Ordered balloons for a birthday party, picked up day before. Deflated next day. Was told I had to bring them in so they could reinflate them. Manager was rude and so was the woman working at the floral station. I insisted they give me new Ones bc I didn't have Time to bring them back, they did give me new ones but not until clearly being annoyed about it. Very bad customer service. The woman behind the floral counter seemed upset about making me new balloons, although she also seemed annoyed when I was placing my order days before as well. I've also never heard of reinflating latex balloons. The manager gave me a spiel about how in her 24 years at Kroger she's never seen balloons deflate in one day and it MUST be the environment at my house......... Also when I asked for new weights on the balloons (which I paid for on the previous order) the floral worker told me she didn't know where they were.... I have searched high and low for this item, and it's always out at every store near my home. I searched and called other locations, as did the friendly manager in the back of my local store that handles the orders and deliveries. He called or searched inventory of every store within 20 miles and no one has any. He informed me that not many people purchase this item so they only stock it in small quantities, and don't keep supply of it in the back. I asked (begged!) him to please order in abundance for me and I would buy it, a whole case in fact! So he did, and they called me last week, as I kindly requested them to please go out of their way and do... but life and work made me forget about it. So they called me again today to remind me that they still had it at the desk for me and could I please come get it!! So I will be going tonight after work to get my items! I read other reviews of this place and just had to leave a good review for the staff here. They are understaffed and it's hard to keep employees during this time, but some of the customers are so rude it's disgusting. I was in shock at a woman checking out in front of me... I helped the cashier bag all her groceries because she was so nasty... She was completely disrespectful, demanding, mean, and not one word of thank you or you too when the cashier said have a nice night. They are doing their best with what they have! I love this Kroger it always pulls through. This is my family's grocery shopping store. I always buy my flowers here and all my candy. My mom loves this Kroger because she is really into her breads. She likes how this Kroger has the thick Texas bread so it is easy for her to make French toast. She always taught me to hold bread like it is a baby and place it in the front seat. My mom has a funny character but I feel like I'll be just like her when I grow up. Recently I got my wisdom teeth out and so I had to stoke up on apple sauce and jello. This isn't my regular Kroger's and I'm certainly glad for that. I stop in about once a week to quickly check the clearance sections. But even once a weeks seems too often. This store is so disorganized and messy. The shelves are constantly empty and a complete disaster. The deli coolers just that products throw in and not even properly shelved. Not to mention this store has about half of the inventory (if that) of the other 3 Krogers within the immediate vicinity. You'd think as a smaller store they'd be able to keep it neat and orderly, but not the case at all. While I have scored some great marked down deals from time to time, I'm certainly glad this isn't my closest store. I've never had an issue with the checkout employees, in fact the lady today was just the sweetest to me. My issue- every single time without fail is the nasty and rude customer service woman. Every time I come in here constantly overcharged. Some thing is advertised for one price but rings up differently. So I'm always at the customer service desk getting my refund. The manager who runs the customer service desk is without fail the most unpleasant woman I've met in a long time. It's as if I'm bothering her for her to do her job. She has the worst demeanor and attitude. It happened to me again today. I bought an item that was advertised for $.99 but it rang up regular price at $1.99. She was very rude and clearly felt inconvenienced that she had to go and check the sign, as if I was lying to her. Sure enough, I was over charged and she had to refund my money. This person could almost ruin your day if you let her. Anyways, I'm glad I only pop in once a week. I suggest driving the 3 miles down the road to the other Kroger's, for a better grocery shopping experience. read more

This review is explicitly for the Click It curb side grocery pick up. My mother broke her foot so we decided to do this for her. My sis put in the order at 11 am and it said it will be ready between 3 and 4. I show up at 3:30, pulled into a spot and called the # on the sign. They asked me what space I was in 1-4 and I couldn't tell because the # closest to me looked as if it was for the space to the right of me. Hint the # you need to tell them is at the left of the parking space, not directly in front of it. After waiting 10 minutes i called my sister so she could double check the ready time. After waiting 15 minutes someone came out and tried to give me someone else's order! After finding my order they apologized for the wait saying they lost one of my bags and had to reshop for the items. I got nervous so I went thru the whole order to make sure everything was there- guess what , 3 items were missing! After another 10 minutes they fetched 2 of my 3 missing items, saying the 3rd item was sold out. Then I had to wait another 5 minutes to get the items taken off my bill. We will never be using this service again. read more

