Preston Engelhard was extraordinary. He was friendly and knowledgeable and made the whole dreaded car buying experience a good one. The only suggestion I have for Kupper is to do a "wash and vac" and to check all the fluids on the "as is" vehicles. I was a little mortified to test drive a vehicle and it was filthy and the oil was low. Preston was able to get the detail shop to clean it before we left and they did a magnificent job. Still smarting over having our son's Cadillac repaired in April 2020 and learned the hard way that if you have your vehicle repaired to use genuine GM parts. We replaced an AC condenser in April and it died in August. The replacement part came from NAPA Auto in Mandan. Seems the GM part was unavailable. Seems as a Customer, I was to know that NAPA would not warrant this particular part if the AC system had not been flushed. We have spent thousands in repairs with them. They have done a LOT of good work for us over the years. While they offered to discount this repair, we simply cannot afford another $1,000 repair bill for this vehicle. If you care about your vehicle not having issues after spending your hard-earned money, insist on ONLY genuine GM parts. I sure wish we had. read more

NOT the Kupper Chevrolet service I remember! So... day 6 of being stranded in AZ after a rear wheel came off- all 8 lugs completely sheared off on I-40 in Arizona pulling a camper! I waited to post hoping Kupper Chevrolet-Subaru would step up & do the right thing (especially during this Coronavirus situation). They mounted & installed wheels for us on 3/17 (on a used Ford F-250 we just purchased from them) to make a rescue trip to AZ for my folks who were stranded at a campground. They torqued the lugs to Chevy specs, NOT Ford specs per their own department manager (25# under). The remaining wheels/lugs were severely under torqued after we checked them (one front wheel lugs average 30-40# ). Thanking God it wasn't a front wheel that came off! Shop manager at Kupper tells me "it should have been good enough" and "we do everything to 140#". 4 Days & no one other than the quick lube staff even bothers to return calls to discuss. Finally after waiting another 24 hours I leave a lengthy message for the Operations Manager, Terry. He doesn't care enough to call back either- has his patronizing service manager call & say "they've been working on it" & "looking over" things- It was 4:00 on Friday - obviously hoping I'd just go away. So incredibly disappointed. How very easy it would have been for them to step up & do the right thing on their own- for which my family would have been grateful. We've purchased 2 vehicles in the past year from them. read more

Ordered a brand new 3500 pickup from them. Apparently the vehicle was made but GM recalled the vehicle because of quality issues. They told me they would sell me a 2500 pickup with some extra leaf springs in it and that would be alright. Asked how they could make the situation right with me and they said it was GM's fault and not their fault. I was not able to purchase a pickup. Overall just not a good customer experience. read more

My grandson bought a used GM car from Kramer Chevrolet in Mandan on 10/01/21. That night he locked his key in the car. We called Kramer to get one made from the vin number the next morning, less than 24 hours later. I would have thought this car would have come with 2 keys . I talked with the sales manager about paying for this key but he said it was sold as is and he would not pay for making another key . What a terrible attitude by this sales manager, after spending thousands of dollars with this business. Shame on you Mr. Sales Manager and Kramer Chevrolet of Mandan. We stopped by on July 1st around 5pm just to take a quick look around. Lucas Beasley came out to the lot and asked how he could help. Yesterday Friday 12/10/21, I spoke to Lexi at the Kramer dealership in Mandan ND, about a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my wife. She set me up with a salesperson, Shaylee and an appointment with Shaylee for today Saturday 12/11/21 at 11 AM. I told Shaylee that I just needed my wife to look at the color in person to make sure she liked it. At 11 we showed up, parked next to the Jeep and my wife liked the color. Went in and was told Shaylee called in sick and they didn't know about our appointment. We were given to another salesperson named Royce. Royce didn't introduce himself, ask our names or details of our deal. He had us sit down at his desk and immediately took a call when his phone rang. Royce got off the phone and told us there is someone driving in from another town who wants to look at the Jeep. I asked if they put a deposit down to hold it. He said no, just a test drive. I told him we are ready to buy it and we are obviously present. He said he could call us if the other deal falls through. I asked what other deal, you mean the test drive? I said you have a cash offer in front of you! He asked again if he should call us if it falls through. We got up and left. No attempt on the dealerships part to find a solution. I then called and spoke to the on duty manager, Shawn, and explained everything. I said I want to give you guys a chance to make this right since we are here, ready to make the deal, we had an appointment and we have cash. He said cash or finance doesn't matter and he really couldn't do anything about this. I hung up after I re-explained everything to the manager he declined to help. I have posted this issue on social media and I'm hearing from many that our experience wasn't isolated. I would suggest customer service training for their staff if they care. read more

I purchased a new pickup from Kupper Chevrolet yesterday. I was just looking. They weren't pushy for the sale except noting that they couldn't hold the vehicle for a day or two without a deposit. They also noted that you should be at least 90% sure you want the vehicle if you put down a deposit. It would have been nice to have a day to think about it. Other than that, their trade in offer was in the ball park and they accepted my counter offer. I plan to pick up my new pickup next week. We will see how that goes. read more

