I live in Davisburg near by this place and my family has been coming in here. I never returned anything until one time I bought a pink redbull and they were on sale. I drunk one as soon as I got in my vehicle but just realized I grabbed the wrong ones, they were sugar free and did not like the flavor so I brought it back and apologized that I need to exchange it. This very rude older woman in the service desk made a rude comment that she wouldn't let me exchange or return it . Watch out when you grab stuff on "sale" sometimes it's only for a digital coupon which is pretty scummy cause a big yellow sale tag with a lower price is gonna grab your attention but the small letters saying you have to have a coupon for it probably won't read more

I have been shopping at this location for decades. I am usually content with this location, but have been irritated with them for a couple of months now, and for 2 reasons; 1) The self checkout further away from the entrance continually malfunctions. Every few items scanned, the machine decides it has to call an attendant. You then have to wait for an attendant to come over and cancel it out. Very annoying doing this every 3 items scanned. It has been like this for many weeks without having gotten fixed. This is unacceptable. 2) My preferred prepackaged salad is shelved right next to the organic vegetable case, which has a faulty sprinkler head that often gets the packaged salads soaking wet. Often, I'll pick one that looks dry, but after a couple of days, the salad is slimy and gross. When something is broken at a retail outlet, and gets left broken for several weeks or months, that gives the impression to me, your customer, that nobody cares, that the store is very poorly managed. I really hope corporate or a high level manager from there is reading this, and does something about it. read more

Are the shelf prices ever right?! I have to go to customer service almost every time I shop at this Kroger. When I ask for the correct price (usually because someone didn't do their job and pull the tag), I get a lovely dose of attitude. There are some really nice Kroger stores out there. This is not one of them. It's an understaffed, poorly run, dump of a grocery store. I originally went to this one to avoid the parking lot chaos of the Grand Blanc location, but I will take that over this place any day. Your bad experience starts with the pothole-ridden parking lot and doesn't get better inside. The aisles are littered with towers of boxes of stock waiting to be shelved. When you try to dodge those, you are walking over debris on the floor or running into surly employees who don't move out of the way or even acknowledge you. They expect 98% of their customers to use the self checkout, so God forbid you get in line for an actual cashier. You. Will. Wait. Forever. And maybe get to bag your own groceries (who am I kidding, you are almost certain to bag your own groceries.) Highly recommend going to Meijer or even the Grand Blanc Kroger over this mess. read more

I was disappointed when again today, for the 4th time our pick-up order was more than 90 minutes late. I have a special needs child and anything that slightly offsets her schedule causes an evening long meltdown, but nobody cares. As a business you have more than 24 hour notice on these orders to make sure you're staffed adequately. Your little courtesy call isn't good enough. I've been in the parking lot for 10 minutes and there has been no movement on pickup orders and no parking spaces are open to even check in. Why make an appointment if the business can't even bother to adhere to the slot? There's no acceptable excuse. Update: we were told to come at 4:30 despite our 3:00 pickup time. They are closing stores instead of offering hazard pay to their hardworking staff - they are earning more money than they ever have before and they refuse to reward their workers - disgusting! Their workers also either don't wear their masks at all, or wear them only over their mouths not noses. You are forced to use self-checkout and I wonder how often those are sanitized - I've never seen it done. Terrible store to shop at, I would rate it less than one star if I could. The produce department is a rotten pile of fruits and vegetables, the seams of fruit flies in the corn on the cob is unbelievable l. The deli is next to produce and their famous line is "I don't fucking care", the reason I know this is because they say it often and Lucius enough to hear quite well in produce and bakery sections. The meat counter doesn't open until 10AM, a stupid policy they should open at 8 AM. The people hired to be personal Kroger shoppers are rude and rather a nasty group that should seek employment doing something other than customer service. As for checking out, forget it, you have to do that yourself, of course the self checkouts are like most things at Kroger, works half ass. When you do self checkout forget getting any help, if Lisa is working. She spends her time texting on her cell phone in the drawer hidden out of sight of the camera. As for the retiree that works there, he is technologically oppressed and has difficulties with anything electronic. The best advice I can give is go shop at VG's in Fenton, Meijers in Auburn Hills or Walmart's in White Lake. Avoid the hassle and aggravation of this store. read more

