Certain items are worth the splurge- e.g., the homemade potato salad in the deli section... Soooo good!! They also carry a number of homemade soups. They also carry things my mom loves (e.g., turkey wings). For everyday items, you'll do better price-wise shopping at your local Kroger or other such stores. Again, this doesn't replace the pleasure of walking into a hometown shopping store. I also love that they hire people with disabilities - love love to experience this! Still, based on the pricing, I need to rate this store at 4 stars, as much as I love and recommend them for excellent quality and for carrying certain items that are difficult to find elsewhere (my mom loves Kasia's sauerkraut dumplings)! Check them out because it's a feel-good small grocery store, locally owned!!

Neither of the melons were ripe. They were both too hard to chew and flavorless. Where the quality control? The prices are higher here than in traditional grocery stores and as such, you would expect the quality to match the price. It doesn't come close. I would suggest the produce manager and store director try the products they offer for sale. If you can't provide flavorful, ripe products, don't offer it at all.

For the most part everything I needed I could find no problem. When I got to the register the line wasn't super terrible and the cashier helped me use my gift cards and all the payment methods I had. What I was disappointed by was the lack of employees around the store. There were a bunch of small ladders and carts that needed to be stocked and no one to move them. I saw a lady using a scooter run into one trying to navigate one of the sections. This should never be an issue. Who's watching over this? I also felt the cashier and bagging lady were kind of rude when I tried to say something and add to the conversation and they just looked at me like I offended them for talking and then continued about THEIR conversation like I didn't exist.

I know my way around many ALDI stores and that you can find baked goods close to the entry/1st Aisle. Plus, there are many other baked delights to catch your attention! Service at ALDI is pretty much whomever you catch on the floor but they are always very fast at checkout! The ambiance is clean and very organized and basic. You do need a quarter to access a grocery cart... unless you're lucky enough to be the beneficiary of someone handing off a discarded cart. It's just a quarter but builds so much good will in paying it forward... Definitely a thing that is growing and I love being part of it!

Today, an employee who was stocking cupcakes near the front entrance stopped me with a very rude attitude and told me I could not bring my scooter in. When I tried to explain myself, she sarcastically remarked "that's what the bike rack is for" as if I were a child who needed to be put in my place. I have never in my life been spoken to that way by a stranger, let alone a store employee. I was not riding my scooter through the store. I use it to get around and always push it while I shop. I have never been told this was a problem at any other location. I also looked into it and there is no Kroger policy that prohibits customers from bringing a scooter inside.. so she had no business making up her own rules and enforcing them on customers in such a condescending way. And if this woman was a manager, that is even more disappointing. Someone in a leadership role should know better than to speak to customers that way. It sets a terrible example and reflects poorly on the entire store. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location. Kroger should train their employees and especially their managers. to treat customers with basic respect before confronting them over something that isn't even against store policy.

While I don't want to break the bank at uber expensive grocery stores, I turn my nose a bit at the everyday grocery stores in my area. I never know if the produce is fresh, old, or tainted (sprayed chemicals). Fresh Thyme, though 15 minutes from my home, seems to have a decently stocked produce section and a variety of organic produce as well. I find the pricing to be hit or miss, but I can pretty much get all of what I need for a weeks worth of cooking here without having to go anywhere else. I wouldn't come here for everyday things such as TP or dish detergent, but for veggies and organic goods this is it.

The chicken shawarma is excellent, nicely seared but still juicy. Salads have been very good, with strongly (but not too strongly) lemony dressings, Falafels are crisp on the outside, a little soggier than I'd like on the inside--not that that stopped me from scarfing them down! Hummus is about as good as you'll find. Good as the food is, the service can be a bit slow. The market side is small, doesn't have a huge selection, but still a solid representation of mediterranean cooking basics (and seriously...just how many brands of tahini do you need???). And it's clean! A very economical olive bar and well-stocked meat case are musts for a visit here. In the latter, you'll find a little bit of beef, a little bit of chicken, a little bit of goat, but a whole lotta lamb, everything from tongues to trotters, at far below supermarket prices. While I like to sample a variety of places, Muna is taking away my incentive to explore other middle eastern restaurants in Toledo. It's a pleasant rut to be stuck in.
