Trigg: From the Shetland dictionary. - To make neat and tidy.
Swerving away from the plush Stockbridge salons and looking for somewhere small and dependable, I found Trigg. From the quirky name alone, I knew this would be my kind of cut.
Jacqui was my stylist and she was lovely; warm and chatty and sincere. I have a tendency to be curious and talkative and I could really indulge in this, as it felt very natural talking away to Jacqui. Equally so, if you're not as social and just want a darn good haircut, you won't be disappointed.
Trigg is bursting with personality, and yet doesn't feel too stylised. There's art on the walls - all for sale - and the interior is kitsch, uplifting and bright. From the moment I stepped in, I knew that this was a unique salon.
The price is average for the area, perhaps a few pounds lower than the larger salons down the road. Trigg use all Tigi products which smell like a complete dream. I was so impressed with the condition of my hair after the cut. I didn't go for anything bold, just a cut and blow dry, but I was so impressed. Jacqui got just the perfect length that I'd specified; just enough to have my hair looking back in full health but keeping the length. And the fringe, oh my! - I love the shorter full fringe look. And Jacqui crafted the most perfect bangs for me! Seriously, ruler straight; she's a whizz with the scissors. And with free fringe trims, my fringe can always look en pointe.
I'd say I've definitely found my regular salon and I'll be back soon. Next time, I think I'm going to delve into some colour, as the Tigi colours available are striking. read more
