Previously they could just not keep hold of stylists - everytime I went they had different ones meaning it was impossible to build any kind of relationship with a given stylist. This seems to have improved a little of late. My last visit to the Salon was approx 4 weeks ago. The stylist did an all but fantastic job - pretty much loved the cut. My BIG problem - and it's been one for quite some time is the truly horrendous attitude and total lack of customer service given by the receptionist/trainee. She all but grunts at you and this last time I had the hairwash from hell. It was agony - raking her fingers through my hair really hard, water that was plain cold, the level of the neckrest (ouch!). She never once asked if I was comfortable, was the water temperature okay etc. The 'head massage' part of the shampoo was torture. I asked her to change water temp, said my head was sore from the 'brutal' technique but all to no avail - she didn't take a blind notice to anything. On getting into the cutting chair again my head was subjected to a going over with the towel and brush that was really painful. To add insult to injury she didn't ask if I wanted anything to drink. Honestly - her attitude was appalling and the salon should be ashamed if they have failed to notice the continuing poor performance and utter lack of interest in the role. They really need to work on making the salon 'come together' - something is missing...... Would I recommend - hmm in all honesty I just don't think so - which is such a shame as it could be great given its location, captive market etc.

Haircuts were reasonable for the price. The hairdressers are self-employed, yet the owner feels the…read moreneed to constantly interfere in conversations between them and clients. No prices are displayed on the wall or in a leaflet for customer reference (instead they are handwritten in smudged pencil in the back of the appointment book held by staff). No till, they are cash only and no receipt provided. The day I was in I was told the wrong prices and even after establishing the correct prices after the work had been carried out I was still overcharged. Won't be back.
