I was a regular customer of this location until the following incident happened. About 2 weeks ago I went to the cashier to pay for my items and the cashier's name is Elizabeth and she saw me however, she was on her cell phone on a personal call and I waited and she was still on her personal call. I then asked Um do I need to wait until you finish your personal call?? Really. I took my items and went to the self checkout. I spoke to some customer service manager with a red vest and she wasn't attentive or helpful. This week on Wednesday I went to pick up a few items and needed cash back. The cashier ran up my items including beer and the man bagging my items put the sticker on my beer. I forgot to get cash back so I went with my PAID items to self checkout and bought a KitKat to get cash back. As I walking out a white female wearing eyeglasses, short brown curly or wavy hair, yelled loudly at me " Um Ma'am you forgot to pay for your beer" and she yelled it TWICE as she was following me to the door like I was a criminal or stealing beer when you can clearly see the yellow sticker on the case of beer. Please note I'm a HISPANIC woman and this type of racial profiling is unacceptable!! Meanwhile there were 3 other customers walking out while she's accusing me of stealing. I turned around and replied um do you not see the sticker and are you really following me to the exit!! She didn't apologize for accusing me of stealing beer. I was embarrassed, shaking and very upset at this point. When I got to my car with my PAID items I was crying and shaking. WTH and how dare this Kroger employee accuse me of not paying for an item. I immediately called the store and spoke with store manager James and I explained to him was just happened and he seemed preoccupied or annoyed and could care less about what just happened. Again, this is unacceptable and unethical and formal complaints have been filed. Kroger's will reply and IDC as your employees need to be trained and need to do better!! This is not the last they hear of this incident! I'm now shopping elsewhere for my groceries. read more

Second time here my experience was completely horrible. I clipped coupons and I usually know exactly how much I'm going to spend after mega sales and coupons come off. I bought $150 worth of things and none of my mega deals came off. Only a couple of coupons so I went to customer service to get my refund and the lady told me that the mega savings and coupons do not stack. I have never in my life been told that before. I am 42 years old and I have been shopping and couponing at Kroger for about 20 years. Manager was extremely rude even when I showed that multiple different occasions they have both stacked. Today was the second time I came home with spoiled food. This time today it was chicken. Last week I opened spoiled sour cream. Seems the refrigerators may be malfunctioning as these products were in separate areas, and also near the side walls of the refrigerators. Customer service was helpful in both situations. Every time I've went at least one side of a set of doors has been blocked by a sign, and this time I went, after buying a bottle of soda I was trying to walk over to the Pokemon vending machine when two employees blocked my way and told me to leave through the other entrance. Upon trying to explain I was trying to get to the vending machine, not the exit, they kinda glared at me and went "Whatever, it's usually empty anyways." And slowly walked off. read more

Today I called to chek to see if the store had the Falfurrias butter in stock, that is advertised in the weekly sales paper. After repeating, several times, that I was checking on the availability of the butter, The front desk finally switched me to the Dairy department. The man that answered said they didn't have any butter that is sold by the pound in the Dairy dept.. He switched me to the Deli to check. The Deli doesn't sell butter and tried switching me back to the Dairy dept. After holding for several minutes I finally hung up. read more