After shopping at this store I learned there were NO CHECKOUT people. A line at least a half an hour long snaked it's way through the frozen food isle. I ask someone if they were planning on opening up any checkout lanes and she snapped back that there wouldn't be anyone until 10am. What kind of a store is open without any checkout people? It's honestly sad that I'm writing a review for a grocery store right now. But I cannot express how horrible this store is. It's absolutely filthy and unorganized. Starting with the produce, it is absolutely horrible and I would not recommend buying from there at all. I don't generally buy processed or shelf food so I have to resort to whole food. I drive all the way to Whole Foods market in Rochester which is 20 minutes away versus 2 minute drive down the road. I believe in quality over quantity, I am not a cheap person. What happened to customer service and stocked shelves? This past year there has been a notable negative difference in customer service. The cashiers barely look at you. And the baggers are too busy talking to each other to care about helping the customer. Every trip to this store is disappointing. Again this week, items I wanted to purchase were not stocked. My dad went in this morning and the burger he was buying rang up almost double the price, so he asked about it and took a picture of the sign he saw. The employee that helped him, who he says was very nice, went to grab the manager for him. Manager comes out, my dad shows the picture and receipt, she takes the burger and receipt walking to the burger display to check him. She immediately was hostile an smacked the shield partition out her way on the way there, just being aggressive an unprofessional for no reason. The employee that was helping him originally was even stepping out of her way like "I'm not here" because of how she was acting. When she came back, realizing she was wrong about the price, all she said was "put your card in". My dad was passive about it and just left after he was refunded like $25. I don't know about you, I expect the manager to be *slightly* more professional to customers? Also side note, with refunds like that where someone was charged more than the retail price, michigan UPC scanner law requires you receive a compensation of no less than $1 and no more than $5 which depends on the difference of what you were charged/what it actually costs. read more

As a former cashier I would not recommend this store to anyone! I've cashiered for other companies in the past where things were ran entirety different BUT not this store! As a former employee of you show how hard you work and also go the extra mile to help a customer you simply get shit on and you automatically get a target on your back for fellow employees and managers to target you every single time your there to try to work. I've helped so many customers the best I could and the ONLY time I've ever felt appreciated was by the customers only. Management will stand there for hours on end and get into heavy chit chatting but omg if you stand there for 5 minutes waiting on customers they make you out to be the lazy one and make you do something else. They've shun away I don't know how many customers because their excuse is is that they are bagging customers stuff in order to keep the store running. I call bullshit. If there are customers in the store needing their bottle slips cashed in or even to get money orders they throw a huge hissy fit and send them elsewhere. The store manager is never there to even see how the store is ran and it's pathetic. As a employee if you have any kind of health issues, they will make it known to you on a daily basis and rapidly cut your working hours so badly that you can't even buy toilet paper with your next check. The fruits and vegetables are always super disgusting, I'm not buying bread there ever again, it molds instantly after 3 days after purchase. It's highly disappointing. The floors are so disgusting at that store I've been getting nothing but sick and one day I asked why no one ever cleans it, the response was "because no one gives a shit enough to do it" wow! Other fellow cashiers will bully you to no end and push you to wanting to quit like I did with no repercussions at all. They label customers as liars all of them but they always seem to forget that if it weren't for the people they wouldn't be employed but who am I to speak the truth that they can't handle. The only reason I go to this store is because it is closest to my house. Yes, I agree with the other reviewers, things are picked over and not always the freshest. I also have a problem with the workers that bag your groceries. They do a HORRIBLE job. I have gotten home to heavy stuff piled on my produce. It happens every time! Been a customer of the 9741 Dixie Hwy Kroger for eight years. Had a lot of bad experiences (one nasty cashier), baggers squashing tomatoes with heavy items, no baggers so do-it-yourself, many re-orgs of shelves, rotten veg/fruit, out of stock more now in 2018 with offering more items, being overcharged too many times so I'm constantly trying to catch errors and watch the baggers at same time. GOOD experience also, with good cashiers, pharmacy, leader in selling milk with no-hormones no rbst (thank you Kroger and thank you for Simple Truth - non-GMO and non-BPA), good deli and meat dept., friendly staff around the store to help you find something, no hassle returns. But today at the Customer Service desk, the manager (with very long hair) there was extremely rude and nasty. She was having a big problem with the computer trying to do something for one customer. Another lady and I waited a long time as she was working with the one customer. She couldn't fix the problem she was having so gave the customer some credit or something, and the customer then left. But instead of waiting on us, she went back to the computer (there are three computers there), and continued to work on this problem she was having for 5 - 10 minutes, totally ignoring us. Never said a word. So when another manger entered the Customer Service area I asked her if she could help us, and then the manager who was ignoring us VERY VERY nastily said she will wait on us when she is done with the other customer (the customer who had been gone for 5-10 minutes). And said, very nasty again, only one manager is aloud back in the Customer Service at a time, and next made another nasty remark which made me say to her to not talk to me that way. I just did not think I was doing something wrong to ask the other manager, who had entered the service area, for assistance, while she battled with the computer. This Kroger is only two miles away, but I think I may change to the Grand Blanc Store or the Kroger further down Dixie Highway. read more
