It's been about ~6 weeks since my wedding and I've debated for awhile how I was going to write my…read morereview for me and my bridal party. Overall, I think this group of ladies was very professional, but I am disappointed with my hair and make-up execution. When I reached out to Salon 1|4 to do my trials, I didn't see these two items as being missed, but were unfortunately missed on my wedding day. Malia did my hair and although the curls are beautiful, she didn't part my hair straight. I have naturally dark hair and very pale skin, so my crooked hair part was very noticeable in many of my wedding photos. I did tell Malia too what kind of part I had, but she didn't bother to straighten it. Tara did my make-up, which she is very good at! The big miss on her end is that my eyeliner and/or fake lashes were not even across my eyes. Again, this was very noticeable in many up closed wedding photos of mine. It's really a big bummer and makes me sad looking through my photos. We didn't have mirrors in our getting ready space, which I regret significantly, but regardless, I really wish these ladies did a better job double checking their work before calling me done. I spent over $2000 on hair and make-up for 8 ladies, including myself. I was certainly expecting a more polished finish. I'd recommend looking at another salon or company before considering Salon 1|4 for your wedding.

The staff were friendly, professional, informative and an absolute pleasure spending time with. I called hoping for a same day appointment as advertised on their facebook page. To my luck they had an opening with Mindi. (I loved her btw) I arrived to this convenient location with nothing but a photo from Pinterest. I told Mindi what I wanted and she cut my hair exactly like the photo. I am so extremely happy with my hair. It's been a long time since I could say that. :) Here is what I learned about the salon: They are family owned and operated. They have a large range of services from hair care to skin care. They offer make up lessons, hair lessons and are willing to educate you on any beauty needs without pushing their products on you. They are priced just right! Their services and products are not overly priced!! I will be going back for continued hair and skin needs! I am so happy I found this place.

It is hard to find people who don't just do what they want on your hair and will actually listen. I wanted my hair cut to make it look healthy, but still to preserve as much length as possible, and that is exactly what I got. The style immediately made me feel confident, and I received tons of compliments. The facility was easy to find (located inside Keystone at the Crossing), and was very nicely decorated. I was the only one there and was able to receive a relaxing personalized experience. I am very happy with my hair, and I will definitely be returning!

I finally made an appointment expecting somewhat nice results considering how nice the inside is, how it's a salon and not great clips and the price. Well, it's day two and I'm still upset. Coming home realizing there's obvious huge random chunks of unchopped hair. I cut it immediately because it made me cringe. I'm still finding unevenness that I will fix myself because I'm no longer trusting anyone especially no one here. I asked for layers and I'm so grateful she DID NOT LISTEN TO ME :) because I can't imagine how disgusting it would've been if probably be better shaving my head bald. I asked for bangs and she cut about 20 hairs to make the beautiful waterfall bangs I asked for. Her name is ALLISON. She seems to have no experience or common sense at all? I have no education in hair and I know when something is CLEARLY WRONG. I'm not confrontational and thought maybe I was just seeing everything wrong but I came home and it was indeed worse than I could imagine. She insisted on curling my hair too now I know why it's harder to see how shitty of a hairstylist you are when your hair is curly! Absolutely horrible. If she works here I would not trust ANYONE here. Please no one deserves this. Especially a mom who does nothing for herself. Do yourself a favor. Heartbroken.

When I arrived, I pretty much exclaimed that I was feeling a little awkward about having a stranger in my crotchal region, as I like to call it. Of course...it's her job. She sees all manner of hoo-ha daily. So...I said the hell with it, flung my pants off, and she went to work. Conversation flowed easily, there was laughter, and before I knew it the hair was gone. It wasn't completely painless...but it was my first time after all. It wasn't the most painful thing I've experienced at all. It was over in under half an hour. I was give tips on after care as well.