Nightmare sandwich I was hungry this morning and decided to eat my sandwich. As I was chewing I kept noticing a resistance hitting my teeth. So I spit it out and checked. It couldn't really tell what I was seeing. So I opened up my sandwich to examine it. To my surprise I had an unwelcome surprise inside. I'm relieved it wasn't a glove or something even more gross. **This review is mostly for the pharmacy, but also includes some information about the grocery side of things.** Two stars. I truly don't like giving only two stars, and I afforded this location plenty of opportunity to right its wrongs to no avail. The main cause for the two stars is the pharmacy. While they have always been polite, the operation reeks of inefficiency and very poor management. We switched pharmacies about six months ago to this location because it was convenient. Huge mistake. I've heard everything from "They didn't forward the prescription to us," (when I saw the doctor hit 'send') to "We've been involved with the COVID thing, and your prescription isn't ready," (three days after they received it). One of the latest faux pas involved this pharmacy not having my prescription in stock. It's a common prescription -- NOT the $80K per dose Zokivny, which is used to treat a rare disease -- and Kroger is a national chain. Something is very wrong with this picture. On a positive note, the grocery side of this Kroger is exceptional (except for the meat department, which is clean but skimpy in offerings). The deli is decent, but there is one lady there who is as curt as NY Governor Mario Cuomo. (When we reported her to customer service, the guy said "Lemme guess ... it must've been such-and-such.") Attention Kroger: Your stock seems to be doing well at the moment, but your people could use some training ... particularly the folks whom you charge with managing things. There's an HEB across the street that emphasizes customer service, and the store is just as clean as yours -- with a superior meat department and folks in the deli who don't act like it's a chore to slice roast beef. Within the next few days, we will move our prescriptions to another store. There will be no more impulse buys as we walk beyond end caps and displays en route to the pharmacy. We will certainly return to this store, if only because of the awesome frozen food section. But most of our grocery and prescription budget will be spent elsewhere. read more

I just picked up groceries from the pickup area. The young man said the tablet wasn't working & I would have to give him my card & PIN number so he could take it inside & process it. NOT! I walked inside with him & entered my PIN on the terminal inside. I did call Customer Service and told them asking for someone's PIN is totally unacceptable. Review for pharmacy only! Showed up at 9:05 this morning to get prescription that was sent by my doctor on Tuesday. That's 4 days ago! Pharmacy tech was so rude and told me to find another pharmacy for next month refills because I showed up at the opening hour instead of waiting until afternoon! What????? I've used this pharmacy for 10 years and have never been treated so disrespectful! The pharmacy has a theft problem. I prepaid for an expensive medication, and received 30 of the 90 prescribed. When I went to get it refilled I was informed that 90 were dispensed. This is a lie. They say they cannot go back more than a month to inventory. One of the employees in the pharmacy stole the other 60 pills for themselves or to give away or to sell. The medication in question is a cholesterol med. I spent 2 hours on phone first with the pharmacy and then with several alternate contact numbers. Sat on hold for 30 minutes with one of the contacts, finally was connected and then hung up on. This pharmacy has a theft problem and they need to scrutinize their employees for theft. read more

This is a Kroger signature store so you will find a wider selection and fancier items than you would in a regular Kroger store. They have a Starbucks, a Sushi station where you can actually see the Sushi Chef preparing items fresh. They also have a huge olive bar and salad bar combined with a giant selection of cheeses. Another great thing is their wine selection. It is massive and rivals any other grocery store and most liquor stores. They also have a pretty big beer selection. One last item is they do have the foreign food isle which is pretty neat. Other than that it a grocery store. Not always the cheapest but nice, big well lit, and friendly. read more

This is a really clean and nice Kroger. My only complaint is that there were no tomatoes when we went and the staff wasn't exactly friendly.

I cannot Express how dissatisfied I am! I scheduled a delivery for 9/2/2019 that never arrived. It was to be delivered between 7 & 8 pm. By 9pm, I had not received my order, nor had anyone called, emailed or text. When I called customer service, she kept me on hold forever and then finally said she got ahold of the store and she said they just got started shopping. I told her to cancel that order because they were already over an hour late and hadn't even started shopping at 9pm. She didn't seem too happy about it, but canceled and told me it would be 3 to 5 days before I get my money. Never did she apologize or offer to make it right by talking to a manager or trying to have my order re-delivered. I ordered again for delivery today between 5 and 6. They finally delivered it at 6:45 pm and I'm missing almonds, lunch meat and lunch cheese! It's over $17 worth of groceries I'm missing, and I had to go back to the store, (I went to HEB instead!)to get the lunch meat and almonds for my daughters lunch. I would like to be compensated for the $17 in groceries I didn't receive, and I will most certainly not be shopping with this Kroger in the future. read more

