Now about the equipment, yes they have anything and everything you could need, but it is not maintained even in teh slightest. not only is it dirty, adjustment knobs are missing so you are grabbing at threads, just everything is super worn down and ill maintained. On top of that, it is just so darn depressing in there. There are TV's lining the walls, but not a single one of them was on. On top of that I am not saying you need to blast music, ut a gym with absolutely nothing playing is painful. Then, it is a 3 floor facility, all the escalators were off, and these are not normal height floor, I would approximate that each flight is equivalent to 2 if not 3 regular floors. Will likely not be returning unless im in an absolute pinch and would definitely not recommend.

It has all the equipment one could need and is by far the best value in the area. But I recently cancelled my membership because lately it's become a bit too popular. I purposefully work out during non-peak hours (noon weekdays, weekend mornings), but here it seems the weight room is crowded no matter when you show up. My last week there, I was constantly waiting for machines to come open and could hardly get a decent workout in. Had to make the step up to a less crowded albeit pricier facility. The cardio area always has tons of machines available, so if that's your thing, this place is great. But if you're into strength training, you may want to look elsewhere. To their credit, it was incredibly easy to cancel (easier than signing up, to be honest), no questions asked. And the cancellation took effect a week after l made the request.

I had seen on your website that first-time visitors are permitted to tour and try the gym before committing to a membership, so I asked the person at the front desk if I could do so. He identified himself as the manager on duty that day and informed me that the visit would cost $20. I immediately took out my card to pay. While the manager stepped away to assist another customer, another gym member who was present told me that he had been a member at multiple Planet Fitness locations for many years mentioned that he had never been charged for a first visit or tour at the other locations he had used. He then asked the manager about the charge. At that point, rather than simply explaining the policy, the manager became defensive towards me (NOT THE PERSON WHO ACTUALLY ASKED ABOUT THE CHARGE) and began complaining that he was the only manager working on a Sunday and that even he was required to pay for his membership. He questioned how it would make sense for people to come in for free. I reiterated that I was not complaining about the $20 charge and had not even asked the question about it. While the manager was preparing the payment screen, I noticed information regarding the available membership plans. Because I travel frequently and may be away for several weeks at a time, I asked a straightforward clarifying question about the advertised ability to freeze or cancel a membership. Specifically, I wanted to understand how freezing a membership would affect the annual fee and whether I would be charged another annual fee after reactivating the membership. I explained that I was asking because I was seriously considering signing up and wanted to determine which membership option would be most appropriate for my circumstances. The manager responded in a condescending and sarcastic manner, stating that Planet Fitness is a large corporation and that I would be remiss to think I could "hustle" a company as large as Planet Fitness out of paying my dues. I found this response particularly inappropriate and insulting. I had not suggested that I wanted to avoid paying any fees, nor was I attempting to find a way around the membership terms. I was simply asking for clarification about the terms of a membership I was considering purchasing. I again explained this to him, but he continued to tell me that I was taking his comments too personally and that he was merely explaining things from a general point of view. That explanation does not align with the circumstances of the interaction. I was a prospective new member standing directly in front of him, asking specific questions about how the membership terms would apply to my particular situation. I was not challenging the company's policies; I was attempting to understand them before making a financial commitment. At that point, I decided that I would simply visit another branch, as I was still scouting different locations in the area. As I walked away, I heard the other customer who had spoken with me earlier tell the manager that he should not have spoken to me in that manner. Rather than reconsidering his approach, the manager loudly told me that I should leave because I was "taking things too personally." I want to be very clear that my concern is not that I was asked to pay $20. Nor was I upset about being required to pay membership fees. My concern is the manager's dismissive, accusatory, and unnecessarily confrontational treatment of a prospective customer who was asking reasonable questions. I am new to the area and was previously a member of two former gyms - one for 9 years another for 6. In all of my years as a gym member, this was by far the rudest interaction I have had with gym staff. A prospective customer should be able to ask questions about pricing, membership terms, and policies without being accused of trying to "hustle" the company or being told that they are taking things personally. Unfortunately, this interaction has left such a negative impression that I do not intend to return to Planet Fitness. I am sharing this review because I believe the conduct I experienced was inappropriate and does not reflect the level of professionalism and customer service that should be expected from a manager representing this company. I hope future prospective customers can be informed before coming into this establishment.

