Since it has been so long, I was weary to jump right into just anything ever since generic store-chain experiences (lovely staff with mediocre effort). Out of the blue, a Thai massage sounded fun and the concept of being walked on is neat, albeit not stepping on my fine... Immediately after walking through Linda's office door, it felt like I was back in my grandmother's space with music and overall hippy vibe (moreso with Linda than my grandmother, but you get my point). A Thai massage is different than a traditional massage, so the experience was defiantly new. At times, even uncomfortable, but that is because of my own insecurities which I quickly overcame. The concept of stretching and massage is something I've wanted to try for a long time and I thoroughly enjoyed telling Linda to "hurt me" when the knots wanted to see what's going on. Aside from having hands and feet dig into my thighs, hips, and back, my favorite move is one where Linda sits with your legs between the backside of her legs and compresses down - it feels like the bad juju is being forced out of your muscles and can feel the coolness of released tension swell over like ocean waves (bonus points if you ask for that track during a session too). I highly recommend Linda/ Sound Flow Healing for a Thai massage! She takes plastic cards and cash and has special offers for newbies and possibly regulars (which I have to build my status up to). She is super friendly and easily worked around my busy schedule. Sound bowl therapy uses the calming vibrations of sound bowls to improve anxiety & tension, boost mood, work on our chakras, increase spiritual well-being and restore harmony to both the mind and body. Natalia was our sound bowl therapist and was calm, spiritual and enlightening. I can't wait to go back and do this again. Natalia also is a Reiki master. I've done Reiki before and loved that experience as well. It was interesting to hear Natalia's thoughts of what she felt was going on with each of us at the end of the session. Two of us had the energy of our loved ones with us during the session, and I was lucky enough that Natalia felt the energy of my dad. I was able to tune out everything around me and delve into the experience, but my friends said they heard people talking within the other parts of the studio, such as massages and other therapies in other rooms. One gal said she felt like getting up and going outside to tell the people to not make so much noise. Again, I was very into what Natalia was doing and focused that I heard nothing and wasn't bothered by any outside noise. Maybe it would be simply scheduling things at different times for complete silence, I don't know. It wasn't an issue for me. If you haven't taken part in a sound bowl meditation, it's a very relaxing and spiritual experience. I highly recommend Natalia for sound bowl meditation. I can't wait to go back for another sound bowl or Reiki experience.

I talked to Kelly when I made the appointment and thought she was very nice and was looking forward to meeting her. We got there 15 minutes early and the door to her suite was locked with no note or anything say she was in session or would be back shortly so we waited awhile and then I called her and left a message telling her that we were there and waiting. We waited another 15 minutes and I called her again but never heard back so we finally left and never got a call. That night after I took my sister home I called Kelly again and said that I hoped that she was okay and that I was upset about her not being there and I have never heard back from her.

The Geneva location is small, so it's mainly for individual visits. This location in Elburn is much larger with one main room that is for group sessions, including yoga, Pilates, and more.