For the past several years, Kroger has been the largest grocery store close to our home. When they first opened, we immediately had our prescriptions transferred to their pharmacy. We shop for most of our grocery needs at this location. The floral department frequently has some great bargains. The produce department usually has a large selection of products. The produce mgr. has a small rack for markdown items at great prices. Meats are generally overpriced and the only best selection is located in the meat case . The butchers/meat cutters are not very amenable to grinding or slicing cuts of meat on sale. The general grocery section is usually very good. Pet food prices for brand names tend to be costly. The dairy department usually has a terrific selection of products at great prices. I have to say, most of the store's true bargains come from this area. Frozen food section can be a challenge at times. The wine and beer section is well diversified. Oft times, one can find hidden values stowed away by the baby food section. Vitamin and supplements are BOGO most of the time. Our biggest complaint about this store is a severe lack of advertised specials NOT being in stock. The department managers are aware of future sales, but consistently fail to order enough merchandise to meet the demand. read more

This Kroger has a wonderful deli section, great health food section, and also a nice selection of organic produce and such! I have watched this store significantly deteriorate over the past 5 years. The parking lot needs repaying, and general upkeep needed. It's sad because it used to be such a good store. It's rundown and not very clean. Went in yesterday and to s of leaves all over - no one interested in sweeping them up. It appears there are staffing issues and high attrition. Spent 17 minutes at the deli counter at 4pm on a weekday and no o e ever showed. Spent 35 minutes at the butcher shop and no one. One person on staff in the butcher shop and she had to stick as well so was stocking the whole time even though I saw her look up multiple times and knew there were 3 people at the counter - poor customer service. All 3 of us left our full carts there and headed over to HEB to do our weekly shopping. MY TAKE - ok store if you need to pick up a couple of items but I won't be going back for weekly shopping. read more

While we were shopping at Kroger looking for brownies, an employee asked if we needed any help. My boyfriend asked her if they had any brownies with cream cheese icing. They did not, but the employee went to the bakery and had them ice a pan of brownies with cream cheese icing for us. Her name may have been Sandy. We thought this was very kind. Also, when we were checking out at the self checkout, an employee jumped in to help us with items that she could make it easier for, without being asked. Such as, I had five 6 packs of Dr Pepper. She rang them in with a hand scanner so that I didn't have to pull each one over the scanner. She also helped with our vegetables. We really appreciate these employees going the extra mile. Quick and easy place to find your groceries! The deserts at Kroger's always suck. Go to HEB across the street to grab desert. The flower section at Kroger's is really good and they have great deals on discounted flowers. If I could rate this Kroger a 0, I would... the straw that broke the camel's back occurred last Saturday when my wife asked them to fill an rx for 4 motion sickness patches when the store flat out refused to do it with 30 minutes to closing. Said the earliest was the next day... because of this they are losing 7 rxes from my family that get refilled every sing week and have for years. I called and spoke to one of the pharmacists today, Juiie, and asked her how I could move all 7 of our rxes across the street to Walgreens (who, incidentally filled the rx for the 4 patches happily with only 20 minutes to closing last Saturday) and Julie had absolutely no curiosity if there was any way for Kroger to keep the business or if there was a reason for moving them? In general, the pharmacy has started to take on the attitude of the store in general which is very poorly run in my opinion. It's an absolute mess! It's HEB and Walgreen's gain I guess! If you are going to have a Customer Service counter, you can't just close it during normal business hours. Cover it with someone else. Get the Store Manager off his/her butt and cover it. Was looking intently for a chunk of blue cheese and the very tall 'cheese man' who was working on the other side of the display case noticed...and asked, What it was that I was not finding? He not only showed me where to find it but then educated me a bit about different blue cheeses. I ended up buying two different types and learned something too! It is nice to have people that know about what it is they are selling and take the time to share with their customers! I am sorry that I did not get his name. Good job hiring Kroger! read more

Wow. Was checking out and was using debit card to pay. Kroger charges .50 to get money from the cashier. You heard that clearly. After you spend 100 or 200 on groceries they have the nads To charge you money to get your own money. Kroger never ceases to amaze me. The store is marginal at best and they are doing everything they can to come in last place. Absolutely stupid managers. I now spend my 6000 a year on groceries at HEB. Kroger is always dirty. This along with several other Kroger locations in the Houston area have become terrible with providing the customer a decent experience. Customer service is virtually non-existent anymore. They seem to never have enough cashier isles open to cover the amount of customers trying to check out at any given time of day. The cashier running the customer service desk goes on break for 15 minutes or more and leaves the desk unattended - nice planning on the part of store management. They have too many give-a-crap-less teenagers interfacing with customers. Their stock seems to be slipping more and more - frequently out of items and they have surprisingly discontinued items I buy on a normal basis. Note to Krogers management - HEB is kicking your arse in every category. I suggest you pick it up a few notches if you plan to keep doing business in Texas. read more

