I wanted to wait a few weeks (a month? I can't even remember now when I got my hair cut!) after getting my hair cut before reviewing. You know how these things go, you get it cut and it looks fab for about a week and then it starts to grow out and looks awful. Or maybe that just happens to me? Well it does, and it does a LOT. Most hair dressers don't seem to know or understand how curly hair grows and as such they cut my hair as though it's straight. This often results in a mullet-esque look after a few weeks. It's not pretty.
BUT I am pleased to announce, that after my chance appointment with Blair (I was originally booked in with someone else who was running late so they offered my Blair who had a cancellation), several weeks later my hair still looks great. I might even venture to say that it looks better than it did when it was first cut! For a girl who can't afford to get a cut that often, this is a blessing.
Right from the start I liked Blair - he wooed me with the fabulous line of "I'm quite looking forward to this!" after I explained my hair woes. He is not bitchy, he's smart, and most importantly for me, he GOT my hair.
So I will happily trek out to Frederick St in the future for some fabulous Blair/Dickson Reid scissor magic. read more
