Many times they're out of stock on popular items while inferior items are in abundance. Most people want the smaller carts but all there is is the larger cats that are now difficult to maneuver through the aisles littered with the stand up displays. There are lots of useless and annoying announcements on the PA that interrupt the music that's playing (fact coordinator..., to of the hour fresh... Etc). Calling to talk with the pharmacy is difficult with the AI that has the intelligence of a 5 year old. I really believe that the management is completely out of touch with reality. I have moved my business to other stores in the area. read more

My favorite Kroger in town! Always clean, stocked, friendly staff, great prices, and always a quick trip. This location is always busy but I've never had to wait. Produce is fresh and meat selection is awesome. read more

The need was for lunch, but first thing I was looking for was a basket to hold my groceries. Couldn't find one. Frustrating holding my groceries in my hands. Next was the hunt for two single rolls for my lunch. Assorted packages of 6-12 rolls was not an option. No one there to ask either, so I went to the self checkout and promptly checked out and left. The store was clean, aisles stocked very well. I'm looking to move to the area, hopefully these minor inconveniences can be rectified. read more

I've tried the Kroger on Union. I've tried the Kroger on Cleveland. I've tried the Kroger in Poplar Plaza. All inefficient, all barely stocked, all rude employees (as a collective whole, given that there are always a few great people and bright spots in any not great situation). However, I was further out east yesterday, and I think I might have found a new Kroger to go to, even if out of the way. The shelves were mostly stocked, though this seems to be a Memphis-wide thing, and I'm not even talking about big COVID, everyone freak out and stock up products; I'm talking about basic things. Nonetheless, they were more shelved than any other store I've tried in the city. The employees were extremely polite, even saying hello within the store when they walk past - who would've thought? Efficient checkout lines - check. Clean store - check. Helpful staff - check. Able to get in and out - check. It's so nice. It took me 10 years to find - and I hope it's not a one-time thing or fluke - but I will be going back. read more

This Kroger seems to be cleaner and bigger than the surrounding Krogers. I was able to find all my items here.

This is my second favorite Kroger. The first being the one on Kirby. Can someone take the toilet pictures off when you see this Kroger on Yelp ? It is nasty to have to see. This Kroger is pretty well stocked for my needs. The self check outs are usually pretty quick too. I also use the pharmacy which is convenient. read more

Great manager, mostly awesome and helpful staff (props to the meat department crew!), great selection, and fair prices. Definitely sign up for their Rewards program! Between saving on most items for just using the Rewards card, there are also digital coupons, and you can use your fuel points to save up to $1.00 a gallon (up to 35 gallons per fueling). read more

Right now I wish I could give negative stars. I placed a pick up order and scheduled a time slot to pick up. I've now been waiting an hour and a half. An hour and a half! They say they are short on staff and that's fair enough but when you let customers schedule on line, you should not make slots available unless you can fill an order within that time slot. read more

First time using Quick Pick & it was awful. I was there twice for pick up but no groceries. Apparently the customer is to determine if THEIR automated text system is telling me the correct time. "No mamam, we didn't mess up, you can't believe corporate texts, your order is still the delayed time slot. Then I needed to reschedule which was another long boring fire drill. Finally cancelled my order the next day after being unable to reschedule!!!Avoiding Kroger in the future after this episode of of shopping convenience & total lack of basic human courtesy. The pharmacy is very slow and inefficient. I called in a prescription day before yesterday early in the morning. In that recorded message I was told the prescription would be ready at 1 pm. I was not able to go that day and it turned out I was not able to go yesterday because of my mother-in-law's funeral. I went today at 2:00 pm and it had not been filled. I was told it would be about 20 - 25 minutes and I could "go shop." Since I only came for the prescription I went home. I got another automated notification a few minutes ago that the prescription was ready. This was 45 minutes after it was supposed to be ready on top of the the additional 20 -25 minutes. I don't believe they actually start work on any of the prescriptions until you show up to pick it up - no matter when it was called in. Workers are slow and do not seem to really know what is going on in the pharmacy. read more

This place is unkept and disgusting. Went in today 08/21/2020 and all of the grape tomatoes of every brand had mold on them. That's just disgusting. I told the service desk about it. He didn't seem to care. I don't see how anyone shops here unless they want to get sick from dirty produce. Blah. read more

