    Vintage stuff.

After checking out the Evil Dead gallery at The Mystic Museum nearby, we stumbled across this Christmas store while walking down Magnolia. Now, I'm all about the dark holiday, but Jaime loves Christmas. We're very different, but since he just saw me gawk and drool over a bunch of demons and scary photo props, I owed him one. When you walk in, the owner greets you and encourages you to look around and take as many photos as you want. In fact, he insisted we take one in front of of the Christmas tree to commemorate our experience. Jaime was all about it. What makes this store super cool is that most of the things on display are vintage. From ornaments to just general house decor, all of the items were unique and had a cool story behind them. Kristopher himself is really awesome and you can tell he's really passionate about what he does. The store only pops up for three months a year, but if you're looking to get a little holiday spirit (even before Halloween...), you should definitely make it a point to stop by and see what he has to offer! Prices are higher than those big box stores, but these pieces are one-of-a-kind and neat.

A delightful, unique Christmas store. Almost everything is vintage and classic with ornaments from all over the world. Prepare to find trinkets long forgotten by your childhood and stroll down memory lane. It is a Christmas corner filled with joy and well worth the visit if you're in need of some Christmas spirit.

Unique and fun collection of antique and collectible Christmas items. So fun to go and browse or take something home for your own collection. Prices are fair, when you compare similar items on Ebay or other collectible sites. Kristopher is truly spreading the holiday cheer, especially this year when we really need it.

What a fun holiday experience. Nostalgic Holiday decor, friendly staff. We had so much fun and found a few items we couldn't leave without.

Here you can find a wide variety of hand-crafted goods. And there is quite a myriad of objects on display. And there's a very large collection of pottery, including bowls, dishes and coffee mugs. This place is an excellent place to shop for those who are intrigued by foreign cultures. And the prices are extremely reasonable. And besides for being reasonable, you can find nice pieces in the under ten dollar range, well into the one hundred and fifty or more. There really is something for any budget. I was greeted when I entered the store and asked if I needed help...but was not asked every five minutes (something that I see as a major plus). Check out was a breeze with the clerk on duty. I will definitely come again.

I didn't intend to buy so much, but I found something for each member of my family and a few friends, too. My favorites were the ornaments, children's area, kitchen items (aprons, dish towels) and the beautiful jewelry!! I had so much fun browsing and I am thrilled with my purchases. Thank you, Laurel! You are running a fab shop here in Pasadena and I can't wait to return!

As one of the oldest independent bookstores in California, it has a really special charm. Inside, there's a wine bar, a coffee shop, and even a cute gift shop upstairs, which makes it easy to spend a lot of time browsing and relaxing. While I was there, I got to listen to an author present her book and answer questions, which added such a unique and memorable touch to the visit. The store was busy, and you could really feel how much people enjoyed being there. The layout is well organized, making it easy to find books by genre. Upstairs, there's a spacious children's section, which is great for families. I also loved the section featuring Orson Welles books and posters. It was a really cool and unexpected addition. Overall, Vroman's is more than just a bookstore as it's an experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