Whats more telling is, I am excited to work with Je on another journey to build my muscle and curves and build the body of dreams, which I thought was unattainable until I began working with her and seeing my results from then to now. This has truly been a total lifestyle change where I feel better mentally, physically, and emotionally. Granted life happens sometimes, but at least I have had Battle Fitness in my corner to help keep me on track with prioritizing myself and workouts to know that I am stronger, physically and mentally and results I have attained are incredible. I was searching for a black owned trainer in my local area when I found Je. She was close by and had great reviews so I decided to book a consultation and I'm so happy I did. I've had a trainer in the past however, the difference is that Je incorporated a total lifestyle change that encompassed so much more than just workouts. I workout in small groups but each session is personalized to the individual and their goals. I am in the military and one of my main goals was to improve on my physical fitness assessments. I am so happy I surpassed my goal in rising from a "Good High" score to an "Excellent score where I am now exempt for taking my physical fitness assessments for the year. I have even been approached as taking on a role as the command fitness leader due to my score off excellent. Jé also takes it a step further with private  1:1 consulting where we discuss my body transformation progress, what may or may not be working and how to make adjustments for better results. Je has always listened to whatever I'm going through and did not let me fall short of my goals no matter how much resistance I gave thinking -"this was too hard," or learning to balance my personal life to not get in the way of my goals. She made me feel like I could do this journey and truly supported me along the way. I appreciate you JE :

While trying to find the exit, I made an honest mistake and walked across a small green section. That felt intimidating, inappropriate, and made the environment feel unsafe and very uncomfortable. The overall staff interaction and vibes came across as unprofessional and very ghetto. I was looking at their personal training here, but after how I was treated, I would never choose to give this place my business. I'll just stick with my current trainer. On top of that, many of the machines appear very old, run-down, and unstable. A lot of the equipment looks outdated, which raises concerns about maintenance and overall care of the facility. Overall, this was a really disappointing and off-putting experience, especially for a first-time member.

I was visiting a relative in town and was just looking for a place to run and work out in that wasn't outdoors in 90+-degree weather. (We Southern Californians are weather wimps.) Best of all, the people that worked there were super helpful while being low-key. And it wasn't crowded both times I went, with the customers also seeming to be pretty low-key while being focused on their workout. The coaches are so positive and motivating, as well as thorough in their pre workout demonstrations and make those small corrections in our movements that make all the difference in our results and the burnnn! They coaches have a built a solid community within the gym which can't be understated. The HIIT circuits are setup so nicely, flowing through about 10 different stations and leaving the whole body worked by the end of the class. These classes are pretty solid for building muscle but you're not going to get huge or insanely strong with this style of workout. This will be more for toning muscle/athletic build as well as gaining functionality and work capacity. It's nice that it's all based on time rather than numbers so everybody can go at their own pace. However, if you really want to push yourself as hard as possible, then I'd say this targets the heart and lungs more than anything, and health is what it's really all about. This is even true in the resistance classes, which you always leave with a serious pump. The weights you're using aren't as heavy as CrossFit which mostly allows for you to push yourself in a safer and higher paced manner and there's more variance in exercises and movements than Orange Theory without the concern of running injuries so while all of the big name HIIT enterprises have some advantages, I believe F45 is the best because it has the most well-rounded diverse stimulus mentally and physically and therefore has the most potentially for truly being "in-shape", healthy, functional, and athletic because you're more motivated to consistently train hard and allowed to do so while staying injury free. If I have to knock it I'd say that some of the exercises are more body building oriented (fly's and curls) than I'd like, but most are performance based. I will also admit, if this were my only training then I'd definitely like to have heavier weights on resistance days because those end up mostly being muscle endurance for me (which is more important than raw strength if I'm forced to choose). I'd also appreciate a little more sprinting but I know that greatly increases the injury risk so I understand the omission there. Also if there was more space, I would love to incorporate something more explosive like med ball throws. All in all though, considering the energy in there, the results you'll get from start to finish only sacrificing 45 minutes to make the rest of your day better, this place is great!