If I could give zero stars I would; there are so many issues with this store ! 1.) are there any adults working at this store? The staff is VERY young and you can tell they haven't been trained properly. Manners, people! Where is management? Train them, please! Some suggestions: don't have conversations with fellow staff when customers are checking out, don't make comments about personal items I'm purchasing, "hello," and "thank you" go a long way, and at least pretend to enjoy your job. We've ALL had jobs we don't want to work, but you need to "fake it till you make it." 2.) Why does it take so long to get items in stock? I usually go shopping after work everyday, and when I'm staring at the same empty shelf because my item still isn't there and 3 days has passed, there's a problem. 3.) Why does the seafood section smell so rotten? Management doesn't smell that? Wow. 4.) Please get some fresh meat in there too- brown meat is not what I want to buy, thanks. This is a much larger grocery store in comparison to the Kroger located on Egret Bay Blvd. It has a bakery, floral, and sushi section, along with a section for healthy foods and an isle for foreign foods (i.e. Caribbean, Indian, Mexican, Asian...). In the produce area, there are organic fruits/vegetables and some rare items like Daikon. The store also has a Starbucks which is a big bonus for me. Overall, the store store is clean and organized. My 4-star gripes? Every time I start to enjoy a particular product it ends up getting removed from the store. The bakery section could be better. The cookies can be undercooked, along with the croissants. They also put this cheese (I'm not sure what type), but it always smells like feet. The one thing I did encounter the other day for the first time was the smell of cigarette smoke behind the doors of the meat department. I was close to telling the manager about that, but decided otherwise. I normally purchase Atlantic salmon, but sometimes they look as though they've been beat up with a hammer or they smell as though they've been sitting out too long. My other gripe, when there are not enough registers open. I can't stand waiting in line, especially when I have just over 15 items, but still have to go to the regular line instead of the Express checkout. read more

This "K" Roger used to be top notch, but I've seen a steady decline over the past few years. Many of their usual employees are gone, and you have a bevy of kids stocking, bagging, and even checking. I don't have a problem with teenagers, but they're not very friendly, and act lost most of the time. Case in point: was over there Saturday at 7:30 AM and they couldn't find a checker. Never had I been there that late and they didn't have a cashier. Sadly, that's what you get when you hire too many kids: irresponsibility. I'm not expecting more than one lane open at that time, but come on, I could walk across the road at HEB (even before at 6:00) and HEB would have plenty of lanes open. I was there about three days before that at 6:15 AM and people were waiting outside for them to open. I don't understand that when they are open twenty four hours. I will say this, they do have Skyline chili which is a unique chili from Cincinnati,(their corporate, and Skyline's corporate hq's) but I'm sure the other Krogers carry it as well and I make a better, fresher batch. The Dickinson store and the Texas city store are just fine. This one will be fine being there's plenty of businesses/homesteads to support it in the coming years, but as far as I'm concerned and regarding my business, its taking a fast train to the big adios. read more

this is not my home kroger store, but i'm here alot because they have a kroger gas station...and their gas prices are always about ten cents cheaper than the one on egret bay! jackpot!! the store is new, clean and HUGE. they have alot of organic offerings and a pharmacy, too. Lots of registers, although i've never seen more than 3 of them open at a time. weird. produce guy is always super helpful, and they have a kick-butt clearance section near the bakery! read more

I love this kroger and it's employees, this is were we do our regular shooting and the staff is great. We usually start off our visit stooping by the flower section and getting a balloon for our daughter. The two women who work there are always so nice. There app is great for saving money with downloading coupons and not to mention what you can save on gas with your kroger card. My wife went the other day looking for kroger brand dog biscuits and they weren't available. She asked the store if they had anymore and when they said no, they gave her milk bones for the kroger brand price. read more