Kroger does a terrible job of making sure employees properly wear their masks. Most all of the clerks wear the masks below their noses, making them ineffective. Also baggers must not receive any training because many have no clue how to double bag paper sacks. I've trained more of them than Kroger management. read more

Yes, I admit...I will drive out of my way along with other Yelpers to shop at this Kroger. They have some of the best store-bought Sushi from Hissho Sushi, fresh & made in store. I've bought it from some of the other Kroger markets, but this one is BEST amongst the ones I've tried. Also, this location has some of the freshest/ most luscious fruits and veggies! Sorry Kroger, but I gotta take away a star for the recent parking situation. The last several Sundays, the boyfriend and I have been blown away at how jam-packed the parking lot was, and at people's bad behavior in it! When the main lot gets full, people parallel park in the lane by the front of the store, and in the small side lot by the loading dock, blatantly ignoring the "no parking" signs, leaving carts everywhere (which don't seem to be collected in any kind of hurry), stopping in front of the store for long periods to drop people off, and generally making a bad situation worse. We saw a semi-truck having a difficult time backing into the loading dock because people were parked in the area meant to give him a straight shot in. And the weird thing is, the store just hasn't seemed that busy! I can't figure it out, but it's certainly frustrating the heck out of me. read more

I would give 4.5 stars if possible. This is one of my favorite Kroger locations and I even visit twice a day sometimes (on my way to and from work). Employees have always been friendly, shelves well-stocked, and great markdown items (I love a bargain). They also have a pretty wide variety of kosher items. The only thing that's problematic is the parking. Their lot does not match their popularity. I don't know how they could ever fix that though because space is so limited. read more

I LOVE this Kroger, can't believe I lived here for so long without checking it out. I had been going to the one across the street on Truse Pkwy and assumed that one had to be newer/nicer. Boy, was I wrong! This place is big, new, and has an amazing selection! I can't think of any other place you should be shopping. They have organic, kosher, and just plain ol' everything. Spacious aisles, Boar's Head Deli, a little buffet, need I say more? I love to buy beer and they have an excellent selection of those for TN, including my favorite "make your own 6 pack" if you're into trying new things. It is hard to make it sound as good as it is in a review. Just pay it a visit if you're in the area and you'll be bound to love it like I do. read more

Probably the best grocery store in Memphis, all things considered (yes I'm looking at you Fresh Market with your sorry selection of frozen foods). This Kroger has the most produce and largest meat department of any Kroger I've been to in Memphis. They will steam shrimp for you right in the store in a variety of flavors (lemon garlic and cajun spice are my personal favorites) and they even occasionally have Dr Pepper 10, which is nearly impossible to find in Memphis (though I know a few places that I won't tell you because you'll just go buy it all). The sushi gets its own paragraph. It's really good for grocery store sushi! I get it all the time and it's always fresh and cold. The sushi lady is very nice, too, and will make you the roll you want if you don't see it in the display. The parking stinks. There's simply not enough of it, and you're always battling little old ladys in Priuses and distracted moms in Lexus SUVs for spaces and they always win. Do yourself a favor and park at the street end of the lot and walk the extra 40 yards. Your heart will thank you. Or go on Sunday mornings before noon while everyone is at church. read more

Ive gone to this kroger for a solid year, even though the one off highland is like 3 minutes from my house. The staff is so friendly here, and they always have the freshest fruit and vegetables. I also feel safer going to this one after it gets dark. All-in-all, I still try to go to this one as much as I can! It's not as big as the one off highland, but it's definitely more organized and secure! read more

Really cool new look to the entire store. Large Kosher food deli with tons to choice from. Not to mention the regular deli and hot plate lunch counter with the adjacent Fresh Sushi made each morning/afternoo/night too. The employees are very friendly. However, depending on the day you shop, you may not find your item in stock on the shelf. I often have to go to other locations to get what this one was out of stock on. I understand the store is popular, but management should make more effort to ensure all items are always in stock to ensure the continued success of this location. I will say though, when you alert a manager of an out of stock item, they will usually allow you to purchase a similar item for the same price of the out of stock item; nice but I'd rather have the item I went there for. read more
