soggy and gooey. Definitely not worth it. When I went back to see the manager to get my refund for a food that I was charged for that I never got she basically called me a liar and said that that was not true that I did get the food that I ordered. Meanwhile she's going off on employees and she's going off on customers. She told one customer if he didn't want to wait that he could get his ass out of line and go home. That they were busy. I ate here about a year ago, and it was the most terrible experience I've ever had anywhere from the disgusting food, hair in the food and the rude attitude of the worker's that were actually doing something other than standing around talking and on their phones. Waited in line at the speaker, and the lady actually answered the speaker promptly but was sounding rushed. Waited in line behind another car for about 20 mins. Pulled up, she took my money and gave me my receipt. The window was left open, and all we could hear was the rap music playing loudly, and she didn't come back to the window for 15 minutes. Looked over, and a portable air conditioner was running on the table, and no one could eat indoors. You could tell she was rushing around, and it seemed she was the only person working. She was answering the speaker, running the window, and cooking the food. You could actually hear her back there rushing dicing the onions putting everything together and she finally brought our order to the window about 15 minutes later and she was actually very nice and told us to have a nice night. I told her thank you and to have a good night also. She was very nice but you could see she was exhausted. I felt bad for her because she was working so hard and apparently all alone. This is ridiculous. There needs to be more training, better scheduling of employees, and more help at this location, especially this one being in such a busy area. Normally, I would go to the Sycamore View location because it never fails. They are always on point, they're kind, and the food is always perfect. I have to say the burgers were undercooked, and some of the pickles look questionable in color. My daughter's tea had hair all over the cup, so it immediately was thrown out. So we ended up throwing our $22 meal out. I would definitely suggest the manager doing an overhaul on this location from top to bottom, and it seems like this has needed to be done since they opened. I honestly will never be back. This is the worst location in Memphis. The only reason I even gave it 1 star was because of how kind the worker was while under such pressure.
