KKC is our favorite and we stop and try each venue that carries it. In this case we ordered at the Pirate Bar and enjoyed a brew outdoors while watching the pirate ship Bob in port. Reminded me of old Cancun bars. Nice calm day, great music, great staff. We can always count on KKC for the win! Worth a stop to Padre Island to enjoy at Isla Blanca beach. read more

The chicken is good and the biscuits are so delicious! It is an odd spot cause you have to get in to the sitting area from the tour establishment on your right and is not really a restaurant but It has a nice view. Now get mentally prepared to wait an extended amount of time. At least 25 minutes. Also they don't have white meat regardless of what the menu says. Wow! Krispy Krunchy Chicken has definitely exceeded my expectations! We stumbled upon it randomly, figuring it would be a normal chicken place with expense prices due to its location. However, I was able to order a full meal for my girlfriend and I, with leftovers for lunch that cost a total of $13. Plus, the food was amazing. I highly recommend getting the honey butter biscuits and the tenders. The location was short staffed, and the food took around 20 min, but we could smell the food cooking so it was nice to know it was made fresh. 100% will be returning here! read more

I just added these honey buns to to my list of the best things I've ever eaten. We even came back and got some for desert one night after eating at a different restaurant. The chicken is made to order so it arrives hot and Krispy. This place is located right on the pier and features some cool pirate decor and a great view of the gulf. We enjoyed watching people fishing and hanging out with the pelicans while waiting for our food. It may be fast food, but it offers a whole SPI experience. read more

The chicken was excellent and fresh but sides really need some work. The Mac & Cheese was water down and fries were cd.

This place is just a little local joint that is not concerned about jacking the price up just because of it's location. We loved it. No inside seating but plenty of picnic tables around back and a little bar next to it with an Happy Hour all day. We had chicken tenders meal and red beans and rice. No complaints from my crew. I can't believe this place only had one review. Will be back for sure. read more

Had already tried reviewing them on Yelp before and realized there was no yelp account for this location prior, but today's visit was so stellar that I had to submit a request for creation of an account for these peeps. Here's what happened: Showed up on January 3rd (a Tuesday night) at about 930pm after being turned away from 2 restaurants in the area (Pirates Landing and Marcelo's) who don't care their closing time is 10pm and will turn away money 35 min prior. A very nice man took our order and then told his cook to turn the frier back on. WHAT! He could have very easily told us they were also closed, (and we were kind of expecting it), but no. He delivered a fresh box of chicken tenders, delicious fries and upgraded us to a large jambalaya with a smile. The island is a touristy location, i get it, but we live here year 'round so it's great to find places that cater to locals. We value great food, sure, but we value great customer service even more. This place was seriously awesome, and we will keep coming back as long as we are around. read more

We ate there today-ate the best chicken strips ever!!!! The fries were equally good. It's a small place right on the bay no inside tables but plenty of picnic tables.
