This is the go to place for any stuff Indian. Aromatic spices, fresh produce, packaged frozen food, pre packed Indian snacks, ghee, ginger garlic pastes, sauces , basmati rice, whole wheat, dals, paneer, frozen naans and all the other stuff - All at affordable prices. Considering the fact that I am able to cook regular ethnic meals at home, I would say this place is fairly inexpensive. I prefer this store over other Indian stores in the adjoining areas because the stock of prepacked goodies is always fresh. Its never months old like in other stores and they have a friendly customer service. I don't expect a safeway or King soopers type of store when I go to an Indian store. Considering that Colorado does not have a huge population of Indians unlike the east coast or even the west coast, I am THRILLED that we have a store like Krishna's! The location is great too in terms of Ample parking space and is just off the south boulder road. read more

I like to try exotic food, and Krishna is a place for that. The only problem I have with Indian grocery stores is that they are somewhat hygienically challenged. They don't wipe the shelves, mop the floors, or do any type of regular maintenance type of stuff. I'm careful not to buy anything that is not factory packaged in a store like this. Presentation is everything people, clean up, get rid of the junk, and air out the place. This is very important if you want to stay in business in an expensive area like Boulder. read more

I buy several spices here. They are pretty good and staff is always polite and friendly. I just go in there once in a while and check if I want to try any new spice for my curry. There are just so many different kinds and I can go very creative with those. read more

Affordable and pretty well stocked. That's really all there is to a good Indian grocer right? This place is in a rugged and half vacated strip mall surrounded by a neglected parking lot, and behind the local dive bowling alley. Real estate aside, I love the place. Yes, the Indian grocers are on average not as sparkling clean as the Whole Foods. I'll give you that, although doesn't Whole Foods always smell like nasty old seafood? Anyway, the majority of their customers are from areas where it's the norm, so the standards are a bit different. It doesn't particularly bother me. The dry food is packaged, and I wash my veggies before I cook with them of course. The prices, I believe, are great. They charge a fraction of the cost as your local chain supermarket for essentials like garlic/ginger paste or vegetables and spices. You get a 5-pack of garlic for the price of one head at the supermarket. You get a 1/2 lb package of cumin for the price of a little spice jar at the supermarket. No exaggeration. If you buy spices at the supermarket you're getting ripped off. The produce is generally great, and as I said inexpensive! They also have some more exotic ingredients you won't find elsewhere like some gourd I can even recall the name, but my wife makes an outstanding dal cha with it. They have a good selection of frozen meals if you're feeling lazy. A good selection of food that you usually don't find frozen, too. They also have Hindi movies, which aren't my thing but they're there. The only reason I withold the 5 stars is because their stock is not always consistent. I've been there a number of looking for a particular spice mix or vegetable and found they are out of stock. That can be frustrating, but overall this place is great. read more

Awesome store, a true gem in our neighborhood! I feel very fortunate that this store is close to my home. Lately, I have been obsessed with learning how to cook Indian and Indonesian style, and have found everything I need at Krishna's. Here, you will find crucial ingredients that you can't find anywhere else, such as curry leaves, special vegetables, special spices, and several different types of lentils, just to list a few. All at great prices, too. The staff are helpful in finding the ingredients and suggesting substitutes. They are very friendly and sometimes give me cooking tips. This is the best Indian grocery store I have ever been to. They keep it clean and tidy and they almost always have a variety of fresh vegetables at very reasonable prices. Although I find their daals and atta a bit on the pricey side, especially for smaller quantities, I forgive them for this simply because everything else is so fresh and reasonable. Even their dry spices and pre-packaged salty snacks are always fresh stock, never old things that have sat on the shelf for months. They are also very nice. The man who is usually present is kind, pleasant and always helpful. Coming from California where there is an abundance of Indian stores, I declare this Indiana grocery store to be the cleanest and best I have ever been to! read more

Was looking forward to shopping there, but the experience was terrible. The guy short-changed us $20, claiming he'd given us all our change when he hadn't. My word against his, and he wouldn't budge. A classic short-con. The ones in Boulder & Broomfield are better; if you must go here, use a credit card and watch your bill. read more

Excellent service! I was looking for a specific type of tea, and the person taking care of me directed me to a wonderful one.