I'm not entirely sure who reads Yelp reviews of chain grocery stores, but for those extremely thorough people, here you go. When I say my family "frequents" this store, we really do. We have done our weekly shopping here for the past three years, given it's just few minutes from home. Unsurprisingly, it's usually pretty packed on weekends, so we try not to go at peak hours, more in the evening. Be aware, if you go 10 pm or later, they are usually restocking the store, and you'll have to be more nimble with your cart to dodge the boxes and workers. Recently, they've renovated the store (for the better, in my opinion), and offer several more self-checkout kiosks, which I love to use because it's really good when buying a few small things. One small annoyance is the older self-checkouts can't read the barcode on my Kroger card on my phone, so you have to call an employee over to do it for you. In the past year, we've transitioned to their ClickList grocery pickup service. At $5 per trip, we really like the convenience of putting together our entire shopping list and paying on the app. This isn't a review for the Kroger app, but I am very picky about user experience, and the Kroger app is stellar. It remembers preferences and is smart about quickly putting together a shopping list based on past purchases. As for the service itself, except for a few instances when I arrived at peak hours, you'll never wait more than a few minutes for your groceries. The workers are extremely nice and communicative about substitutions (they'll never charge you even if a substitution was more expensive). Sometimes, they'll even give you a little candy as a thank you! (Unfortunately, they aren't allowed to accept tips and one evening this employee loaded my groceries in -10 ºF weather, and she really deserved it). Initially, we worried about produce quality using this service. However, we've had more issues with quantity, not quality. For example, we usually order three broccoli crowns for meal-prepping lunches. A few times, the crowns were so small they barely cover three meals, and I had to go back to the store the next day for more. You can enter notes while compiling your order but remember, the workers themselves are restricted by in-store availability (just as you would be). Therefore, I would be cautious about using this service if you are picky about produce or absolutely need an item. There are a few things you can't order on the app (e.g. Kroger hummus), which is a little annoying, but it's easy to pop in the store and self checkout. On a different note, though not exactly Kroger's fault, cell service (at least for Verizon) is very weak in the store, and this can be an inconvenience when trying to call the wife to confirm an item, or just check an online list. There is in-store WiFi, but it's spotty as well, and doesn't always work for me. I realize the shallowness of this complaint, but it's good to know before it happens to you. I'll wrap up by saying that this is a solid Kroger. Employees are nice & helpful, there's a wide selection of well-priced food, and ClickList is great option for saving time. there's one cashier (jill with long straight dark hair parted in the middle) who never smiles and who's so unpleasant that i never go to her line anymore. and there's a woman who works behind the service desk (karen) who's an unpredictably frantic ball of nerves, so consider yourself warned. everyone else there is pretty cool. chuck, the store manager, is always friendly, helpful, and busy making sure the store is running as it should. for one of the smaller krogers, this one usually keeps up with the things my family and i need. read more

Kroger pickup order, received confirmation email and arrived during my pickup window. Order was not ready, and I was told it would not be ready because they were 8 hours behind due to staffing issues. Never received a call text or email telling me prior to pickup. Called the store manager and somehow it was the first time she had heard of the issue. It is 8pm now and they are just pulling orders for 1pm... how can a store manager not be aware that their Kroger pic list department is nearly a full day behind on orders unless they are completely inept. If anything they should be directly involved in trying to catch up. This is the 2nd time this location has not been ready on time. I really tried to give this store the benefit of the doubt, unfortunately the clicklist service is so poor I cannot attempt to order from this store any longer. I have been able to walk in and purchase in-store what had been listed as out of stock. Today my order had less than half of the items supposedly available and no substitutions available for basic grocery items. I was able to cancel the order after a 10 minute hold phone call. Poorly managed Kroger . It's poorly stocked and messy. It became a regular thing to always use self checkout or bag your own groceries . I don't mind usually , especially if they're under staffed . However a lot of the employees are pretty rude . There are a few who I've noticed have been there a while and are kind but the kids who come and go there are pretty rude and disrespectful. There were 4 kids collecting carts in the lot and huge lines at self check out with one register open . I heard multiple people complaining while these kids were rolling around on the carts outside . I always grab a cart from the lot on my way in and on my way out one of these kids were rolling a line of carts in and it was pretty much full so I asked if I should leave it next to the door as to not get in the way and he gave a pretty nasty reply. This location is not my normal store that I stop at, but because I was in the area I stopped to pick up a few things I needed. Thank gosh this isn't my Kroger store. Was checking out in the self check where my experience at this location completely turned negative and physically made me upset. The employee who seemed on the younger side, a blonde man was very short, and very rude. Not an once of patience for anyone and looked absolutely miserable. Everyone has their bad days which I understand, I myself work in the service industry and have to put a smile on sometimes when I'm not feeling it. But this young man was just plain rude. A very kind elderly gentlemen politely said "excuse me sir my wife purchased the wrong thing" and before the gentlemen could even finish his sentence the young man cut him off and said "state law you cant return liquor" and TURNED his back to the elderly man and walked away. It was very disrespectful and dismissive. He was also rudely talking to another customer checking out next to me, treating the customer like a child. Mangement needs to seriously evaluate their customer service training. I will not be back and will not be recommending this location to anyone. read more

