You learn how to be just in the moment. The sound of the horse's hooves on the earth is a memory that keeps coming back to me over and over again. Hilary responded promptly to my email request and was happy to oblige this week. She took care to explain the brushing and saddling process, took her around the ring teaching as she went, and then had her take care of her horse after the ride. I appreciated her attention and care with my daughter- she was really great. It was a lovely farm - we even saw a Doe and her two fawns, as well as a turkey while riding. BONUS: she offers a quick, yet effective mini-lesson in the arena prior to hitting the trails, which is a great way to encourage confidence to apprehensive riders. after the lesson, we proceed outside, where other horses seem to be wishing us well on our journey. how i love seeing them running up, and whinnying! the trails are breathtaking, and variable....one minute you are on a wooded path where you might see a deer, and few moments later, on a huge open field-where suddenly FREEEEEDOMMMM! seems to "possess" you-i always feel like i want to just run wild and free, full speed through the vast openness, which of course i don't, because i can only walk and trot-and for safety/insurance reasons, walk and trot is pretty much what is allowed. the price for a 2 hr. ride is absolutely reasonable, and unique to our area. i highly recommend ANYONE with an interest or curiosity about horseback riding, to def. check out BLAZING TRAIL RIDES. There was no phone number listed on the website or in the emails, so we had no way to contact anyone to figure out what was going on. After waiting and searching for a way to reach someone, we finally had to leave with a very disappointed child. Four hours later, we received an email claiming they had previously emailed us (we never received anything) and that there had been an emergency with the trainer. While emergencies happen, the response didn't feel sincere, and the complete lack of communication in the moment was frustrating. This was supposed to be a highlight of our trip, but instead, it was a huge letdown. Given the positive reviews, we expected much better. If you're considering booking here, be warned--there seems to be a serious lack of reliability and customer service. We won't be trying again.

They are both very friendly people and Laura cares greatly about the horses. Our trail guide was Molly, a young woman who boards her horse at the farm and does competitions. Molly was extremely friendly and carried my camera the entire ride so she could take photos of my boyfriend and I. The horses are extremely well-trained and great for my boyfriend who was riding a horse for the first time. The pricing is very reasonable at $40 per person per hour. Even though we were 15 minutes behind schedule, we weren't rushed at all and Molly even went over the hour limit. It was a very gorgeous ride through the property of the farm - woods & field.
