For 12-14 Euro you get a nice plate with your choice of meat, rice or potatoes and cold veggies. The meat is grilled, which can make it slightly dry, but they compensate well with unlimited amounts of sauce. This place can get busy, so be prepared to wait a little before you get served. They served delicious little snack crackers with the tea. Often these are shrimp crackers that leave a taste in your mouth like you've licked an old sea net. These were fresh and crisp with a little bit of heat. Not too much, just a nice flavor. The Vegetable Egg Foo Yong was also delicious. It was clearly cooked fresh with delicate vegetables that didn't overwhelm the omelet. I've had it from one other Chinese restaurant in Zwolle and the one I had here was far superior. It is served here in Holland with sweet sauce. That's initially a shock but in this case, the sauce was subtle and complimentary to the dish versus the other place where the omelet was just drowning in sticky goo. The fried rice was very good as well. Once again, subtle flavors of green onion and egg in the veggie version I requested. Overall, great experience.

I ordered a typical winter-meal in may because I felt like it, but was told they don't do that in the spring/summer months. Well, fair enough, so I ordered some blinde vinken for 6,95 instead. It comes with a choice of vegetables and a potatoe-dish of your choice. So I ordered the potatoes with onions and bacon, and the green beans. Both tasted excellent, as did the blinde vinken. It was nothing very exciting, nothing very special, but it was just as I hoped it would be. The potato-dish was perfect, the greenbeans fresh, the meat cooked nicely. Couldn't have done it better myself! This is just great if you want a normal meal instead of the usual take-away/delivery meals like pizza, shoarma, french fries, etcetera. Not a new place in town, just a relocation from a couple doors down the street. They moved to a…read morebigger place because of their success. Not entirely full during lunchtime on Saturday, I sit down at one of the tables inside. You can also sit outside. After a few minutes, the waitress takes my order. I choose the sandwich that bares the name of the restaurant. After about fifteen minutes, it arrives (see picture). A tiny piece of bread with one slice of cheese, one slice of salami and some pesto. For almost 5 Euro. In a town that is not exactly a metropole. Real tasty, but after about 90 minutes I was ready for my next sandwich.