We drove up 4 hr 40 min from Sturgis, SD to look at a 03 jeep liberty but when we got there we where told that that jeep wont start but we where shown a 03 Chevy Trail blazer with the north face package i had brought my fiancee and her parents her dad is a mechanic he looked at it and was impressed i then drove it and it was a very nice SUV we worked with Jeremy and Royce. they where 2 great guys. As i was on our long drive back i just fell in love driving it we will defiantly be telling family and friends to go there and will be looking at when we need other new cars in the future read more

I recently had a meal at Grand Junction Subs and overheard a delivery driver talking with his manager about how he was treated when delivering to this location. I will NEVER shop at this location again as I am disgusted by what I heard. This boy was just doing his job delivering an order to the Mandan Kupper Chevrolet. When he arrived to drop off the order, he began explaining that a portion of the order was not there due to an issue with the fryer. The "adult" "professional" (I use these terms loosely) receiving the order decided to be a disrespectful jerk and stated something to the effect of "It must be your first day because you suck at your job". I wish I knew the name of the horrible fool who decided to take out his own incompetence on someone else. Why would you be so cruel to a young man just trying to do his job? Obviously, you sir, are the one who "sucks at your job". In addition, I read another review that states they don't offer military/veteran discounts. Obviously, the roots are deep on this tree of ill-mannered dolts. EDIT ~ EDIT ~ EDIT~ I received a response to this review and will add that the military/veteran discount is available. I was told they, "offer a military discount of 20% off parts and accessories, and full-list labor excluding oil changes or other discounts". I will also note that they spoke with the employee that made the nasty comment and he called the Grand Junction manager to apologize for his poor taste. I should probably not have generalized that all Kupper employees behave in this manner. I am happy to hear that they have made a point to address it with the employee, and hopefully, it will remind us all that we should treat each other with respect. read more

I've owned many vehicles over the years, and I purchased my first vehicle from Kupper-Chevrolet this week - the experience was outstanding! When I came to Kupper-Chevrolet to test drive a Jeep Patriot Sport, I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff. I got to meet Jay and worked with him as well as Corey Vincent. After a great test drive, I decided I wanted to see if I could purchase the vehicle. My main goal was to lower my monthly payments. After getting a great and fair value for my trade-in, I felt confident in moving forward. I was ready to get financing and this is where I met Brian Fried. He did a great job in ensuring Kupper was getting me the best payment possible since that was my main purpose and that's what they delivered. where do i start, I spoke to a salesman from Kupper Chevrolet about a vehicle they had for sale and told them that I will be trading in a vehicle as well, the salesman told me that he could not tell me the value of my vehicle without them seeing it , makes sense so I brought it to a local chevy dealership in MN by my house to find out what the value is. I told Kupper salesman what the local dealer trade in value was and he said that he can match that if not come close to it. so I drove six and a half hours to go make a deal with them and when I got there they offered me 4500 less. they said that my vehicle is in excellent condition but still offered me 4500 less. so I had to drive another six and a half hours and spent 250 dollars in gas and wasted my time. I said i be over as fast as i could. so I drove all the way from Richardton. They sold it on me. Not happy at all with customer service. Also my last service visit was less than desired. I went there and found a good deal on a car the salesman that looked at the car with me was very nice, I said I needed to talk to my dad and boyfriend since they were both mechanics and that I would be calling. Well I took my boyfriend to see it and he said what was wrong with the car would be an easy fix for him, making it a great deal for me. So my sister who was co-signing for me to get the loan went there the next morning and said I was already approved for the loan and they have the check by the end of the day and asked if they needed a down payment to save the car, the salesman said"no, since you have already been pre-approved and you both work at the bank as long as you have the check to me by the end of the day it will be no problem." So after I was off work I went to get the check and get my new car, well I get to Kuppers to pick up my car and see it parked out front go up to it and see someone else's name on it. Turned out the salesman forgot to put sold on the car and when he finally went to do it someone else was showing the car to another couple, and instead of getting a manager or going to explain the situation he simply let it go! So when I went to go get my car they were handing my keys to someone else and told me to bad it was a mess up. So they told me they make a good deal on another car for me but when I sat down with a sales man to talk about other options he let me know that they have the best price in the window and I can't expect the price I was quoted or anything around that price. Then my dad went and talked to Bob he said he look for me and try to find something well after two weeks he called my dad said he can't deny they messed up and he can't find anything in that quality of shape for that price. So he offered to take a some money off another car but my dad said he have to talk to me, while we found out that make of a car was known for transmission issues so I asked my dad to ask him about another car and what do you know he NEVER called back. Talk about good business, atleast with Resslers you knew you were dealing with good people. And if that wasn't bad enough two weeks before my cousin bought a car there and after having it only 3 days it had to be towed away because a part had broke then they wanted to charge her 500 for it when she only had the car 3 days and then when she got her car back there was gum stuck in the carpet!! Talk about wonderful customer service. Needless to say they lost my business and my respect. read more