First - this is a very convenient shopping option. The local store has been well run and the clicklist staff try very hard. My issue is their website. On multiple occasions over the past couple of months, it has been impossible to complete the pickup order online. The first was due to their update - it didn't work with Chrome. Really?! The second time (today), it wouldn't accept a credit card so the pick up time slot was lost. It had to be paid through the mobile app instead and the entire process for this one order took nearly an hour to get submitted. There are other options out there. For a company the size of Kroger and the tech tools available today, there is little excuse to not have a website capable of supporting an offered service. read more

This is an OK store. It's pretty clean for the most part, and you can get most of the basics here. To be honest, its hard to compete with the two Kroger Marketplaces nearby - they have a larger selection, which makes this Kroger lacking. I've shopped here a lot, and the only bad experience I've had is the food at the deli/hot bar - I'll get chicken for lunch a lot and the chicken here has been dry and gross the couple of times I've gotten it. I love the staff here. They're super nice. I ordered a cake for my daughters b-day. The person that works behind bakery was not available at the time. The two managers on staff a man and a woman, very pretty, went above and beyond. They stepped in and helped out by adding items to my cake and helped another customer that was waiting. I love this Kroger, the staff is always so nice. I ran in today for a birthday cake for my son. I tried to order online on Saturday, and it would not work. I wanted a chocolate sheet cake with preferably a sports theme. Kelly very happily modified an existing cake for me in shorter than five minutes. I originally went to the Livernois Kroger at 8:30 am and asked if they could honor my request. I told her I would come back in two hours. Two hours later, she said she could not help me. She could not understand why I would not buy my son the Tiffany blue cake with white roses on it. She very kindly offered to place a plastic basketball ring on it for me. I just replied " Nah, I'm good". So glad I drove directly to this Kroger, I have an awesome chocolate cake with orange writing and half a plastic basketball on it. The pharmacy was not very helpful and had me stand there for twenty minutes while they tried to figure out the price of my prescription with new insurance. After twenty minutes of the waiting, they suggest I walk around the store because their system crashed and it takes awhile to get back up. I ended up leaving and telling them to call me when they figure it out. Then, they called me with an outrageous price, I inform then that they didn't use the coupon, and then after having my doctor's office call them, they finally were able to figure out the coupon and my prescription was $10. The ClickList service is offered here and it is the only positive grocery shopping experience I have ever had. I was able to create a shopping list very easily since the use of my Kroger card over the last 5 years pre-populated items that may interest me. I reserved a date and time for pickup and followed the ClickList signs to a side entrance. The sign on the designated parking spot provides a phone number to call in order to let them know you are ready for your groceries and within 2 minutes the team came out with a cart and placed in my trunk. Payment was completed with a tablet after Michael provided a clear explanation of any substitutes or issues filling the order. I never got out of the car and my door to door trip was a grand total of 7 minutes. Very convenient! This service is on point. Big thanks to the team at Kroger in Shelby Twp for delivering my first enjoyable grocery shopping experience. As a result I have rated 5 stars. This store is convenient for me, and I do love some Kroger products but anytime something is in sale, it rings up wrong on your receipt and then you have to go back and get attitude, and no compensation for your time or gas.
