This is the absolutely worst run professional practice I have ever had the misfortune of…read moreaffiliating with. The staff is beyond incompetent and they have a very high level of turnover, which makes it almost impossible to ever feel as though they know who you are, much less keep up with your symptoms. I should have terminated my relationship with this practice a long time ago, but sadly I trusted them. After years of complaining about my symptoms of extreme fatigue, anxiety and joint pain they watched me undergo two rotator cuff surgeries, a four level disc replacement in my lumbar spine and two broken wrists and it never once crossed their minds that I may be suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. After spending the last two years of my life, practically bedridden, unable to work in my chosen profession and suffering chronic pain every day, I self diagnosed myself and called in before my annual check-up and asked the medical assistant to ask the doctor to add a simple RH factor test to my routine blood draw that is taken before the scheduled meeting with the doctor. She was extremely rude and refused to add this simple test and advised that I would have to see Dr. Doyen BEFORE she would order the test. Mind you, it takes over 3 months to get into to see these doctors, unless you are an "emergency." I explained that this made no sense at all and subsequently went to see a new, wonderful primary physician who immediately ordered the test. I was correct, I have RA. One simple blood test would have confirmed this diagnosis. I have lost years of my life because of their incompetence and most of my joints are too far gone to reverse the effects. I am now looking at having a knee replacement and possibly hip, as well. All they care about at this practice is pushing as many patients through as fast as possible to garner your insurance money. I requested my medical file and even that proved problematic. After reviewing the medical file for accuracy before I provided same to my new, wonderful, caring, primary care physician, I discovered that they had enclosed private, confidential records of another patient in my package! I don't know why this surprises me at all because this is singularly the worst managed professional practice that I have ever experienced. RUN, don't walk to get away from this uncaring, greedy group of doctors while you can. Unfortunately, their lack of attention to my symptoms robbed me of the ability to do exactly this.

Pretty disappointed in my visit to Pleasant Ridge Internal Medicine. I recently moved to Texas and…read moreneeded my medication refilled. I called the office and specifically asked if the person I was seeing would write a prescription for my medication (it being for ADD some doctors don't feel comfortable writing a prescription for this which is okay and why I asked before I made and appointment.) she assured me it wouldn't be a problem. Fast forward to 40 minutes into my appointment and the Nurse practitioner said she would not fill my prescription. So I wasted my time and money to literally walk out of the office with nothing. I am beyond mad at my experience.

Doctor Beadle and his medical assistant Erika went the extra mile to help me working with my insurance to get that medication I needed. We've been Patients in the MethodistNetwork for over 20yrs .We have remained in-network, even with…read moreour last 2 Doctors retiring. We've always received compassionate care, respectful interaction & comfort in knowing that our Dr cared about us as human beings. That changed with our most recent move to Dr. Eric Beadle. Our PCP before was Dr. Kathleen Humphries. She was kind, empathetic & she listened to our concerns, always looking for ways to put us at ease, help us understand the HealthPlan she recommended & answered our questions with patience & concern. She always went beyond the boundaries of black & white, to customize our care to our special needs. For example, we've had times in the past where the blood pressure medicines that I was on just didn't seem to do the job but we always worked to find the right balance, to get it back under control. During the times when it was "out of whack", she instructed her staff to approve my refills on those medications, even if I couldn't get in right away, because she was truly concerned about my health. Not a rigid policy of having to actually see me in person to authorize a medication refill. Any time that she was concerned about my HBP readings, she would call me, to see what we needed to do. I truly admired how she put my care first & treated me as she would treat her own family. Unfortunately for us, she retired. That care & compassion is what we have come to expect since all of our Doctors seemed to carry that same desire to form relationships with their patients, beyond the Patient File. The Doctor before her, who also left the practice, was also kind, compassionate, caring, respectful & decent. He was a good man, as well as a good Doctor. All of the descriptions above would not apply to our recent experience with Dr. Beadle. My Pharmacy had sent over refill requests for my BP medicines & they were denied several times. The Pharmacy said that they had no explanation & suggested I email the Doctor, to find out what happened. Our Pharmacy was so kind that they actually loaned me a few pills, thinking it was just an error. I messaged Dr. Beadle's office through MyChart & explained that I had been without my medications, that my BP was spiking daily and I told them how it was affecting my health. I told them that I thought it was cruel that my refills were being denied without any explanation & reminded them that they take an Oath "to do no harm". I explained that Dr. Humphries always approved my refills because of my issues with BP in the past & I told them that I was now regretting our switch to his office since she retired. I have been suffering without those medicines. What I received shocked me. I expected a response, providing a reason for the denials but also perhaps an apology for not getting those filled sooner, knowing my health issues, or at least questions, to see how I was. Instead I received a message, from Dr. Beadle saying that he would fill my Rx for 30 days in order to give me time to find a new Doctor. He even blocked me from being able to see another Dr. in the same Office. My jaw dropped. In my 20+ years seeing Doctors at all levels of Specialty within the Methodist System for our family, from Surgeons to Neurologists to Pulmonologists, I've never been treated so unprofessionally. I had not cursed, insulted or threatened anyone at the practice. I had not messaged or called incessantly or harassed anyone. I had only expressed frustration & fear for my health, as chronic HBP can cause Strokes, damage your kidneys, cause anemia, non-stop headaches, etc. Uncontrolled HBP is dangerous. I messaged once & that was his response. He basically said to me, "Not happy? Go somewhere else." That is not professional. That is not compassionate. That is not empathetic. That is not kind. His response was cruel, immature, petty. Once again, I have never experienced this type of behavior from ANY Doctor in the Methodist system, until Dr. Beadle. I am filing a Complaint with the Texas Medical Board & would not recommend him to anyone.

As of 02/28/2015 Dr. Nathan Darwin Hale MD is no longer practicing for his West Park Clinic after 40+ years. Per his letter and notice to his patients his illness (unknown) has forced him to retire. At his request all medical records are located at Arlington Internal Medical Group, #817-417-9334 or 817-417-9339 (Fax Request). Referral doctors, David Lee, Colleen Sam MD's and MaryAnn Efesoa NP. It totally saddens me to have heard and read of Dr. Hale leaving practice. Having worked for 9 major doctors in a Arlington clinic and choosing him as me and my son doctor for over 25 years its like having a family member go away and never coming back. He was such a warm and caring doctor. My last visit in Oct. 2014 I joking teased him about not aging and needed him to stay around for the final rights of passing for me. *Lol* I'm gonna miss him, Karen, Margaret, Carmen and even though I only saw Dr. Cherry once or twice the whole staff will be remembered as my #LifeStyle Fam.... *Tears*
