We are senior citizens with health issues and Summer is here and it's really hot, 90+ in the house. In any case, seems Mason and his family all woke up on the wrong side of the bed. He, (and they, on the phone) were rude, curt and had little to no customer service to make any person feel good about the work needed. Mason may have been very good in the past, but he seemed to be grumpy and frankly, not into the job. He tried a quick fix, lasted 3 days. When called back to complete fix, he never even came to my door (I'm in a wheelchair) and when stopped before leaving, he said it could be "awhile" before a replacement part would be installed. He added "he may have one laying around somewhere." That was enough for us. We will now go elsewhere for service. Again, perhaps this company was good at one time, but as seniors, we can not think of much good to say, sorry. When I commented about the heat, Mason said he had been "here for 29 years, and it's always hot." I could see in his eyes, he did not care at all about us. It is hard to say too much about the value here, since we had no choice in the company, and they may be much nicer when not a warranty call, IDK.

My elderly father called Ambient Edge for a no-cooling issue on 6/29/26. Their own technician's…read moreinvoice states the compressor and capacitor tested fine -- yet we were charged $1,227 for a "bundle" that included replacing that same capacitor, plus a contactor and an unexplained "soft start" module, financed through a third party without clearly explaining the terms to my father. The repair failed within 18 days. On 7/16, they diagnosed the compressor as "shorted to ground" and quoted roughly $23,000 to replace the entire system -- despite it still being under a 10-year manufacturer warranty. My father was left without AC for days in 100°F+ heat. We called an independent, licensed company for a second opinion. They found only a failed contactor -- the same part Ambient Edge had just installed -- replaced it for $460, and documented normal compressor amp draw, a healthy temperature split, and good refrigerant pressures. No compressor replacement was ever needed. The system has run fine ever since. When confronted with this, along with inconsistencies in their own diagnostic readings, Ambient Edge refused a refund and stood by their original diagnosis. Get a second opinion before agreeing to major repairs here, especially on anything warranty-related.
