I reached out to an infamous law group in GA, whom I shall not name, since their website bragged about their expertise in post conviction relief, I got such a run around, and that was after having to make repeated phone calls just to get someone to call me back. By the way I am still waiting for that call. I was referred to Attorney Moran by a colleague of his, whose firm was a little too far from the county of jurisdiction. After receiving the facts, as promised, Atty Moran contacted our immigration attorney directly and came up with a plan of action. What really warmed my heart is Atty Moran took into consideration that I was already paying a hefty sum to the immigration attorney, so he let me know that he would get what we needed without breaking the bank. Attorney Moran is a man of his word and yes, my husband is home!!!! Job Well Done Atty Moran!

What are you waiting for...??!?…read more Let me start by saying that I research every aspect of my life. So naturally for my divorce I did just that - I talked to family, friends and coworkers while researching representation online. I wanted to better understand the divorce process and pick an excellent lawyer. I scheduled 3 interviews with perspective lawyers - the first very well known attorney stood me up. The receptionist wasn't even present during my 45 minute wait. The second spent my consultation bad mouthing other lawyers. I settled on the third. Once I paid my retainer I swore my lawyer worked for my Ex-husband! He even got irate and yelled at me during a meeting because I wouldn't concede to my Ex-husband's demands and I dared question his advisement! Needless to say I was distraught. An already impossible time with 3 kids in tow being made that much worse. I fired him. Fast forwarding to meeting Melissa. Words can't express the sense of relief I felt from my first consultation thru the conclusion of my divorce. She is warm, personable yet professional. Never did I feel uninformed about my case. She ensured that at all times I knew the exact status of my case. She and her staff communicate every update. I always felt welcome to call or email if a question arose. Responses were immediate and detailed. And rest assured, she is professionally aggressive in the best way! Once you communicate your desires and you both agree on a course of action she truly goes to work for you! Another plus? You never have to wonder about how your retainer is being spent! She will clearly communicate how your retainer is being used. You will also receive monthly statements with detailed breakdowns. Last but not least I didn't feel cut off once the divorce was final. Again she made it clear that I could always reach out to her not only for any future legal issues, but she expressed that I should reach out to her if there was even the slightest breach to the content of the decree. She has a client for life in me.

Like most, I began calling "big name" television law firms, specializing in personal injury, assuming they would take the case. I was, most literally, sorely mistaken. The firms I called either dismissed the case as too minor for their valuable time, or didn't bother to even put an attorney on the phone. The treatment I received from most of the personal injury law firms fit exactly into the stereotype of disinterested ambulance chasers I had heard about over the years. Just before giving up hope, I decided to try one more attorney and called The Burkey Law Firm. After our initial meeting, Mr. Burkey went the extra mile and hired investigators to find more details around the events of that night. He communicated with me throughout the entire process, and never failed to either take my call, or return my call almost immediately. I was extremely grateful for his personal service and professionalism, regardless of what the outcome might be. Compared to what might be perceived as his "competition," I was actually glad other firms didn't have the time for me. I knew I was in capable hands. What started out as a time-consuming, potentially pointless process ended with a just result. Since meeting Fred Burkey, I have referred several clients to his firm, and I can't imagine anyone standing up for personal injury victims better than Mr. Burkey. Rob Muse

The last Chapter 13 filing he asked for a $1k retainer fee + the $313 filing fee in duress and prior to me paying it I asked or confirmed that it would be refunded and he told me yes. if he said No I would've filed with another attorney which I had previously contacted plus I was sure that it would be refunded because this was my final attempt at filing. The biggest issue was his communication style and Greed that became apparent because my 5 year plan for $50k debt at the monthly rate didn't add up.
